Great getaway
Short walk to the beach. The house is very nice and very clean. It's exactly what we were looking for to get out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had a great tine.

Poor condition, need attention!
This property was in need of some work. The furniture was broken and we couldn’t use the loveseat at all as the back was broken on one side. The bar stools were so wobbly you were afraid to set on them without them breaking. The back patio was filthy and chairs were damaged as well. The refrigerator did not dispense ice or water. You had to reach into the ice bin to get ice. Sink disposal made a terrible racket and we finally were able to get some pieces of metal out of it. The shower in the master bath only produces luck warm water at best and you had to let it run for quite a while to even get it slightly warm.
We did call padre escapes to address the problems. Also sent them photos. They did offer to come over, but who wants to sit and wait for a repair person when you are on vacation. I think when they do their inspections of the property these things should have been caught and addressed.

Beach Labor Day Weekend
Amazing property; 3.5 bedrooms, 2 full baths and 1 half. Pool across the driveway conveniently located. Full kitchen and amenities. Stay was comfortable and about 1/2 mile to the beach, easy to go and come if we needed to.

Home is clean and inviting. I would stay again. Management is friendly and courteous. Walk to beach access is a short 3 blocks . Double check your departure date . While booking software changed from my departure date set . It cut it 1 day . It was my fault for not noticing. We came back from the beach to the shock of needing to pack everything up and find another place for the night. Management was understanding and didn’t charge us for the extra hour to vacate.

Super comfy and accomodating for 7 family members!
The management was extremely responsive when we reported a less than clean AC intake screen and filter. It was addressed immediately before my asthmatic grandson arrived. There were plenty of beds and extra sheets available; comfy couches, TVs in every room, a nearby pool, and a large garage for extras. We were able to take advantage of 1 guest parking space for 1 night (2 in garage) but remainder in the street with no overhead lights; might be a consideration for some. About a 2 block walk to beach, but a drive is required to transport a canopy, chairs, coolers, etc. for an all day stay.

Excellent property and location
Property was very clean. There are plenty of kitchen appliances, but not much in the way of mixing bowls, strainers, etc. We brought everything with us, so we had what we needed.

Plenty of seating in the dining, living and bar area. We had enough room.

AC was cold. We had a clogged shower drain that was unclogged the next day. This could be avoided with preventative maintenance.

We all had to bring extra bath, hand and face towels as there was only one per person. There is a washer and dryer with one free detergent/softener, but who wants to do laundry just to have a bath towel while on vacation.

Great proximity to the beach. We rented a golf cart that fit in the garage. Plenty of parking on the street for friends and family to visit.

Community pool was clean, but there was no shade. We used it every day after the beach. It was great.

I highly recommend this property, and we will definitely stay there again next year!

I loved this place!
This spacious set up slept my family perfectly and the amenities were favorable. I’ve stayed at quite a few places here on the island but this one was definitely my favorite as it was homey and cozy. The only downside was the patio wasn’t clean at check in.

Nice place to relax
The condo was well equiped and was very comfortable. The only drawback is having to park on the road since my truck and suburban wouldnt fit in the garage

Comfortable and close to the beach
Comfortable and close to the beach. Community pool was a plus only thing missing was bbq pit to enjoy the covered patio and have dinner. We had car trouble and the property had someone come help us with our dead battery very help gentleman. Good experience staying at this location

Nice, comfy stay on North Padre Island
The condo turned out to be larger than it appeared online & comfortably accommodated the 9 in our family group. The bed in the smaller guest bedroom sags quite a bit in the middle & wasn't the most comfy, but everyone else said they slept well in theirs. We were a little surprised at the quantity of paper towels, toilet tissue, garbage bags, etc. that was provided, just enough to get you started, since most of the vacation rentals we stay with nowadays provide enough for the duration of your stay. A grill on the back patio would have been an added bonus, but I suppose that may be against fire code. Gaining access to the rental was easy & being able to park in the garage came in handy. The home was nice, well-kept, & decorated in a cute beachy theme. All in all we would stay here again.

Close to Beach - Lots of Room (spacious)
The location was perfect; out of main town busyness, but close enough to get to! Beach literally across the street! Lots of room, very spacious! We were there with our family 9 and everyone was comfortable at all times! The only downfall was the parking; only 2 garage spaces, no parking in front of garage due to setup to get in and out! Not convenient with bigger trucks!

