Back to El Constante

It was good overall. The main TV did not work. The owners would not replace it so we had a loaner sitting on two chairs all week. The remote in the bedroom never worked. The garbage disposal was repaired quickly. The repair guys were fast and friendly. Towels were dingy and poor quality. Unit is good but needs some updates/TLS. Location is 5 star. Pool is very nice too.

Fall Getaway

We found unit 114 just like the pictures showed. The unit was clean, comfortable and mere steps to the sand. We had one minor issue shortly after checking in and it was resolved in less than 30 minutes. We enjoyed our stay and are making plans to return next year!

Great stay! Ocean view! Be prepared for a few surprises...

I spent an hour reading through reviews and looking for the best unit. A friend recommended we stay at this location and said she really enjoyed it. We stayed for 3 nights with our daughter and had a lovely, relaxing time. Because I read the reviews in detail I already knew about the crack in the bathroom floor and the couch not being the most comfortable. But it really wasn’t that bad at all. The couch was fine. The pullout was good for our kid. The bed in the master was solid and we slept like babies. The pullout took some time to pull out every night but it wasn’t bad.

The beach is right around the corner. We could see it from our porch where we sat and had lunch from. Great unit! The porch is not private so if you have neighbors who smoke and you don’t, it may be awkward.

Things were clean although we did run into a Texas coach roach in the living room on the last day. I was waiting for this since we do live in the south.

The beach was lovely. We went off season, at the end of Sept so it was quiet. Main restaurants are open but check the hours for other restaurants that may have specific hours.

I got the classic tar stains on my skin (feet) from these tar balls I read about but no one talks about. But I was the only one. Wear dark colored water shoes!

As for food, we’re vegan so it was an adventure! We brought some pré-made food but we did visit a local spot a couple of times that saved us (Ginger Cafe). Also, Brewster’s has some vegan options (avocado tacos were delicious).

We would definitely stay here again!

We arrive in monday good evening, first thing we saw the bed was broke. We had to sleep with our mattress on the floor the first night we pulled the sheet back and there was black hairs on our pillows. There were extra pillows in the closet, but no pillowcases. Our fire alarm francisco went off until we called maintenance to come fix. The floor in the bathroom was all cracked. That didn't affect anything, but it didn't look very nice, the TV box was sitting on top of the t. V. But as far as it was, my husband hit his head on it twice . I went to the office to let them know. They were just like, oh, thank you for telling us not anything like what can we do to make things better? Felt like I paid more than I needed to for what I went through.

Girls beach trip 2025

The unit was nicely decorated. The bed had a bad mattress, it made you roll to the middle. Tile was cracked on the bathroom floor. The shower has some issues with the shower knobs slipped and leaking water.

Cute & Cozy

Room has a great location, little on the small side. They need to provide more towels, especially in the kitchen and potholders and also replace their cooking utensils, that need to go in the trash! So, FYI bring your own towels and paper products. The pool is not very impressive; it was rather dirty and felt closed in. But we went for the beach not the pool.

What an amazing stay!

Check-in and check out was easy. The place was spacious and super clean. There was everything we needed in order to make the stay feel like a true vacation for me and my family. Great weekend getaway

This is the perfect condo for a couple. Fully stocked kitchen. Comfy couch that teen slept on one night. Only negative is bed frame in bedroom. I hit my shin on that thing everytime I went in there. Maybe consider a different frame or renters be conscience that the frame sticks out farther than mattress.

Nice stay

Condo was nice and clean. Nice beach access. Sofa needs replacing. It was very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs when you sat on it. It was also very stained.

Been going here for years

Overall Okay

Location and cleanliness were great! I loved walking only a few feet to get down to the beach. The place was overall very clean. There are only a few things that were a bit cumbersome including the hot water only lasting a few minutes before turning ice cold. Also, the pictures online were mostly accurate, I did notice quite a few blemishes in and around the condo that were not pictured online.

Anniversary getaway

Retreat with friends

Stayed in 2 bedroom 1 bath condo, nicely furnished and clean. Kitchen had all amenities. On ground floor and close to lovely heated pool, in a safe location. Could of used more toilet paper , coffee filters, and some larger towel . All in all it was a great experience, beach access was a cross the street, cars are allowed on tgr Beach in certain areas, will return.

