The property is three blocks from our Son's house where three families were meeting, so the location was great. It is also convenient to local businesses and the national park, all of which we wanted access to. The checkin and checkout process was great.

Even though you search for large dogs welcome. Read the fine print!!
We booked a quick weekend to get away. No problems until the day we needed the new code to extend our stay. Nosey homeowners started asking us tons of questions and harassing us about the size of our dogs. We honestly had NO idea!! I called the vacation rental company and told them about the situation. She said your dogs are over 25 lbs? Yes
Charged more for another day. KNOWING my dogs are over 25 lbs!! Then calls us back to kick us out because homeowners called and complained. We were given the option of putting our dogs in the pound she said!!!
Totally ruined our trip!! They should have given us other options knowing our dogs were too big. They still charged us to stay. Crooked company!!!!

The website does list the rules for our Palm Bay Complex and we are in no way trying to be "crooked:" The homeowners were simply following the rules and should have made us aware instead of questioning you, I apologize on their behalf. We accepted your extension but after following up with their HOA they informed us that we could not allow it. We have other units that do offer accommodations for larger pets, however there is a 2 night minimum and you were looking to extend for one night. Other than that, we are happy to hear you did enjoy majority of your stay and we hope to host you in one of our other awesome complexes that accept large fur babies!

The rental was dirty, unclean and in dire need of maintenance. The unit was covered in dust and cobwebs, had a broken light cover, a chipped table, a rusted shower curtain rod, mildew covered air vents and stained/flat pillows. The air conditioner was extremely old and went out during the middle of our stay. I cannot recommend that anyone stay at this property, as it was not a pleasant experience.

Thank you for the feedback. This owner has since replaced the AC so that is no longer an issue. The damaged and worn out items have also been addressed. We appreciate your feedback, it has helped us to greatly improve the condition of this property.

We had a great experience, but I have a couple of suggestions. I had to buy a pillow because they were so old and yucky. I left it there. Consider changing pillows once a quarter . If people steal then charge them. The dishes were dirty. I recommend getting rid of some of the duplicate dishes (or get new dishes better yet) and make sure the dishes and cupboards are cleaned once a month. The toilet base was loose in case you want to check it. The apartment is very dark. BUT - the bed was excellent- the water pressure was excellent, the cleanliness overall cleanliness was excellent. The pool was great! The hose outside was great! The location great! The towels were great! The washer and dryer are a game changer. Worth the extra money! Communication with the property management was so easy and seamless

This little gem was in the perfect location! Nice townhome community, well maintained. The beach is just seconds away! (Short drive). The accommodations were perfect, nicely decorated, clean unit. The only negative comment is that the unit smelled a bit musty but it cleared up after we ran the A/C a bit.

The Palm Bay breeze was a close to the beach and the pool was refreshing and so much fun for the kids! I would stay on this property again BUT NOT the condo we got. We have 2 small boys and planned to use the pullout couch to sleep. There was no fitted sheet and only 1 thin blanket provided. There were pillows but no pillowcases to go with them. Also, there was black dog hair all over and the pull out bed needed to be vacuumed. There was a stinky black slime in the washer as well. The size was perfect and if they would have cleaned it better and provided the basics, our stay would have been perfect. For the high price, I had expected a few more amenities. I did send an email about all of these issues but never received a call or email back. That was disappointing.

We were told we’d be right by the pool ..when called to make reservations ..not so.veiw from patio was a blank wood wall..paid $75.00extra for our dog..absolutely no place to take him to do his business except Back of Stripes..the apt was spacious, fully equipped with everything we needed and very clean..staff very friendly when we checked in

Thank you for your feedback, we apologize if it was not communicated clearly that this is a second row property so it is not directly on the pool (which saves you from the pool noise). Towards the other end of the breezeway (opposite end from Stripes) are several open lots that people will typically take their pets. It's always a great experience staying at Padre Scapes. My family and I had stayed in four different condominiums and they all have great furniture, pools and locations. We are in love with Padre Scapes and we highly recommend it to all our friends and family. We usually stay for less than a week but we are planning next time to stay for a lot longer. Nice condo. Great pool especially for families with toddlers. Bed was not the softest but sleepable. Easy check in/out process. We would stay again.

felt secure well lit at night, unit had most everything we needed. Was comfortable. Draw back for me was no shops, grocery store, had to drive 10-25 miles to do anything. In a months time put at least 1000 miles on my car just to shop and go to movies, golf etc. After driving two day to get there did not like spending so much time driving. THat just me...ha I would recommend as a quiet place to stay.

Thank you for your feedback. A large grocery store, like HEB, is just over the bridge 10 minutes away. The movie theatre and malls are 15 minutes away. If you're going to the Texas State Aquarium or USS Lexington those are roughly 25 minutes away. Thank you again for your feedback. Hope we seeyou back again soon.

cpb 703 is nice and clean with plenty of room. The pool was great for kids. It is right next to a gas station which is convenient if you need snacks, drinks, or Ice. Only things I didnt like about the unit were the pans are cheap and all the food sticks to them even using plenty of oil. Also the walkway outside is so overgrown I had to trim the plants to get inside the unit. I felt like I was the landscaper but I was the one paying.

Palm Bay was a good location for us. It is centrally located between Corpus Christi and Port Aransas. The unit was pretty well described. The negative items were as follows: the unit's bedroom faces a very busy road so there is quite bit of road noise, the barbeque grills were very dirty, the pool was also not very clean. Now that I said that, we would probably stay here again, but not in this unit.

This rental property is very nice. Comfortable bed and nice furniture. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of dishes, pans, silverware. I loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer. It was a very quiet stay. I loved the fact that there was nobody above us stomping around. It is convenient to grocery stores and gas stations. I have no complaints. Evan at Padre Escapes was so nice to us. He delivered excellent customer service.

The condo was great. It was clean and all the information we needed was clear and easily accessible. It would have been nice to have had some coffee and some basic cooking condiments i.e. salt & pepper and cooking spray. With four people staying, we could have used a few more towels and some that were not wrapped in cellophane, which we found in the master closet. Also, an iron and ironing board would have been helpful.

There should be an iron and ironing board in the luandry closet, if not we will add one. Texas state law does not allow for any food products of any kind to be left between stays, even coffee or salt and pepper. Glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope we see you back again soon.

Ice maker was not working which stunk because we had to buy bottle water in order to have cold water and would have been nice to have an iron and board. I should say they did offer to have someone fix the ice maker but I declined because we did not want someone there while we were staying there. Nothing to hamper our stay though.

The condo was very nice. Bed was comfortable, was nice to have a full kitchen and plenty of room. Enjoyed the fact that our dog was welcome. However, very disappointed that there was no dog walking area. The areas around the condo (empty lots) are full of stickers and there was truly no designated pet area. I am accustomed to taking my dog with me wherever I do and generally pet friendly lodging is associated with a designated pet area. Regardless, we had a great time! The pool area was very nice with very nice furniture. It was a very pleasant stay. I will recommend to friends/family for a location to stay when they visit. I wish the price was a little cheaper for what was provided but overall it was a nice, pleasant and relaxing stay.
