06/16/2017 What oceanfront living is all about!

Mark's Place at the condo is very nice. The updates to the interior are great, fully functional, AC keeps the place at a good temperature even with the extensive floor to ceiling windows which provide an excellent view! The wrap-around porch and proximity to the beach are really what oceanfront living is all about! There is a building that partially obstructs the view of the left (north) side of the beach, but the view overall is great! The master bedroom is separated from the living room via sliding wall partitions, which means that when the people staying in the second bedroom wake up, so do you (if you're a light sleeper), but this is the only way to work the living room such that you get more windows and openness, a decent trade off. After the view, what I really about this location is that because further down the beach (about a mile) is blocked from driving traffic, and the beach access road is very close to the condo, there is not a constant stream of road traffic when you're on the beach in the day (good for the little ones) and not a constant stream of headlight traffic at night. It is also close to a jetty that is fun to walk down. The community pool was also nice.

The condo is terrific. It is well maintained and very comfortable. The wraparound porch is very nice. Even in summer you can sit outside and enjoy the breeze. It is on the beach which makes for very easy access. The complex itself is a little dated, but that should not stop you from looking at this condo. I highly recommend it.

The outside is a little old looking, however once inside the unit it was beautiful. The view was perfect! The owners were very helpful and friendly. It was a great girl’s trip. The only thing was the internet was not great and there wasn't cable. We had to use Netflix when we watched TV.

This condo was right on the beach. Loved sitting out on the balcony and enjoying the views. The condo was stocked with everything we needed, just add food. The owners took the time to make sure the unit was very clean for our arrival. As some reviews mentioned, the complex seems a bit outdated, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The complex was also very well maintained. Overall, a great stay. Will return in the future.

We planned a very last-minute getaway and Mark could not have been more accommodating! The Sunrise condo is beautiful. Stunning views and very convenient to everything. Right on the beach. The beds were very comfortable, and the condo was very clean and put together perfectly. They had all the utensils needed to prepare food and the master shower was awesome. We would love to visit again and would certainly recommend it to everyone. The Sipes family!

Access upon arrival was very straightforward and the condominium staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect for a beach getaway. We simply had to roll out of bed and go downstairs to get to the beach. We enjoyed the easy access to the national seashore down the road and the fun of driving on the beaches with our rented jeep 4x4 on Mustang Island and National Seashore. The owner was very attentive and made himself available for any needs and questions. He also put effort into our special requests and needs. We would love to rent this property again.

Loved the beautiful beach view through the seemingly endless bank of windows. Great location with plenty of dining options and your choice of beaches to visit. Of course, it was just a few steps to the beach to enjoy the sun, water, and endless breeze to keep things comfortable. Hosts have done a wonderful job in keeping the place updated and with a view like this one, it's challenging to get out of bed. I would recommend this to anyone and would definitely book again the next trip to Corpus Christi. Checking in for this property was very quick and simple. The interior is updated and well maintained throughout. We loved the large living room area and the comfortable chairs. This flowed nicely into the master bedroom area which had floor to ceiling windows creating a beautiful backdrop for going to sleep or waking up. Getting clean was made easy with the nicely updated master shower with great water pressure. You'll be tempted to spend time on the wrap-around balcony which includes table and chairs for spending time enjoying the uninterrupted beach views. The kitchen was fully equipped to handle anything that you care to prepare, so don't hesitate to bring your cooking with you, if you desire. Overall, the owners have made this a tremendously enjoyable place to stay and this property should not be missed! Mark (owner) was very responsive and easy to contact. Between the great property and the superb owner, anyone can create fantastic memories at this wonderful beach-front getaway.

The photos don’t do it justice, the full ocean views must be experienced in person. Lots of windows and surprisingly quiet. Mark was fantastic with communicating frequently and quick responses. An in-room washer/dryer would’ve been nice but overall, very well-equipped. Response from Mark: Jeff, Thanks for the great comments and for being a great guest. You are correct, the pictures just can't do the view any justice. We too wish there could be washer/dryer for our guest in the condo. Unfortunately, the buildings plumbing system cannot handle the water from washing machines and the lower-level homes would suffer. However, there is a laundry next to the huge, heated swimming pool. We call it Wash-n-Tan! We suggest a dip in the pool or just relaxing in the hot tub while your wash dries.