Needs updating and better cleaning
Upon arrival we found two dirty washcloths (with small black hairs) in the upstairs shower. White paint on stairwell was sticky and dirty. Everyone said their mattress was uncomfortable. My husband and I slept in the king upstairs and found it lacked support and VERY used. Townhouse was cute. Plenty of space. Neighbors across did party until late. No worries tho.

Our Fantastic Island Retreat
We truly enjoyed our Beach Haven condo. It was clean and very welcoming with fun and beachy decor. Furniture and furnishings were practical but with style and comfort in mind. Only negative we observed was the couch cushions were lumpy to sit upon. What a surprise that on day 3 of our stay a new sofa and loveseat with built in recliners were delivered to replace the old ones. Okay now the place was better than good. Our initial disappointment that we were tucked away in the back of the complex became very much a blessing. The unusual windy conditions durning the month of April made being outside difficult but our patio and balcony were protected so we could maximize our outdoor living space. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans and utensils. The vacuum cleaner didn’t work when we tried to use it and a brand new replacement was brought to us within an hour. Definitely a 5 star experience and demands a return visit. Nearby, Salty Dolphin great for a beach refreshment.

Family Time
We needed a get away to visit with family and this turned out to be the perfect spot. Everything was just perfect from beginning to end. The stay was simple to set up and all communications were efficient and clear. We had a lovely time and would return. 5 day stay
We had a great time on our vacay. There was plenty of room for all 11 of us to not be on top of each other. We were able to cook in the well stocked kitchen and we enjoyed the patios for cards at night and just hanging out and having drinks. It was a very centralized location close to the beach.

Great place
This was a great place to stay! There were 9 of us...4 adults and 5 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. The beach is 2-3 blocks away and easy walking. I would definitely stay here again. The best thing was everyone is super friendly

Great getaway
This place was very clean and was well laid. We had a couple of issues, but they are easy fixes.

Upstairs mattress were awful.
King bedroom upstairs right wall outlets were not working. Didn’t know that till after our phone died during the night and missed our alarm for our fishing guide.
No kitchen essentials...salt, pepper,...

Very nice beach house for families
This house is very close to the beach, a 3 minute or less drive. Fantastic for large families or anyone who wants to cook or do laundry while on vacation. We really appreciated having the garage for our cars! Everything was very clean and well decorated.

Exceptional Customer Service!
While we would not recommend this particular property to anyone we can't say enough about our experience with every single one of the Padre Escapes team of professionals. From the office staff to maintenance they were all wonderful! Anyone team member we interacted with was responsive, kind, patient, understanding, receptive & professional. I applaud all of you working there especially the way you've handled not only COVID but the "Big Freeze" as well. Keeping us informed, updated and always asking permission before entering property for maintenance. Your efforts did not go unnoticed. Thank you all for making our stay brighter! Needs more ceiling and fans in patio area no wind building block
We enjoyed the weekend! It was awesome , the only little problem needs better pots, pans and ceiling fans in the dinning room n living and outside in the patio cause no wind at all the building block the air and needs a new bbq pit last tenant left the grill so dirty that we had to put gloves on and clean it really good,. For the next people that stay should be clean also the last tenant left all dirty barbecue utensils underneath the barbecue pit . Other then that it was a good get away .

Great Place to stay!

Family getaway
Overall a nice place with plenty of space. Although stated extra cleaning was done. There were a few spots missed. We cleaned no issue. Kitchen is very dated with pots and pans not so great. I know on most vacations it isn’t an issue but for me It was as I cook daily. With rest of house pretty well updated the kitchen and bathroom cabinets clearing showed their age.
Coffee pot was aged but did a pot of coffee in about 15 minutes. There was a kurig option but with a large group not economical for us.
The furnishings were Updated beach rustic so everyone liked that. Having a bbq outback was great as didn’t need to bring ours or find one to grill. Back Neighbors were close.
Only Parking is garage is a nice feature but tight; two of three vehicles would not fit. Parked on street no problem but upset one neighbor quite a lot when we packed for the beach as we had to park in front of garage. Also no disabled parking anywhere. So was a bit challenging with our elder family and disabled vet. However, we managed.
Upstairs master needs curtains on French doors as no privacy. Upstairs balcony Was very nice to have.
We would recommend this to others.

