El Constante 101K

We come to the island several times a year but one of them is always October. We’ve stayed at many other properties but have been staying at El Constante more and more often. They ate wonderful condos right on the beach.

The rental was perfect for our needs. We were attending a wedding on the island and wanted to stay on the beach. We’re usually hotel people but couldn’t find anything on the water, so we used AIRBNB. I was initially hesitant as we’ve had an issue in the past but this location was perfect; patio on the beach front, clean, well appointed and the hosts instructions were easy to follow. Zero complaints and would use them again.

I have been staying here since I was a kid and it is always a good, pleasant stay. The room was great, right on the beach. The bed was so soft, the pillows could have been more firm however. The front desk people were so nice and helpful. I will keep coming back, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Our time spent on the beach was wonderful- the room was clean.
We were unable to use the TV because we could not connect to internet. We used our hotspot - we don’t really watch much tv so not a problem - Just wanted you to be informed.
Kindly, FYI - When the dishes were put away they were soaking wet.
And, we have stayed in this room before and the mattress cover is really soft, not very supportive.

Our stay was easy and very comfortable. The unit couldn't have been more conveniently located and had everything we needed.

The only imperfections--
- the AC made a noticeable high-pitched noise any time it ran
- the toilet seat is small and flimsy and pinches
- towels and TP were nearly not enough for the length of our stay
- the porch chairs were small and flimsy; we worried they'd break
- the TV is in a peculiar location the one time we used it

Padre Escapes was great and El Constante is great. CONDO 101 is in a wonderful location facing the ocean BUT located next a bank of several LOUD air conditioning units (beware if you like quiet sleep atmosphere). Also the bed is VERY SOFT mattress with pillow top plus a 3" memory foam on top. We took the memory foam off and I still sunk down but could tolerate it. This is not a standard hotel mattress.

Love the location, right on the beach. Will recommend the property but not that specific condo. The air conditioner had a high-pitched noise all the time. The condo had such a strong smell of mold and mildew that we had to leave the door open to air out when we arrived. One guest had respiratory problems because of it.

Check in was a breeze as everything is done on-line. The property was SUPER clean and in tip top shape as everything was in perfect working order. On Saturday I couldn’t get the TV to come on to cable and guest services were there within 5 minutes to adjust the cable box and bring it back on line. Excellent customer service!

As always it is a pleasant stay at the beach. Your staff is very helpful and pleasant. They always take good care of the us as we have been coming there for a long time. The dishwasher in the unit was not working properly and they were not able to fix while we were there so we had to handwash all of the dishes while we were there. We always try to leave it clean when we leave. In the bathroom there was mildew on the crack behind the sink where the granite meets. The corners in the bathroom are very dirty, all the floors in the unit need a thorough cleaning. The sofa is wearing out as it sinks and makes it hard to get up. The dining room chairs made a loud noise when moved across the floor so we took the liberty and put some pads on them so they weren't so loud. The bed is very comfortable. Love the new fridge and the kitchen is well equipped.

Overall, this is a great place to stay. However, there were a couple things I noticed with the condition of the property: no hot water, has tankless heater that tripped the breaker every time we attempted to use hot water. The hand towel holder fell off the wall, useless. I left a list of issues on the kitchen counter. Terrific beach access. Clean grounds, small shower to wash sand off prior to entering the condo. Nice porch, good view of beach and surrounding area. Comfy bed. Needs new coffee maker and shower head.

Have stayed in El Constante Unit 101 MANY times over last 20+ years, so obviously, we like the unit. But 3 frustrating issues with most recent stay: 1)Had no hot water-the repairman said the water heater in locked closet was off after a power outage. Then had to wait another 48 hours for full hot water to kick in. 2) Bed was replaced sometime in last couple years, and the mattress and added topper are super uncomfortable-way too soft, NO support. Had backaches the whole stay. 3) We are used to hearing people walking in unit above, because there is no insulation/sound-proofing, but this time the folks upstairs were running, stomping, slamming things on floor, no way to sleep through that. Called front desk and asked them to intervene, was told probably new guests moving in and excited kids. No change in noise level. Made our time a lot less restful and enjoyable

We loved our stay in UNIT #107 & 101!
It’s spectacular to wake up to the sunrise.
Unit 107 had these small black bugs flying around. Looked like fruit flies & Unit 101 has a horrible smell in bathroom sink. Our stay was perfect except for those two mentioned! Unit 101 is decorated so nice! Another thing!!! Bring a good knife with you because the knives in both units are dull. Hard to slice a lime & units don’t have a nonstick pan. VIEWS & LOCATION THE BEST!!!