We really have been spoiled with gulf views in other places we (Website hidden by Airbnb) it was a BIG factor when picking this year's condo. We saw the pictures and the title of Mark's condo...A TRUE BEACHFRONT WITH ACTUAL FULL ON OCEAN VIEWS...Well (Website hidden by Airbnb) the real deal! No canal views...Pure Ocean View! Anywhere inside this gorgeous space you have floor to ceiling Gulf Coast Views!! Everything was just perfect. Beautifully furnished, nicely equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, huge LED T.V. with Netflix and Amazon Prime...really cool layout and those views! The beach directly out of the gated back entrance/exit is full of sand dollars and a delightful jetty just walking distance to the left of the property. It was great fun walking down to the jetty at sunset and watching the fisherman reel 'em in. Mark was a pro with communication. We will be back to this hidden treasure! Thanks Mark for making my 52nd GREAT! Response from Mark: Thanks Jim for the great review! Yes, the jetty is great fun and a must do while you are here. I also highly recommend going a bit further to the right to visit the Bob Hall Pier with the Mikel May's Beachside Bar & Grill which is actually on the water with incredible views and fantastic fishing. Take a minute to Google pictures of the Bob Hall Pier and see the monster swordfish that was caught there. UPDATE: Bob Hall Pier was removed to be replaced in the future.

Being right on the beach and the boardwalk worked out well for my family. The view from the unit, the chairs on the deck, the ease of access all helped my disabled brother and elderly mother be able to enjoy the coast with ease. Had a nice time. The Christmas decorations were a nice touch as well as the seashore themed decor.

02/24/2018 PERFECT CONDO AND BEACH LOCATION !

You won’t go wrong staying here! This condo is very comfortable, in a great location, easy beach access, gorgeous gulf views, and well equipped with everything we needed. Checking in was easy and the condo staff are very welcoming and helpful. Even though we didn’t have the best weather, we were able to enjoy the beautiful views, walks on the beach, and enjoyed breakfast on the balcony with a beautiful sunrise. Another plus is the great pool and hot tub area. Mark is very responsive, easy to contact and available for any questions. We loved our visit to Padre Island and the surrounding area and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Gulf view from the living and bedroom areas through the large glass windows of a corner unit, in a complex with direct and easy access to the beach. The condo is clean and well-furnished and the kitchen has all the amenities. Part of North Padre Island and its charm, including the National Seashore and a short jaunt to Port Aransas. Plenty of great restaurants nearby. We would highly recommend it to friends.

The condo is well equipped with everything you need. You even have a full view of the ocean when you are sitting inside at the dining table back by the kitchen. You can’t beat the wrap around balcony and the view. They have some awesome chairs on the balcony that look over the railing. The unit is close to the elevator. The elevator is on the outside of the building, no noise, very convenient. Just steps from the beach. Large pool and the grounds are very well maintained. The gas grills in the pool area are already lit in the evening ready to cook on. Easy to communicate with the owner if needed.

Every utensil & appliance you’d ever need is in the kitchen! There were even two boogie boards six beach chairs and umbrella. 2-bed 2 bath huge granite island with stools + table, Cool little bar too. Wrap around porch on corner of fourth of six floors. (Didn’t hear a peep from above) Nice grass area before seawall then giant beach with car access. Head to Scuttlebutts nearby for great food. Only minor downside if ya need privacy from the kidos while in the condo... the master only has a sliding somewhat see through partition with no lock. Great place to visit the Selena and USS Lexington museums too. Has bath towels that can be exchanged at pool area(washing machine is down there too) bring your own beach towels. 03/19/2018 True beachfront rarity on the island

Nicely remodeled / updated room that is perfect for a family of 4. Being a corner unit, it has a larger balcony than most units and an extra expanse of glass that adds to your amazing view. There were also a couple beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. in the closet for use. The unit faces east so sunrise is awesome and by late morning the balcony is already in the shade to keep you ‘cool’. It had been nearly 25 years since I had been back to the area. There are very few properties actually on the beach due to building restrictions so understand that the few that are are older. While kept up, the overall property does show its age. However, if you want a true beachfront this is one of very few options (most are long boardwalks over dunes to beach) and this specific unit with its views and updates is well worth it. Very close to restaurants and the main thoroughfare into Corpus as well as Port Aransas. Also appeared to be golf cart rentals (don’t forget you can drive on the beach most places) across the street. As this was a bit of a late booking for us on spring break, the owner was very responsive and called us on check in day to make sure we didn’t have any questions prior to arrival. Yes, you can find some newer properties with ‘views’ or ‘beach access’ but again, if you want beachfront benefits in a nicely updated unit with easy access to the modern amenities (restaurants, stores) it is unlikely you can’t do better than this!