Great place to get away
Very close to the beach. Washer Dryer in garage, parking was special, must park in garage and the neighbors love to block you in... Didn't watch tv, can't say if it's any good. Dishwasher worked. POOL WAS COOOOLD... Master BR does NOT have a bathtub. Bring laundry and dishwasher soap and extra garbage bags. The bed was not very comfortable, memory foam mattress that wanted to suck you into the floor, great if you are a back sleeper, **** if you are a side sleeper. Overall a great place to stay.

Perfect
I love using VRBO for rentals. Knowing what you want in the rental makes the search a breeze. The ease of the process is great. The owners give great descriptions of what they offer so it helps to make your decision. I chose this rental because at my visit last year I brought my grandsons to the go kart track nearby. It wasn’t in downtown Corpus Christi, but everything we needed was les than 15 minutes away. And the beach was only a quick walk from the condo.

our needs well. I personally had a problem with the fitted sheets in one of the bedrooms upstairs. No matter how I tried to secure them, they would not stay fitted.

Positives:

Negatives:
No heated pool, no soundproofing from room to room, dishwasher should be replaced.(works but not well)

Beach Haven Retreat Jul 2018
We stayed at the Beach Haven Retreat #304 in June/July 2018.

No surprises in regards to the property description. Everything was as expected. The property was well-maintained and clean. The house itself is really nice. The layout was perfect for our group of 8. We had 6 adults, 2 kids, and a pet with us.

We rented a golf cart to get go back and forth from the beach. The drive to and from the beach was easy, and the beach could be accessed within 4 minutes from 2 different routes.

The back patio was well shaded for our dog, and there is a small "dog run" through the gate that was used by him occasionally.

We had some friends over on Saturday night and used the grill on the back patio. The grill is charcoal, so bring charcoal if you plan to use it. There is a large table on the back patio that made it easy to season everything, grill it, and socialize.

What's keeping me from giving this place a 4 or 5 star rating are the beds. Each of the beds in the main rooms squeak or make sounds when you move, and are rather uncomfortable. Not a huge deal, normally. But, really feel this could be improved for future stays.

We had to call the rental management company to get our check-in instructions, but they had them to us prior to arriving at our destination. The toilet in the downstairs master bathroom ran constantly, but maintenance, when notified, responded in a quick manner.

Overall, a nice place and a pleasant stay.

Fun in the Sun for Winter Texans
The Location of this unit is great. It's only a short walk to the beach. The pool at the complex is not heated, so you really couldn't use it until the weather warms up in the spring. We were there for 4 months and hosted several parties with our Winter Texan friends.The patio provided a nice area and expanded our living area when hosting parties. It was great to have access to the garage also. If we did have an issue with anything the staff were quick to resolve any problems. The unit only has basic cable which does not include ESPN. We were required to pay for this coverage during our 4 month stay. One other thing, the two mattress on the two queen beds need to be replaced. They were terrible.

An awesome place for a Get Away!
We had a great stay, it was our anniversary weekend. The rental was very clean and had everything we needed and more. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Will definitely be returning next year...... If not Sooner ;-)

Beach Haven Retreat TBH304K was an excellent rental. Have rented many coastal properties in Texas, but this was one of the best. The unit is comfortable, clean and well equipped. Very close to the beach and close to two beach access roads. The BBQ grill could have used some cleaning.

At Beach Haven Outdoor Living is Fantastic
This was my 3rd rental from Padre Escapes, and I can't say enough great things about this property management company. I will always rent from them when I visit Corpus Christi area. This 2 story 3 bedroom condo was perfect for our needs. We spent a lot of time on the covered patio, and our dog enjoyed the patio and the side yard where he could romp. This is walking distance to our favorite bar and grill The Boathouse, and to the beach. Love the distressed furniture look in most of the rooms.

Beach Haven was a great retreat.
I truly enjoyed spending Jan and Feb on Padre Island. The unit was as described, clean, close to the beach and comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. I was thrilled with the extras this unit had - balcony, patio, garage and the side yard was perfect for the dog. There was plenty of room for visitors. I highly recommend this unit. My main activity was walk on the beach. The Boat House restaurant is only a block away and all my visitors enjoyed it. The only issue was lack of a BBQ grill, which I might have only used once or twice anyway, so no big deal.
