BAD CUSTOMER RELATIONS
Property ok for the most part as I believe nothing will ever be perfect in rentals. Negatives were mold on ceiling of master bedroom, bar stool legs fall off if picked up to move, spare bedroom bed frame was to small for bed caused you to fall off if sitting on the edge of bed and or getting up out of bed, stained carpets in bedrooms( carpet, beach and pets don't go together) , spare bath up stairs don't drain well (ankle deep while showering ) few dust bunnies with pet hair. after removing trash bags from laundry room trash, trash bend was filthy, only 1 outside seating chair for a 8+ occupancy rental. Positives were spacious, plenty of utensils and cookware, nice views on the canal, nice neighbors and friendly community. Now the AC went out and did get if fixed roughly 5 hrs. However Padre escapes (Hunter F. handling the situation on speaker phone) did not want me or my guest leaving and began to tell me that me and my guest how we should be comfortable if and when they get the temp down to 75 degrees and there will be no refunds and or discounts because this is Padres escapes policy. Needless to say this went on with the slumlord ( Hunter F. ) for quite a while on his maintenance guys phone ( maintenance guy was a outstanding gentleman I might add) we packed everything up and cleaned the place as they wanted (while it was hot ) Ac got fixed around 8pm and we rolled out at 9:30pm. House changed 1 degree in that time. Be very cautious if you rent through Padre Escape as they are not for the customers wellbeing they are for the dollar bill. My stay was covered and partially refunded ONLY because I rented through AIRBNB with insurance. We are in our 50's looking for a good vacation but unfortunately the main memories will be a horror story from Padre escape Hunter F