We had a great time at this beautiful house. It is right on the beach and the views are amazing! Mark was very helpful throughout our stay. He contacted us before our stay and gave us all the information about the apartment. Great hospitality throughout the stay including making the key available to us personally after we arrived late (almost midnight). The house is beautifully decorated. We didn't cook much, but the kitchen is well equipped with all the appliances and tools if you plan to cook. Enough pillows, bedsheets and blankets for 5-6 people. They also had nice beach chairs and fun little tools to build sandcastles :) Highly recommended!

Mark, thank you for being such a wonderful host! Even though Mother Nature sent us a cold front during our stay, we were still able to enjoy the beach from your great condo! We were even able to go swimming because the pool was heated!! It was a dream to wake up and have coffee on the balcony overlooking the beach. We cannot wait for the opportunity to return. Mark met us at the condo which was very nice. He made sure the windows were freshly cleaned so we would have the perfect view. The accommodation was perfect, the condo was more beautiful than the pictures online. The view from the balcony was amazing, especially watching the sunrise. Once we stopped at the grocery store for food, we did not feel the need to leave. Mark was quick to respond to questions & provided all the information needed prior to arrival. Check-in was very easy. The front desk person was very friendly. Highly recommend for a couple, friends or family getaway. Looking forward to our return.

This is a great rental for people with kids. We traveled with our 6-year-old twins and 2-year-old. A very quick walk to the beach and pool. Grocery store, movie theatre (it rained some while we were there) and pharmacy nearby. At bedtime we were able to tuck our kids in at one bedroom and still be able to watch TV and hang out without keeping them up. Quiet condo - no craziness. Very nice unit. Fully updated and has everything you need.

This place has a panoramic view of the beach that is breathtaking and better than the photos! Beach access is great! We got up before sunrise every morning and walked on the beach. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. The wraparound porch was awesome with weighted chairs that don't blow away. There were four of us and we never turned on the tv once from Friday to Monday - were always at the beach, pool, or eating seafood. Best getaway ever. Makes me want to retire now and move to the beach. The place was ultra clean, coffee maker was super. All appliances were new/worked great.

The views of the Gulf are what this condo is all about. Since it is the corner unit, you have a good panorama, and the wrap-around deck is a great feature. The unit is very comfortable and roomy. The kitchen is large and modern. The complex is a little dated but is clean and well managed. The owner, Mark, was very friendly and pro-active on a problem with the unit before we arrived, working with us to solve it to our satisfaction. We really enjoyed our stay! Wonderful unit right on the beach. We wanted to include the beach in our Spring Break Texas trip and this unit was perfect for my husband and I and 2 of our sons. The condo itself is older, but the pool and office are well maintained. We arrived mid-week and were able to catch up on laundry and enjoy the beach. We found some real gems (old school beach) restaurants close by and enjoyed a baseball game in Corpus Christi. I would highly recommend this unit.

What a gorgeous condo! The view was better than expected. Photos can't begin to do it justice. It was clean and very well appointed. My husband and I traveled with our son, his wife and 2 grandchildren ages 6 and 1. I cannot express how thrilled we were to find this amazing condo right on the beach! The condo was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, stocked with everything you could possibly need and the view with ceiling to floor windows and a wraparound balcony- simply amazing! We were also thrilled to find boogie boards, a raft, beach chairs and beach toys for the kiddos! We loved the beach! Although we didn’t get to the pool- it was also very nice and clean. We would also like to mention how clean the property was, and the staff was extremely nice. They always greeted us with a smile and kind words! And last but not least- we were able to meet the owners- Mark and Tatyana- they were so nice! Thank you both for sharing your condo! We were able to make wonderful memories! And yes- we are already planning another visit! Highly recommend this rental property!

