Nemo Cay Resort BC110

Appliances are old and noisy. Not enough towels and no games. First condo I’ve stayed in that had no games for kids. Was a disappointment. Will not rent this unit again. The pool was so crowded we were unable to enjoy it during our 4 day stay.

Great location close to the beach. The rental was very clean with all appliances working great including fridge, AC, & washer/dryer. Pool and playground for the kids was an awesome extra perk! Definitely would go back!

Loved this condo. Worked great for my family with plenty of room to spare. The only "issue" we really had was all the dishes were glass which doesn't work to great with a 3 year old, but a quick trip to Walmart fixed that for us.

Condo was well laid out, well stocked kitchen - even a muffin pan. Location was good with quick access to main road and beaches. Pool was warm and kept clean. Friendly full time residents and Winter Texans. Checkin was easy and response to inquiries quick.

Plenty of room, kitchen is stocked and beds are comfy. Having a master bedroom on first floor was nice to separate from kids at night a bit or if you had someone who would struggle going up and down the large staircase. Will definitely be back!

This was a great size for our family of 5. There was a missing remote for the master bedroom and the rental company had no idea where it could be. Luckily the living room one sort of worked in the master. The instructions in the living room state there should have been a Roku remote since it is a Roku TV but when questioned, they said there wasn't one. So, that was confusing, we would have preferred to use the smart tv instead of cable. There is no shampoo or conditioner given like other properties but they do give you hand soap, no laundry detergent but dish soap and 2 dishwasher pods are given. Overall, we would stay again.

It was a lot of fun, not far from the beach, rental was very clean. Everything worked great except the washing machine would vibrate and make a lot of noise when in spin cycle. other than that it was a nice trip.

My family and I spent Easter in this lovely home and had a wonderful time.
We enjoyed the pool and the beach during our trip. The only problem was the key pad wouldn’t use codes to get in when we would go out. The management did give a regular key after several attempts with key pad.
Overall I would recommend this property and would stay again.

We spent 6 weeks in this unit. It was amazing to be in such a warm location during the winter months. The condo is kept exceptionally clean, the furniture is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The 2 king beds were more comfortable than our beds back home. The bunk bed was perfect for our 2 boys. The property management company was attentive to the couple requests we had and would gladly use them again. It is a quick 3 minute drive to the beach, where you can drive on and pull your beach stuff out right on it. We do wish the unit had some boogie boards and beach chairs, if it had them, we would have given 5 stars. We would love to come back and hope its available again next time we come down from Canada.

The condo is so cute. The beds are very comfortable. TVs in every room. Really close to the beach and restaurants. We had an awesome time. Bring your own coffee filters and coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, seasonings. Bring your own beach towels. Bring your own hand soap if you don’t like bar soap. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Can’t wait to come back!

We definitely had a great time! The place was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with the necessary cookware. My granddaughters loved it. We will definitely be back. Not far from Whitecap beach so that was a big plus for us since we usually stay beachside. Only one thing that could have made this better: provide people that stay with the location of the pool.

I liked that the property management called to make sure we got the check-in information via text and email. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. It was close to everything which made the location very convenient.

We had a wonderful time at Nemo Cay Resort. The unit was adorably decorated and offered plenty of room for our large group of eight. We appreciated having a TV in every bedroom, and it was wonderful to have a king bedroom downstairs for my elderly parents. Having two king beds was a huge perk as well and one of the main reasons we rented this particular unit. The only issue we encountered was ants in an upstairs bathroom. We called maintenance, and they eventually brought over a can of Raid; however, even after spraying, by the next day the ants had returned. We simply kept re-spraying, which wasn’t that big of a deal, but I feel the property could use a visit from an exterminator who could permanently eliminate the problem, as Raid is only a temporary fix. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed ourselves. This was our first time staying in North Padre—we usually stay in Port A—and we didn’t know what to expect, but we loved the proximity to Padre Island National Seashore and Mustang Island State Park, and we will definitely consider staying here again, assuming the ants are taken care of! The communication from the property management company (Padre Escapes) was GREAT. They gave every email and phone call their prompt attention, and checkin/checkout instructions were very clear. Highly recommend them!

We had a great time at Nemo Cay. Our rental was clean and well-maintained. The towels were soft, the beds were very comfortable, the place was adorable. The complex was quiet, the pool area was great! We all loved the heated pool. The only thing we wish we had was a patio area at our condo. But we made it work - we ordered pizza and ate it poolside. The location of Nemo Cay was very convenient to everything we wanted to do on our trip. We would definitely stay here again! We traveled with 2 kids - ages 7 and 10 - and they loved it as much as we did!

The Nemo Cay complex is quite nice. Our unit, BC110, was as pictured, clean and nicely appointed with dish soap, dishwasher detergent, family board games and books to read on the beach. The pool has a designated toddler/shallow area and the main pool has big sitting ledges around the perimeter. There is also a playscape next to the pool that our children, ages 3 and 6, enjoyed. The property is a quick drive (4 minutes or less) to the beach. Schlitterbahn is very close too but wasn't open when we stayed.

Now about Padre Escapes...We requested an early check-in (1PM) and 2 days prior to our arrival date were told that someone was checking out that day but it was very likely that we would be able to check in early & to call when we were 30 minutes out. I did as directed and left a message. My call was returned 30 min later and I was told our unit hadn't been cleaned yet but they would call when it was ready. Fast forward to 3:50PM (in the check out line at HEB with a cart full of groceries, no less) and I get call saying the standard 4PM check-in would be delayed 35 -45 min. I showed up at the office at 4:45 PM and was able to check in. We were traveling with small children and the whole check-in process was a huge, annoying hassle because in my eyes it was really a 4 hour delay and not 45 minutes. I was offered an hour late check out as compensation but that didn't offer much value to me so I declined.

In summary, I would stay at Nemo Cay again but I'll book through another management company.

I apologize for the inconvenience of the hour late check-in, it's not something we like to do but the alternative would be letting you into a dirty property and that's just not something we're willing to do. We had several conversations with you prior to your arrival stating we would not be able to get you in any earlier than 4:00pm because someone was checking out that morning. We make every effort to get guests in at their desired arrival time but sometimes (especially on a Saturday arrival such as yours) it's just not possible. Again I apologize for the inconvenience but we do appreciate your feedback.
