We notified the office staff at Surfside on Friday that we would be leaving on Saturday morning, a day early due to weather concerns. On Sunday we were sent a checkout link that did not work and threatened with additional charges. The rest of our stay was very good. Names should be Greg & Bonnie Nelson

I've stayed in a ton of rentals. This one is great. There were many extras to make the stay easy. For example, the bathroom is small so they provided bins for people to move their items back and forth to the bedrooms. There were lots of places to hang towels and four ceiling fans to move air. Both rooms had multiple luggage racks instead of just one for the whole place. They had a full length mirror and hooks inside the front door to hang jackets and dog leashes. They offered both a Keurig and a regular coffee pot. Bedside lamps, plenty of seating, four-plugs + usb ports next to beds. There was just obviously a lot of thought put into making the space as efficient and usable as possible. It was clean. It felt safe. It wasn't too loud. The courtyard is awesome, and the location is too. It's literally across the street from the seawall, sand, and public restrooms at Michael J Ellis beach. We would stay again.

It was really quiet. Close to the ocean. The only drawback is there isn’t enough to do. You have to drive for a bit to find attractions. Other than that it was fun.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great that we had our whole family and our dog. Very welcoming and for the most part unbothered. I was a little bothered that we got a call stating there are complains of weed coming from our condo. I understand they were doing their job but it sounded accusatory and it definitely wasn’t us.

A security guard showed up an hour later .....again I’m glad they were doing their job but it was a little accusatory again.

Overall a great stay and we definitely would like to come back!

This was our 2nd time renting with Padre Escapes and we were very satisfied again. Everything from booking, payment, check in and check out is very seamless. The properties are extremely clean. This property is very roomy and walkable to the beach. Would stay here again!

I have no complaints about this property. Very easy to book, and communication from the management team was great. Check in is at 4 but I got a text and an email at noon the day of saying our room was ready. To check out all I had to do was click a link on my phone and we were good to go. On site staff was friendly and helpful, we needed a couple of extra towels and the brought them very quickly. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The dog walking spaces were nice and clean, plenty of pet waste stations and well lit. It was family friendly but also quiet. Great location as well, 2 minute walk to the beach. I would absolutely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Office staff were very helpful and professional, the condo was perfect! Comfortable beds, reclining chairs and couch, well equipped kitchen. It was a great place for our family to call a home base during our time on Padres island!

It is a nice, clean condo. It had everything needed for our stay. The location is close to the beach and restaurants. It has well-maintained grassy areas for pets.

The value was good for what we paid. Surfside is old, but the courtyard is still well maintained and our unit was updated. We would return to this unit if it weren't for the beds. Even our kids asked to stay somewhere else next time because the beds were so uncomfortable.

The unit was just as the website posted and if you overlook the outside as we did everything was great. The staff was excellent with our stay. Sometime in the future we would definitely stay again.

everything was awesome the pool, bbq pits and the rooms are great one ting that i don't like was the hot water on the tub can't make to work fine to get the temperature on the water was making to much noise between the walls

My BFF and I wanted to bring our teenage sons to the beach and this was the perfect location for us. We could walk across the street to enjoy the sand and waves at any time (even a moonlight visit!) and then relax in the pool. The boys loved the living room set up with the large TV and connected their game system for indoor fun. With only one bathroom, we had to plan/coordinate our shower time. The second bedroom beds seemed very small for queen-size, so to accommodate 4 teenage boys, we had to use the sofa and an air mattress that we brought along. The kitchen did not have a baking sheet, so we had to improvise when baking biscuits. On our first morning, we discovered the oven wasn't working, but the staff was quick to find a solution for us and had it repaired the next day. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely visit again. The outside of the property isn't much to look at, but when you enter into the beautiful and peaceful courtyard, you feel like you have entered an oasis. The other guests were very friendly and overall it was a very nice family atmosphere.