If the reason you want to stay here is for the beachfront, then you will not be disappointed. A beautiful view of the Gulf and you can sit out on the balcony and enjoy the sounds of the waves. Very peaceful and calming. In the morning watch the sunrise from your bed or from the balcony. It is truly a great location, and the beach is literally just steps away. Even though the building is an older unit the inside of the condo has been completely updated including tile, furniture and stainless-steel appliances. Both king beds are very comfortable, and I will have to admit that I took a shower twice the morning of our departure because I have never showered with so much water pressure, it was awesome. The condo is decorated very nicely, and I could not see anything in that condo that needed to be touched up or repaired. You can’t say that very often. Everything is high end and in great shape. Yes folks, even with fantastic views, right on the beach, beautiful decor, modern appliances, big screen TV's and much more, you may find yourself taking multiple showers because our showers in all my homes are the best ever. WOW...WOW...WOW! If I could give this Condo more than 5 stars I would. It is right on the beach and the condo is super clean, window views everywhere and full open concept with a giant wrap around patio. We expected this place to be good when booking but it just exceeded our expectations! Mark is one of the quickest responders I’ve had when using a vacation rental and his website guide for touring around the city is worth following because we tried out most of the restaurants and locations and were thrilled every time! My husband and I explored many of the beaches around, Mustang beach, port Aransas, padre, and his condo is right on Whitecap beach!!! Which was our favorite beach! It’s the most fun and if you walk to the pier on the left there are TONS of sea turtles and fishing. If you go to the pier on the right, there is an awesome bar on the pier with food. His condo is set up for having a night in, cooking and we did that twice because you can’t find a restaurant with a better view of the moon over the ocean and breakfast with the sunrise is absolutely breath taking! The beds are also very comfy! We have decided to make this our yearly anniversary spot and hope to always be at this condo and my girlfriends, and I are already in talks of a girl’s trip after all my photos they saw. This condo is beautiful. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The location is directly on the beach, so you have beautiful views. It is also equipped with a google home and google nest thermostat. It was a little chilly the day I arrived, and the owner was able to turn the heater on for me remotely. The condo is clean, neat, beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you need. The two king-size beds in the two bedrooms are very comfortable and the two full-size bathrooms are very nice. You also have a smart tv with a sound bar but who’s going to watch tv when you have floor to ceiling windows with direct views to the beach. One of the bedrooms had the full-on ocean views and was gorgeous to wake up to with the sunrise. If you don’t want to wake up to the sunrise you can opt for the other bedroom or just simply close the shades. I never had the shades closed the entire visit. I had direct contact with the owner Who was very friendly and assisted with any questions I had. He was extremely helpful and allowed an early check-in and late check out because it was available. The condo is on the 4th floor but there is an elevator that makes carrying luggage easier. The pool was heated and was very clean. This condo is located on the very corner, so it is quiet and the views are spectacular. I can’t wait to stay here again. Thank you so much Mark!!

This place was fabulous. First of all, it was very clean and updated. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the tv and lights were linked to Google so you could use voice commands. There was an excellent website with all the information needed about check-in and check-out and suggestions for local activities and places to eat. But most of all was the breath-taking view of the water. From the wrap around deck, you can watch the waves and the sunrise. And you're just a few steps to the beach. If you have a chance, I would highly recommend this place and we plan to come back in the future.

From ease and flexibility of check-in to check out, we had a terrific experience with this property and always felt safe. The owner was super responsive to our questions, and helpful with online suggestions and links, and ready to assist with anything that might come up. The view was beyond expectations, as it felt like we were at the beach, even while inside. The balcony was shaded during the hottest times of the day, allowing us to enjoy it a lot of the time, especially during the distancing from Covid19. The beds were comfy, bathrooms had great water pressure, with many extras in the closets and with Google operated devices adding that touch of whimsy. The complex pool/hot tub was also very nice to take advantage of. We had a great time! Stayed 10 nights in May 2020

We visited this condo for a short 3-night stay. The view was amazing. We loved the rail height chairs on the balcony, plenty of seating for everyone. The decor is light and nicely done to give you like the tropic feel without being over the top. I loved waking up and being able to see the ocean from the master bed, which was very comfy. The second bedroom was also comfortable for the kids. The kitchen was well supplied. The owner was very pleasant, easy to work with and responsive. My family of 5 really enjoyed ourselves so much at Mark’s condo. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and the condo is clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated! It is literally on the beach sea wall so you can just walk into the sand. The condo was equipped with dishes, linens, and all appliances were working. Bonus features included a smart TV and Google home speaker. The air conditioner worked great, and we absolutely loved the high-pressure shower (especially after a day at the beach with sand all over us). The common area has a heated pool, hot tub, BBQ pits, and picnic tables. I read that Whitecap beach is one of the nicest beaches in the area and we must agree! Super soft, clean sand and the water was much clearer than the other beaches we visited in the area (not our first time to the area). This is our first outing in over 2 and a half months due to COVID 19 and it was easy to social distance at the condo and on the beach. We loved our time here and cannot wait to return. The icing on this cake is Mark is an outstanding host! This is my 6th time using Airbnb and I was really impressed with his response time and hospitality. We will be recommending this location!

