Gulf Coast Cabana TMRQ401K

While the house was cute and cozy I had picked the wrong location as the beaches were not white sand and blue water. We paid $12 for parking and$55 for tent and$10 a chair to set under for 3 hours. Sad experience as we never got into the water looked to nasty.
The cozy cottage had a smell but went away quick, the rest of house was good with exception of master bathroom shower door hot to tack, we had to plunch the sink couple times in that restroom. The tv set up in living area was hang crooked and in Masrer you had to work at changing channels. Like actually get out of bed or get up to change them. Yes these are little things that didn’t made out stay there miserable just needs some care. I feel it needs some grass as I brought my little dog who could handle all the rocks. More landscaping in front and as least some Astro Turff.
Will we return I don’t think so as we like nice beach and and white sand. We enjoyed the pool but and for sure the quite ness was great.

The cottage was in an excellent location, just a short drive to the beach. It was very clean and the kitchen was nicely stocked, a plus since we cooked a lot of meals at the house. The yard was a nice bonus as we had to bring our dog, last minute. The staff was amazing as we had locked ourself out as soon as we arrived.The door locks automatically behind you. There is a note at the door but I saw it after the fact, lol. I would suggest clearing out all past codes as our 6yo son put in a random code and it unlocked the door! All in all, a great stay!

Clean cabana and enjoyed private patio. Only drawback was three chairs at dining table. Fourth chair was missing. When daughter and her husband came to visit for lunch it was awkward seating.

Loved the Cabana, very clean and spacious. First night we weren't able to watch TV in the bedrooms. They weren't working. TV in living room, was working and then the voice went off. I called and reported and was told that the next morning someone would come out and check them. My niece and sister were able to see a movie om my niece's IPad. The following morning turned coffee maker on and went to take a shower, glad my niece was up and in the kitchen, because the coffee maker spilled all the water on the counter. Glad that I had taken a few instant packages of instant coffee. We left to go to the beach, when I received a call from the repairman that he was there and going to check the TV's. I told him that the TV in the living room, worked and the one in the master bedroom also had worked that morning. So he only needed to check the one in the Guest bedroom. I also mentioned to him about the coffee maker and while he was resetting the TV, he texted and said he would go back to the office and get us another coffee maker. When we got back, all the TV's were working and he had brought a new coffee maker for us. We used it that evening, when our friends came over to visit. Everyone liked the cabana. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend Gulf Coast Cabana's to our family and friends. Can't wait until our next time. Thank you so much.

The cottage was nice and near lots of places. Some updates to consider, new patios furniture, maybe a leather couch since pets are allowed and new shower heads. After a day at the beach taking a shower was a long process due to the water pressure. The place was clean and roomy and would stay here again up dates. Great location and pretty safe area.

Wow! I was blown away by the service from our stay. Although it is not on the water it is 5 mins from the beach front. Quiet, beautifully decorated town of bright colored vacation homes. As we got there we parked so near the entrance is assigned parking and opened the private gate. I loved that we had our own space. Directions to open the door worked the first time. The house if spotless, clean and updated. There was everything we needed for dishes, towels, blankets, pillows it was perfect. TV’s in every room, walk in shower in guest bath, master was gorgeous and spacious.

So when we couldn’t get Wi-Fi we called our rental company and they walked us through getting signed in within 5 minutes. Another time we were locked out, phones, keys and purses inside. We actually walked down to an occupied house and asked if they could help. The gentleman called our rental company and then handed us the phone so they could get us in our rental. This is one of the most friendly places we have ever stayed. The gentleman owned his home and I hope he knows how much that meant to us. Will definitely always use this rental company!

We loved our rental. It was very clean and nicely decorated. There was plenty of space for my family. The rental is in close proximity to several stores and beaches. The neighborhood was very quiet and family friendly. I absolutely loved the bright colors and charm of the property as well as the surrounding properties. I would hands down bring my family to this property again for vacation. We loved it!!

Cute place but many issues. I would not pay $1400 for a 2 night stay here. The master bath toilet seat was completely off and there was mold in the shower. My 72 year old Mother could have really hurt herself. My son took the mattress off the pull out couch and slept on the floor the 2nd night because it felt like he had bars in his back when he woke up after the first night. The TV's and patio furniture are from the 90s. I read other reviews that mentioned this place is in need of some upgrades yet nothing has been upgraded. Do not recommend paying over $500 a weekend for this place. Considering we paid $600 in various fees, you would think someone collecting the fees would see the mold and broken toilet before guests arrived.

We originally booked a different cabana, but were told it was no longer available. We were offered this one instead. While not our first choice, overall, the cabana was very nice and our experience was very good. It was well appointed and stocked, mostly clean, spacious and had a great layout for our family of 4. It was also surprisingly quiet and peaceful and super close to the beach with lots of nearby dining options.

There were a couple of downsides, most were easy fixes.
-> The sofas were disgusting. There was something white and sticky splattered all over them. We had to use the extra blankets as sofa covers so we weren't sitting in yuck.
-> The king memory foam bed was super hard. Some people like it that way, so just something to point out for others. The pillows provided were super flat and mostly useless. There were additional pillows in the closet but they didn't have pillowcases.
-> The shower head in the secondary bathroom was pretty clogged with buildup affecting water pressure.
-> There was dog poop in the gravel off the patio.

All-in-all, we would definitely rent a cabana again.

Location was great.
Cons: wifi had to be reset a few times causing an inconvenience.
Water pressure in one of the showers was awful. Hopefully they will have it repaired before the next tenet.
The shower door was also off the track and fell off during our stay. This could have been a potential accident if it fell on my kids.

