Dog Friendly Property: Maximum of Two Dogs/Weight Restriction of 25lbs or Less
Dog breeds not permitted at El Constante due to HOA guidelines: Pit Bull-type, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow, Wolf-dog hybrid, or Husky-type (including Siberian)
Pet Fees: For stays of 1–29 days, the pet fee is $100 per pet plus a $50 cleaning fee, and for stays of 30+ days, the pet fee is $300 per pet plus a $100 cleaning fee
For long-term stays, mail may be forwarded to the property address and retrieved from the front office during the guest’s stay

El Constante yes unit 118 NO
El Constante exceeded expectations. Unit 118 needs new mattresses,bed and couch. If you look at old reviews you will see complaints in 2020. I thought they would have been replaced by now. I guess the owner does not care about the customer. What a shame because the rating would be a 5 instead of a 2. Buy a new mattress.

Home away from Home!
This condo is our favorite. This time it seems that the dishes were put away dirty (in particular the large frying pan) and the kitchen counters were not cleaned well, they were sticky.

Great Beach Vacation
The condo was exactly as listed, clean and comfy! We are a family of 4 and it was perfectly roomy for all of us to have enough space, all of our suitcases fit great in the bedroom closet so they didn’t have to take up living space. We were able to walk on the beach in the morning and evening directly from the condo, so the location was perfect! We couldn’t ask for anything better! Thank you for having us and we can’t wait to stay here again.

Clean, comfortable & great location
Very nice condo with comfortable furniture and bed and fantastic location to beach and restaurants.
The only issue was noisy neighbors upstairs, but that is no fault of the condo.

Family Reunion
We had a good stay at this complex. We’re able to get units side by side for the family. Good location and beach access. The pool was nice and a good addition to the beach days. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the A/C thermostat was old style and didn’t work properly. While the compressor would cycle on and off for a desired temp, the fan never shut off. All that did was pump very humid air into the unit. Also, you probably can’t ever say a vacation rental is spotless. Certainly adequate.

Stay at El Constante
The rental location was amazing. The unit was very clean. There was no hot water in the unit and hopefully it has been fixed. In addition, the ac was very finicky. It would be very hot one minute, freezing the next without changing the settings.

Original El Constante wonderful
1. The room itself had TWIN beds in the bedroom. We have used many rooms at this complex and Never saw that bedding problem. This unit Should be flagged on the automated system as Twin Beds.
2. When calling the contact number about changing rooms we met with NO. I asked for a supervisor who was not available that day or Sat. So they told us She would call us Sunday morning.. I'm still Waiting for that call.
3. This room was checked off as to everything was ready and working. Correct? So it did come as a shock after 450 mile trip in the Texas heat....Guess what. No HOT water. Equals a shower "so to speak".
It was repaired the next day before noon but frankly after a miserable night in a child's twin bed neither of us were anything near to Happy. #1
Our visit was the Worst we ever had in the 20+ years we always used this complex. #1
3. When the owners stopped using their Own staff to run this facility they made a Huge mistake because this current operation is bar none in the lower 48 The Worst management we have ever encountered.

Nice room
Such a convenient room. Very close to the beach. This room has two twin beds in the bedroom with a pull out trundle bed. A pull out couch in the living room. However the pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable. The plan was put the kids in the bedroom twins while my husband and I shared the pull out, but it was so bad on our back that we had to put several blankets down and put the kids to share the couch while we each used a twin bed.

Thank you for your review! Our close proximity to the beach is one of our best features. I'm sorry to hear the sleeper sofa was uncomfortable, we will look into this issue and see what may need to be addressed for the comfort of the room in the future.

Great Stay

Weekday stay
Location was great! Amenities were good, pool was clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Only problem was the mattresses were worn out, very uncomfortable.

Absolutely awesome. Clean room, all the needed appliances, and bonus, around the corner was Whitecaps Beach. I would highly recommend this place and cannot wait to schedule my next trip!

For the price,Why are most beds ?Queen? Prime season or off season. What are the bulk of your customers "Smurfs". WE are on a vacation!!

Beach condo getaway
Overall the condo was clean, and sufficient, except for the bed.
The bed was not good; the mattress sags in the middle. My back ached every morning from sleeping in it. I told the office about sagging mattress.

Just OK.
The front office people were very nice and helpful. However, the unit was low on basics. No shampoo or conditioner, no salt and pepper, or coffee. Those things are usually standard. The pull out couch is not great for sleeping.
Close to the beach though, so that was nice.

