The condo was clean and tidy. It’s in a great location. The facility has good parking. There were clear instructions for almost everything. If you like coffee in the morning, bring Kuerig Pods or your own beans and coffee filters. The excessive texting and emailing about check out processes was irritating after the third, fourth and finally fifth time.

This was our second trip in a month and stayed both time at El Constante. The proximity to the beach can’t be beat. The texts come right on time with the door codes. The units were clean and both had everything you could need as far as dishes, towels, etc. would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

We loved our stay. We had 2 small dogs and the property provides bags and made it easy with the dogs as we stayed on the first floor The parking was at our door. Every little thing was provided in the kitchen Cooking was a breeze
The only criticism was the king bed needed a mattress pad. It was hard and we felt like we were sleeping on a park bench.
We loved this property and all the amenities. We even rebooked for the future.

This rental was just what we needed for quiet restful end to the summer. The rental process was easy and the unit was exactly how it was described. This was our first time to the beach so driving on the beach was new to us. We drove into the Park ($10) for the day got the quiet and uncrowded beach we were looking for. We will definitely be back.

Honestly, the condo updated and filled with great amenities as described in the listing. I treated myself to this short getaway for my 70th birthday. I overall loved my trip to the coast! The CONS: The only major drawback -- the first floor condos like mine appear to be the one-bedroom, and the next two floors above are the two-bedroom condos, intended for more people. I am grateful I brought my good earplugs, as there is no sound barrier between the floor above and my ceiling below. The first night there was definitely an energetic toddler running back and forth, the second night there was a larger family, with older kids that stayed up until 3am or so, going back and forth from the living room to the kitchen -- the front door and kitchen is right above the bedroom in 112. I don't fault them their fun vacation, late nights, etc. It was just something I did not factor in, and as an older person, I do settle in to bed early and usually get up early as well. As I say, the earplugs helped, but not perfectly! There is also an HVAC unit right outside the bedroom wall that kicks in with a big bang. Also not very relaxing!

We needed a few days away and went to our normal places for a rental and then found Padre Escape website. The price was very reasonable. It was clean, comfortable, a great shower and steps from the beach. We would highly recommend and will be visiting in the future.

Overall, we had a great time! We loved that we could bring our dog, the condo was set up well and very clean,and it was really close to the beach. The staff was also super responsive and accommodating! My only complaint is that there is very strong smell in the bedroom. I think it may be the air conditioner. It smells maybe like mold or cigarette smoke from many years ago. Also, the beach is great, but the tar is bad! El Constante provided 2 individually packaged sheets, but we definitely needed more. We definitely plan on coming back!!

Overall it was a good stay. All the necessities are included. Place is neat and appliances are in good working condition. Easy check in and check out. Simplified instructions. The sofa bed frame just needs to be changed, it creaks every time you move, because of the dip, it’s hard to get out of bed. Recliner needs to be reupholstered. Our unit was close to the beach, easy access. Insulation is good, once you close the door, you don’t hear the noise outside or the pool area at the back. We plan to go back next year, hopefully.

The location is very convenient- walking distance to the beach. Although this rental is old, smelled old, it was clean. Bring your own towels. The one they provide has seen its days. Another small drawback is the noise from the neighbors above us, especially after 11pm when we were trying to get some sleep. We liked that the shower is newly remodeled.

Otherwise our stay was satisfactory since we were out on the beach all day. This location will be on our list to rent again on our next visit.

I love El Constante and its location on the beach. Just a couple of minor gripes: there was no shampoo in the bathroom (was I supposed to bring my own?), an empty plastic cup was on the floor partially under the bed, and the pool was overly-chlorinated. Would still return.

This condo is in a great location just steps from the beach. It's on the first floor & we were able to park just outside the door for easy loading & unloading. The condo was clean & furnished with everything we needed.The only thing I might add is a vacuum cleaner. Everything in the condo was in perfect working order. I highly recommend Padre Escapes as well. They are very responsive to any questions or concerns. I have booked with them numerous times in Corpus Christi & will continue to do so.

We enjoyed our stay, however, you should not advertise this one as sleeping 4 unless 2 are very small children. The sleeper sofa was horrible. I rented #111, #112, #113 and cannot recommend #112 to friends unless a new sofa sleeper is put in there. Other than no sleep, we loved our stay here.

My husband and I (middle aged) stayed 4 nights. Weather wasn’t great but we still had a nice time. Place was right on the beach but cannot see the beach from the condo. The view from window is the dunes. I liked that we can be on the beach and be able to walk back to room to use our bathroom. The condo was very small but clean and comfortable. Only a small issue with an Alexa coming on a couple of times a day to remind a”Linda” to dry hair, do yoga, cook, etc. it was funny but it was very loud and didn’t listen to our command to stop and we did not know how to unplug it. We would definitely stay there again but maybe stay where you can view the beach. Rates will be higher of course though.

Unit 112 at El Constante was comfortable and had all the amenities one would hope for in a small apartment with a kitchen. We wish theybwould have provided more bath towels for our 10 day stay. 2 or 3 was insufficient since we flew into Corpus and couldn't possibly bring those with us. So we ended up buying new washcloths and towels and leaving them behind. We liked that the unit is on the first floor and has a 2 chair sitting space next to the front door. We enjoyed sitting outside in the morning and evening with coffee or wine and enjoying the sunrise and moonrise. The property is well-maintained and the pool area is nice. We thought our grandkids would enjoy the pool but we never used it because of scheduling. I would stay there again.

Perfect Location, Easy check-in/check out process.
Room was great, had everything we needed for a quick beach getaway; was clean and exactly what we expected. Only small complaint was about the sofa bed. It squeaks a lot when opened up, so every time my son moved at night, it woke him up and everyone else;) My son ended up just sleeping on it as a couch the second night and that was fine.