The condo was lovely and just the right size for a getaway with my husband. It was comfortable and had almost everything you needed. With your front porch looking at the waves and the quiet even with the beach full of people was perfect for reading and having a glass of wine. Walk right on to the beach for a lovely walk up or down the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this condo anytime. In fact we are thinking of coming back in the fall if we have the time. The only recommmendation that I would have is stock coffee filters if possible. I know covid has changed so much so maybe that is not allowed and maybe at least one coffee sample for the pot on the first morning. Otherwise this location was ideal!

The overall outside property is clean and well taken care of, but the room itself needs more attention. The amenities are find but the cleanliness of the of the room is not acceptable. The odor of the room was noticeably musty, or cigarette, or doggy smelling when we walked into the room which they tried to fix by putting a ionizer in while we went shopping. After sitting on the sofa we noticed that it smelled also. The area carpets were very dirty and a trip hazard for disabled people. The furnace roared and whined so was very irritating when it came on. I have loved staying here for many years but the quality of housekeeping is questionable. The floors are in need of deep cleaning. Our slippers were filthy after just a day of walking in the unit. This is not the first time that we were disappointed with our room. The appliances were clean, the bed was comfortable, the fixtures in the bathroom were clean, and appearance of the room was nice. The tv and accessories were in a awkward spot and the internet would not stay connected in our unit. We would have to connect to other rooms.

This unit does not ALLOW smoking or pets so I wonder if you were getting a whiff of the fresh sea breeze. We take great pride in the cleanness of our units and cleaning issues were not mentioned during your stay. Please note for the future that we would be more than happy to send a housekeeper back to walk the unit with you and address problem areas if any. So relaxing. Very inviting, clean, colorful, comfortable. Bed and bedding was heavenly. staff was beyond helpful and johnny on the spot. pool, sidewalks, parking lot, boardwalk, bbq area, porches, everywhere I looked was spotless. extremely secure with property codes, never felt scared or uneasy. This particular condo however did not have things I have come to expect: salt, pepper, coffee, filters, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. the VERY BASICS were missing. Kind of weird because everything else was amazing but other than that? I will definately be back. Wonderful 2 days.

We love the condo! But, the ceiling fans or in bad shape. The one over dining shakes real bad, and the one in the bed room growls all of the time when it is on low speed. The air conditioner struggled to keep the condo cool in the heat of the day.

This is an ideal location if you are looking for quick access to the beach. This unit has an extra window with boardwalk views. The condo was clean with a fully equipped kitchen and a very comfortable queen sized bed. The only drawback was hearing the heavy footsteps and activity of the upstairs occupants. So no sleeping in if the upstairs unit is occupied because the kitchen of the upstairs unit is over your bedroom. Other than that we highly recommend this unit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this place. It was nice to walk into a clean, safe place and feel right at home. Everything we needed was there except the food we brought. Nicely updated and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Was a bit dismayed though that I was required to bring my own toilet paper and trash bags. They provide one roll to get you started but that's it. Would expect more for the price in that regard but we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time! The beachfront condo was AMAZING and just what we needed. There were a few cons though that will prevent us from staying there again for a few years. There was no deadbolt on the door and with a toddler who LOVES the water, it was very hard to stop him every minute we were in the condo from opening the door.

This was our second year to stay at El Constante. Having learned the layout of the property last summer, we were able to stay in a condo that directly faced the ocean! The room was clean and well-stocked. The pool area is great! The staff is super friendly and helpful. And the beach is SO CLOSE! Just walk down a few steps and--BAM! You're on the beach! I highly recommend El Constante.

I look forward to this vacation every year, and being able to stay at El Constante is the icing on the cake. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The room i stayed in is perfect. The room was very clean and well-maintained. I would recommend El Constante to anyone looking for a place to stay next to the beach.

The room was very clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. The furniture was nice updated. We will definitely come back.The only thing I would request is a Keruig coffee machine for the K-cups.

We had an amazing time at this condo. The condo itself was immaculate and beautifully decoracted. The view is unbeatable! We will definitely stay here again!

Location and Unit and staff were just AWESOME. Mother Nature was not very nice the short time we were there, but I will definitely return !!!