30 Days of Bliss
Stayed for a month with my two little chihuahuas. It was so relaxing and nice to be so close to the beach. The on-site staff are fabulous and they take care of you. This condo was comfortable and had all the basic needs. I hope to return for another month in the Spring.

I rented room 117 and 118...
None of the 4 television worked...I called multiple times and none gave a satisfactory answer. There is no way we could be on the sun from 12 until 5 and there was nothing to do.
I am still waiting for a refund or a free night to compensate for all of this. I PAY 1600 DLLS!! and no television as if it was a cheap motel???

Covid visit
We enjoyed our stay. We have been visiting El Constante for about 25 years. We always enjoy it. Office staff is cordial. It seems silly that w3 check out at the office, and then also have to click a link, when we just checked out! Also, $10 if you don’t turn in the bracelets? Seems excessive.
It was clean, but the sink was full of water when we got there. Seemed odd.

Beach Birthday Bash
We had 14 family members celebrating our oldest one's birthday. We rented two 2-bedroom units and one 1-bedroom units. The weekend was perfect. The accomodations were very nice.

Great stay
Great location and a great stay. Will plan to come back. The only negative thing I can say is the mattress in the bedroom needs to be replaced immediately. It has a topper which is nice but the problem is that the mattress is worn in the middle and makes it very uncomfortable and you feel like you are always rolling into the center.

We stayed from Monday to Saturday. The staff is very accommodating. Right on tbe beach. We rented a cart and toured the beach and city. The primary bed is outdated. Sleep on the couch bed as the primary bed.

El Constante 118 10/11-10/14/20
First we weren't contacted with the information to get into the condo until we were 15 minutes from our arrival time. Seems there was a text that was supposed to be sent that wasn't. This made for a stressful drive to the condo. Construction was happening on a whole section of condos next to us which wasn't disclosed when we booked it. This meant our walking path to the beach and pool was blocked and of course the noise of construction going on all day long and parking issues due to the workers being there. Also the refrigerator didn't work properly, fridge was freezing things and the freezer was defrosting and refreezing frequently.

CONSTRUCTION IS FACTORED INTO THE CURRENT PRICING; NO ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS WILL BE APPLIED." There was a guest who checked out of the property the morning you checked in. To prevent any issues we do not send out the door code until the property has been cleaned, inspected and is ready for your arrival. We apologize for these inconveniences but we hope you were able to enjoy your stay.

Wonderfully Homey

Perfect Location on the Beach
We loved our stay at El Constante 118. The beachfront location is amazing! Felt very safe at the condo complex when walking my dogs during the day or evening. The part of the beach that is in front of the condo is beautiful. My family loved that there is a jetty close by to fish off on. Very nice complex and the condo itself was very clean and had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the pool too. The only thing I would suggest is to fix the bathroom sink as it would not drain very well at all. Also the bathroom fan did not work and the sleeper sofa mattress was very uncomfortable. Other than those 3 things, we really enjoyed our stay in #118 and would stay here again. Thank you Padre Escapes!!

Very nice and a convenient location!

Overall the experience was very good.
Pros: Right on the Beach! Able to pull right up to door for loading / unloading. Nice pool/hot tub.
Cons: The bathroom exhaust fan desperately needs replacing, it sounds like it is about to explode.
We had some inconvenience due to repairs to the unit above us. One day there was a lot of drywall debris and nails that did not get cleaned up by the repair crew. After a call, the El Constante staff cleaned it up quickly. Two other days we had water dripping down on our door from the balcony above.

Wonderful Stay
We were in #118 at el Constante and it was great. First of all the staff at Padre Escapes were great. We rescheduled our trip due to hurricane Harvey. They were fabulous every step of the way. Upon checking in the girl at the front desk was very friendly and informative. Our condo was not affected by the hurricane so all was good within the unit. Cold air conditioning was a necessity for my husband and it was on point. Bath towels are supplied however we brought our own and I recommend doing that. Everything in the unit was clean and tidy. We will definitely come again.

See Ya'll Next Year
Words can't describe how wonderful it was to stay here. My wife and 17 year old daughter also enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend Condo 118. We checked in Saturday, August 12th and self checked out Thursday, August 17th. We loved everything about 118! We of course slept in the room on the KingSizeBed & our teenager slept on the pullout couch. AC was wonderfully cold! Pool was was really nice and refreshing after a day on the beach. Bummed that the TV's weren't smart TV's but enjoyed Spectrum Cable on both TV's. Wifi wasn't very strong so we just didn't use it. Plenty of pots, pans, untensils, bowls, plates and plasticware. Overall nicely stocked.