Great place! Very clean, plenty of space, close to beach access roads and overall loved it. Only issue was trash container was overflowing and was set out by the entrance gate. It was there our whole 3 days.

We needed a long term rental & the cabana was perfect. It was big enough and was very clean. When we had a maintenance issue, the team was very responsive to the repair. I do recommend that they upgrade the baking and cooking pans in the home. Since we stayed for three months, we did A lot more cooking at home. Thank you.

We really loved this rental...the staff was very helpful and attentive, sending multiple reminders and checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The only issue we had occurred when we arrived. The neighbor, who apparently lives at the complex and hates vacationers came ringing our doorbell telling us we were parked in her space and that we were too loud and how we “share a wall”. We had only been there long enough to unload the vehicles and we were barely parked “temporally” in part of her unused parking space, which she kept her trash can in and moved it to be right on the line, purposefully. The parking spaces are not ideal for larger trucks, and we had 2, small cars are better and should be noted in the description. Other than that little issue we would stay at the complex but would not want to stay at that exact one because of the neighbor.

Great location! Close to beach, shopping and restaurants. Very clean and maintained. Only issue was that the TVs didn’t work in either bedroom. We called on 2nd day and someone came out but didn’t know anything about cable or how to fix so we went without any television the whole week.

Only had 1 issue; the pool was dirty when we checked in; and extremely filthy the day before we left, but that is the poor management of the amenities, not a reflection on the unit.

First, Padre Escapes Rentals is super professional and makes everything easy Peary! Our rental was clean and well furnished! The only negatives were hard mattresses and the tub in the master didn't drain well. We will rent from them again!

We had a wonderful time staying here. My husband and my 18 month old went with another couple and their toddler. The backyard was perfect- felt safe with kids there playing. House was very clean, the only thing I recommend to the owners/management company is to buy some new non-stick pans as there was only one. But otherwise, i would stay here again.

We stayed at the Gulf Coast Cabana over Mothers Day weekend and absolutely loved our stay! The house was clean, cozy, and perfect for our family of four. The property description accurately matched what we walked into upon arrival. The house is a quick 5 minute drive to Whitecap Beach & Bob Hall Pier. We took our dog with us and she had plenty of room to run around in the small, fenced in yard. It was so nice to not have to worry about finding a place to board her when we were able to bring her with us! I would highly recommend this cabana for your next trip to North Padre Island!

The rental property was in fablous condition. If fit the needs for 2 adults and 5 children just fine for our stay. The only thing that upset me was no swimming pool and with 5 kids this was a big part of our weekend plans. I do believe with all the children we had we should of been offered a discount for our stay as we were not informed of this until our check in. I would stay again, however the pool would need to be open for our kids and grand kids.

My husband, step son and our 22 month old stayed in this cabana for four days. From the moment we walked inside, we were in love. My step-son, a teenager, was over-the-top when he saw that he had his own bedroom and the "big screen above his bed". As well as WIFI. My husband and I loved the decor and clean lines throughout. As a matter of fact we wished our home was more like the cabana. On the other hand, we were given a key for a pool that was dirty, but didn't care because we were there for the beach. Sadly, who ever collected the trash, dropped some messy leftovers from a previous tenant in the street in front of our cabana. Thankfully, when we returned later, they had cleaned it up and the bins were returned to their normal location.
It took two emails and three phone calls over the course of six months to confirm that we could arrive for early for check in. We finally received confirmation about about 15 min before close the day prior to our check in, only because we called back instead of hearing from the female that was to call us. Aside from that, the office staff is very friendly and welcoming.
All in all we loved our stay and the location and will likely stay on subsequent visits.

We felt at home at our Cottage and we had such a great time! We fell in love with the pool!! We had most of our meals outside on the patio which was very nice! Beds were comfy, quiet neighborhood and again we just made ourselves at home. Easy, close access to White Cap Beach. Our first time to the beach was successful, thanks Padre Escapes! We chose this rental because the photos show the Cabana to be well decorated. The photos don't lie. We were very comfortable with the newer furnishings, compared to other Cabanas or condos. We were lucky not to have any noisy neighbors. Very quiet. Nice to have a stand alone property on a cute street dedicated to Cabanas.

The pool was cloudy and the pool bathroom did not have any toilet paper. We didn't call the HOA because we only went to the pool the last day. There's a secret button on the wall to turn on the waterfall. We still enjoyed the pool until it got crowded.

I will return if I ever come back to Padre Island.

The Schlitterbaun water park will make this a great rental since it's only walking distance from the park. Padre Island will grow quickly after this park opens.

The home was very spacious and open, yet the sleeping quarters are very private. It was clean & well appointed. The covered patio is very nice; large enough to accommodate several people, but not too big to enjoy a small group. The salt water pool was a first & we found it to be very pleasant without the drawbacks of chlorine (especially for me, because of allergy). WHEN WE ARRIVED IT LOOKED CLOUDY & dirty, so we called the mgmt. Office & the next day was clear,clean & very pleasant. Thanks! One complaint: I've never paid a non-refundable fee for cleaning! I happen to be known for leaving places better than I find them!

I can not begin to tell you what a super property this was. Wanting to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal and being a cook, I was very concerned about having the tools needed for dinner preparations. Jeremy assured me the kitchen was well stocked and boy was he correct!!! I took a handful of tools I could not be without and the only things I used were the garlic press and microplane! Plush towels, beautiful decor and one of our guest who is a local said it made her feel like she was not even in Corpus!!! I can not wait to come again. Thanks for helping us make great memories.