We have consistently stayed in Port Aransas for the last 15+ years. We wanted a change and were fortunate to find this beachfront property with amazing views from the condo. It’s a unique set up with the front bedroom having sliding shutter doors that open up so that you have a much more expansive view of the beach for everyone who stays there. What we also liked was the corner unit has a portion of the balcony for our ice chests that were out of the way of the chairs on the front end of the balcony. The home was very clean and offered great accommodation for 4 adults. It was so convenient to the beach, and you could come and go as much as you desired from the beach. The owner maintains great contact with you throughout your stay if you need anything. We will definitely think of staying here again! Stayed 3 nights in Jun 2020

This condo is even better looking in person, and there are not enough stars for the hospitality Mark offers! It is truly the perfect place to unwind, start the day with a gorgeous sunrise, lallygag all day with your toes in the sand, spend the evening star gazing from the oversized deck before retiring to your comfy bed. Truly blissful! The kitchen was equipped with basic tools needed to make a few meals. Great water pressure and hot water in both showers. Super clean throughout with extras like luggage carts, folding chairs and a blender. I treated my parents to a weekend at the beach, and Mark’s place was beyond perfect. We were very sad to leave, and we can’t wait to get back!

Stunning views, immaculate property. The owner was very attentive and quick to respond. The place is a hidden gem. Steps to the beach. Most amazing sunrises right in front of the wrap around deck/balcony. Beautiful beach. Very clean. Amenities outside the property, within the complex, were outstanding too. This VRBO was by far the best we’ve stayed at, ever. The condo was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was completely stocked with every appliance we needed and a few we never used. Unfortunately, we didn’t get much beach time due to weather but chairs and umbrellas were stashed in the closet. The towels from the pool were a great bonus along with a few pool floats that were for community use. The balcony chairs were comfortable. The beds were clean and comfortable. It was a quiet area while we visited. The water pressure in the showers was very strong and the bathrooms were well stocked. A first aid kit provided a much-needed Band-Aid for a little one when mom ran out. The hot tub is adults only which was a big disappointment for my older kids. The owner checked in with us prior to arrival. The listing is very accurate, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this rental again should we visit Padre Island in the future. Great spot and awesome view!!! No issues with check in-all very easy. Mark was always available-ONLY one thing I wished I would have paid attention was when booking-there is master bedroom and sliding doors to the living space (ALL IN ONE LARGE ROOM) View of the Gulf was great from Master bedroom BUT no 4 walls was a tad of a bummer but def not a deal breaker!! One more thing-super bright in master bedroom-bring an eye mask, it helped but husband wasn’t too happy.

Well maintained property and excellent location

The property is well maintained. I got a call from Mark by 2 pm that the house was cleaned up and ready for early check-in if I wanted. There were utensils and basic spices for cooking, sand toys for kids, beach chairs and umbrellas to use at the beach. The view from the rooms is excellent. The patio is long with about 6 chairs to sit and enjoy the breeze. Overall, I liked the property and would definitely come back for another stay. Stayed 2 nights in Jul 2021

Amazing view and property

My husband and I spent a long, lazy relaxing weekend at this amazing condo! The hosts have thought of everything. We watched the sun and moon rise each morning and night from either our bed or the balcony. The short walk to the beach was wonderful! The property was great. The pool and hot tub were super clean. Unbeatable View

We can't say enough about the views. We have a 7- and 9-year-old and they love all the windows and waking up to the waves. We even got an 85-degree day in February and made sandcastles with the sand toys Mark had. He was communicative and the check in process even at 4am was easy! Stayed 3 nights in Feb 2022

There’s a reason this place has great reviews! The condo is amazing- gorgeous beach views and super close/easy beach access. Don’t let the exterior of the complex deter you upon arrival (we almost did). The management of the entire complex could do with some repairs and fresh paint- but that does NOT impact on your stay in this gorgeous well-appointed unit. The unit also has everything you need and then some. Lastly Mark is awesome with his communication and help. He arranged a massage therapist to contact us, and we had an incredible massage in the unit- highly recommend! You won’t regret your stay here and will definitely want to come back!

Breathtaking View!

The view of the Gulf of Mexico was breathtaking from almost every place in the condo!!! We especially liked the moving wall closing off the master bedroom. What a clever idea that is!! With the wall pushed back during the daytime, we doubled the expanse of the floor-to-wall window view of the beach and water! We also loved the long deck & the up-to-date kitchen with its granite countertops and stainless appliances. The fridge even had a water and ice dispenser (most condos don't)! My husband, daughter, and son-in-law enjoyed the beautiful condo as much as I did! We'll definitely be back!!!! Thanks for a wonderful stay! Stayed 2 nights in Dec 2022