Room was clean but smelt like fish, stronger smell coming from
Fridge. Dishes in cabinet and drawers were dirty. Pool looked like it had not been cleaned in a few weeks. There didn’t seem to be much insulation since we could hear everything the upstairs neighbors were doing and the party going on outside the bedroom window. Only got a few hours of sleep so we ended up leaving a day early to stay at another hotel.

As El Constante tend to be an incredibly popular destination, our groundskeeper cleans the pool each and every morning, to ensure all chemicals are balanced and it remains clear and clean. In the future, please remember to call our office if you experience unwanted noise or need an issue addressed! We are more than happy to send our security team out if there are after-hours disturbances or our housekeepers back to a unit if there is an extra area you would like addressed!

Overall, our experience was pleasant. Unit was as described and convenient to the beach. On the first night there we had little to no hot water. Made office aware of the issue and maintenance showed up in about 30 min and fixed the problem.

We’ve stayed numerous times in this condo during the summer. This was the first time during winter. We will look at other options before we do it again. I was happy to see that this condo finally got some new utensils. But I was so very disappointed that I ran out of hot bath water. A long soaking bath is my favorite and it couldn’t happen. Also the hot tub was broken.

We were unable to stay and cancelled our reservation when we both came down with pneumonia. We purchased the insurance and as of yet, we have been unable to get our refund from the insurance company used. This process is so confusing and I really am not sure how to complete it.

We love the location and swimming pool!! My family goes to the beach every year and have stayed at many different places over the years but have been staying here the last several years. The only draw back is I believe there should be a better discount for returning customers.

Great stay even though the room wasn’t clean. We cleaned with Lysol, Clorox wipes and microban. I would say to bring dishes if you plan on cooking, some were dirty and very old.
The towel rack had tissues to hold it. Dog hair on the floor and window seal.
Will contact management. Will stay again, and hopefully things will be cleaner.

We have been coming to El Constante for over 20 plus years. We were disappointed in #112. The pull out couch mattress is nothing but springs. The bathroom had hair on the floor and needs a deep clean around the toilet and next to the bath tub. The bathroom towel rack had a paper towel stuck between the wall and the rack. The oven stove top drip pans were dusty and greasy. The unit needs a deep clean. And this is not a beach view property anymore; the size of the dunes have grown too tall to see over them.

Nice place. Pet friendly. Understand that the property is not a 5 star hotel and you will be pleasantly surprised that it is neat and clean. Guests were low key and no abnormal behavior, loud parties, noise. etc. We were in 112 with parking right outside the door. Everything in the unit worked correctly.

Such a cute cozy place. Went during the weekdays. Not too many people. Easy walk to the beach and the pool was great. Staff was very friendly. Easy check in and each check out. Definitely recommend. Negatives...The sofabed really needs a new mattress. Super uncomfortable but luckily brought an air mattress. Room smelled a little of cigarette smoke, I suggest cleaning crew not smoke inside the rooms. Luckily I brought air freshener. Other than that, thank you for a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The checkin process was very easy and the office staff were very cordial. We really like the property location with such easy access to the beach. The location of this place was great -- steps to the beach and close to restaurants in town. The thing that really affected our stay was our room was dirty. The main bedroom seemed fairly clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable. But the sofa bed in the living room was terrible -- completely uncomfortable with springs sticking through. We took my mom there for her birthday so she had the main room and my boyfriend and I took the couch. There were no sheets provided for the pullout, and the pillows available had blood stains on them. The extra blankets provided had crusty brown dried substances on them. When I called the front desk to ask for sheets and blankets that were clean they were able to give us some. However, the way it was handled was fairly unprofessional. I was asked to come to the front office and the sheets were basically shoved through a narrow door opening at me while the attendant closed the door on my foot. I expected there to be some documentation that the room was dirty or to have someone follow up with us on our experience, but that never happened. We spent a full night with dirty materials because the office closed right after we arrived.

This place is pretty nice and room 112 did have a small view of the ocean! The sunrises were beautiful! The only thing was the pull out sofa cover was uncomfortable, but tolerable for a few nights.

The condo itself is very comfortable. However, noise from the unit above is very loud. It sounds as if people are stomping around and running up and down the stairs.

Padre Escapes staff

I grew up staying at El Constante as a kid, and now will continue the tradition with my own children. The location is amazing, you can't beat it for the price. Pool is great, property is clean, and staff is helpful and friendly. I had one minor issue when we first checked in with the tv, and the issue was resolved immediately by the nice girl at the front desk. Looking forward to MANY future stays at El Constante with my family!

We loved staying at El Constante. It is a great location right on the beach. Unit 112 was clean and ready for our arrival. We particularly liked the keyless entry. This helped to avoid the problem of a key when at the beach. We will stay again.

Great experience! Nice to be right on the beach and just walk to the shore. The condo was comfortable and well stocked. The employees were all friendly and super helpful. I felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

We are from Hawaii, and have been living in Austin for the past 3 years and this was our first visit to the Texas coast. Certainly not Hawaii (Ha!) but we chose the perfect place to stay! The weather was great and we enjoyed the whole experience. Mahalo!

Our condo was cute and comfortable and we loved the location. However, we did see a few roaches, the smoke alarm went off when we tried to cook on the stovetop and there was a super stomper overhead.

We were very impressed with our condo and amenities. The location was great, it was very clean and the pool was great! The maintenance man was super friendly and really nice (we didn't have a problem, just saw him in passing at the pool). The front desk clerks could have been more friendly, but they were ok.

El Constante is our favorite place to stay! The location is amazing. The condos are well kept. We are excited to see the completed construction. The new look Is fantastic and is totally changing the look of the complex. This was our 4th stay at EC and we will definitely be back!!!