We had a great stay. The shower head needs to be replaced. Shoots water out and gets everything wet. Sink drain needs a cover. That’s about all I have to “complain “ about. Everything else was nice.

114 for the Win

Check in and check out procedures were easy to follow. It was nice to be able to enter the condo directly and have remote check in. The condo was very clean and true to pictures on website. The location was awesome, quick walk to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked (utensils, cookware, dishes) and appliances were very clean. Looking forward to renting this unit again.

Great Little Gem Right on North Padre Island Beach

Great little gem right on North Padre Island Beach! We loved our stay at this condo--it was just like the pictures and a few steps away to the sand on North Padre Island beach! Very clean, comfortable bed, hot shower, well-appointed kitchen and cold A/C. We will definitely stay here again. Parking was great, right outside our door. Other guests were very friendly. We saw security patrol the property to make sure all was in order. Swimming pool was lovely and refreshing. I've stayed at places that said they were "on the beach" before, but we had to walk 2 blocks on the hot pavement to get there--not this place! Take a few steps out the door and you are there. Great if someone in your party wants to take a nap or freshen up while you're out enjoying the beach. We got up before sunrise each morning, drank coffee on the porch and listened to the waves. Went walking on the beach looking for shells as the sun came up. Very short drive to stores/restaurants, horseback riding, and the Padre Island National Seashore (the longest remaining undeveloped stretch of barrier island in the world.) Book this place now! We're hoping to come back soon and this unit will be our first choice. Padre Escapes is a reputable company and the payment/check-in/check-out process was seamless. We stayed at another of their properties years ago and I'm so glad I remembered their name to search their properties again.

Relaxing no stress vacation

Property was as described. Great location. The bed was very comfortable. We had a minor issue with hot water in the bathroom sink but it was fixed quickly. Office personnel were very polite. Will stay here again.

Good but could be better

The location is wonderful and the complex is very nice. Parking was easy and you can see the beach from the front porch. The decor was also very cute, but we found the bathroom to be a little rough. The shower head is coming out of the wall, there are no drain stoppers in the shower or bathroom (which we found kind of gross), and the shower in general is very dated/well used. Overall, we were very happy with the location, but would try a different unit on our next stay.

Whitecap Beach Condo

Great location on the beach on Padres Island. Ground floor location, a couple of steps from car to door, 200 yards walk to waterfront. Spent all my time fishing it swimming in the surf, did not use the pool. Well appointed comfortably furnished. Easy check in and check out. WiFi and TV with cable worked great. Have mosquito repellent handy the unit is close to the dunes.

Great Family Vacation

Love staying at El Constante! This was about my 20th stay, starting in the ‘80’s. A very nice upgrade of the location has taken place over the years. Everything in our condo was nice except for very slow running water in the bathroom sink. We were on the beach most of the time and it was lovely. Enjoyed it all❣️Recommend Doc’s for dinner, and of course Whataburger!!!

Had a great time in 114

We enjoyed our stay so much. The condo was very clean and just like the pictures. Padre Escapes made check in and check out very easy. Plenty of plates and cookware. We loved being able to walk right out to the beach and the condo pool was nice, too. Driving along the Padre Island National Seashore was fun and Island Joe's has delicious coffee and cucumber toast. Black Sheep had good pasta. Thank you, Padre Escapes. We will not hesitate to book with you in the future and would recommend you to anyone visiting the area.

Wonderful Rental!

Beautiful Upgraded Unit

We loved this unit! Very clean. Nice furniture and nicely decorated. Bring your own coffee. There was a coffee machine but no coffee was given to start with until we could go to the store. Other than that, it was perfect!

Our vacation rental experience was overall very enjoyable. We had some construction going on in the condo upstairs and over one unit. They started working at 6:30 in the morning a couple of times which is unacceptable. That is the only issue that we had.

Fantastic Property

Great location right next to the beach. We had everything we needed and could walk to the shore or easily access other sites on Padre Island or in Corpus Christi. We would love to stay again. Check in/out process was extremely easy as well.

Great Place to Stay

This was our fifth trip back to El Constante and booking with Padre Escapes. I have never been disappointed with a visit. The staff is always friendly and the condos are in a great location. Relaxing and perfect

We arrived after the office was closed and they left everything in our room! Padre escapes called us and texted us information to get in the room which made it super easy. Great beachside getaway!

The unit really lived up to our expectations. It was super clean and the furnishings were not only cute but comfortable.

The office staff were helpful. We were able to exchange used towels for clean ones and get some extras.

A huge plus for us was being able to walk to the beach. My husband had a blast fishing in the surf while I walked the beach. The outdoors "foot shower" was much appreciated for allowing us to rinse the sand from our feet before going back indoors.

We were able to sit on the seawall and watch the sun rise. Awesome! We will be back!

Awesome Place w/ a Great View!!

I’ll keep it short and sweet. The location is perfect as soon as you walk out of your condo, you’re literally on the beach! The staff was excellent! The condo was spotless and had all the basic items you need. Only issue we had was caused by nature/natural disaster - the building was struck by lightning the night before and knocked the bedroom cable out (they had the cable come out within 48hrs of the incident). They exceeded all expectations!

Very Relaxing Getaway

Great location just a short walk to the beach and there is a beach access right by the condos if you want to drive on the beach or fish at the jetty. Condo was clean and ready early so they notified us immediately so we didn't have to wait. We had a great time and the other guest were friendly and well behaved. Security did their arounds at night which was comforting. Parking was full at night with the extra 4 wheelers but seemed to work. Padre Island needs more activities/places to have fun at but we are looking forward to coming back again soon. The condo did need a few minor maintenance items fixed but didn't interfere with our stay. Thanks for a good relaxing vacation!:��

Adequate condo

Have stayed in several different units at this property over the years. This was the first time to be in this unit. Everything was acceptable. The queen size bed seemed smaller than what we thought a queen size is but we normally sleep in a king size at home so who knows. Also, the tv system is kind of antiquated but it worked fine once we figured it out. Great location. The beaches here are our favorite in TX especially PINS. The pool was very crowded which kept us from using it.

Great pet friendly rental on the beach!

Loved the rental and location. Right by the beach and also right beside the access road to the beach if you want to use a golf cart or what not to carry supplies to the beach. But really no need because you walk right onto the beach from the rental. Very cute job on the remodel - makes it fresh and up to date. Very helpful property management that has extra towels and beach towels available at the main office by the pool. Yes, would recommend.

Home away from home

We enjoyed our stay at this clean and comfortable condo. The unit overlooks the sand dunes and is a short distance from the beach. Our dog loved the grassy area in the front of the complex. We were in town apartment hunting for our daughter and plan to return when we come back to visit her!

A/C Issue

Due to Covid 19 we had a lot of hesitation in booking the trip. We finally decided to go but just for a short duration. The first day/ night was enjoyable and the condo had been cleaned but just to be safe I went over everything and found the surfaces in some areas were not as clean. We found clipped toe nails in the small dining area which were not ours. We swept and got over it. The last night was a disappointment. The A/C unit stopped working and the condo heated up fast. We thought about calling maintenance but then we would wake up the kids and we would have to stay awake till someone could fix it so we waited till the morning to inform management and they did not apologize or offer a discount. Instead they just said they would look into it. We left that morning disappointed with the management.

We apologize for the issues you had we will be sure to address those with housekeeping. Maintenance did go out to check the AC the day you reported it and found the thermostat was set at 65 and caused it to freeze up and therefore stop working.

This was the first time I have ever been to the beach (I'm 28), and this was an amazing experience! The room was very clean and cozy, felt like home. I love that we had a kitchen so we could cook, and not to mention just walking distance to the beach. I have a few friends that I told about, and they are booking here as well. 3 day getaway

Got down there early on day 1 couldn't check in it wasn't ready at 100pm still waiting on final inspection. Finally got in at 500.The rug in living room was wet/damp. pillow on couch full of black hair. Bed very uncomfortable. swimming pool needed attention with all the use and no shade by pool

Nice rental for Mother’s Day weekend.

The staff here does a great job. They kept the pool nice and warm so the kiddos had a great time despite the unusually cold weather that weekend. The only advice I have is that the owners need to invest in a new bed and pillows (or bring your own pillows if you rent this unit).

Easter weekend

We had a great stay the condo is beautiful. Christy & Savannah are awesome. The only thing I could say I see with most rooms we looked at for next winter didn't have recliners hint, hint. Couldnt ask for a better location with such friendly people and awesome pool with jacuzzi, right on the water.
