Nice view and strong internet

The view was nice from the balconies - especially the main bedroom. The internet was strong and fast which was useful since this was a working vacation. The main bedroom bed was so high they provide a stool in the closet. I am 5'5 and I needed the stool to get in the bed. But since I get up during the night I was afraid I would not be able to step on the stool in the dark so I slept in the other bedroom which had a comfortable bed. But I would have preferred to sleep in the main bedroom with my husband. Checkout time is 11am. On the last day my husband was loading luggage in the car around 10:30. The code had already been changed and he could not get in. Luckily I was still in the condo so I could let him in. In addition the cleaners showed up around 10:15. It made the last day annoying. Would help to have TV directions. Never figured what one remote was for in the secondary room.

Birthday getaway

It was a great experience. Easy check in. Parking permits and instruction were on kitchen counter. Very clean condo. Well supplied with start up necessities. Kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans and utensils. Nice side view of beach and gulf. Only con was the sofa and curtains were quite worn but would still book again.

Great condo!

Great condo! Updated bathrooms and kitchen stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. We stay in this same unit every year and love it! Only complaint this year is the couch has really gotten old and stained, but overall we would definitely stay again!

My 59th B Day Stay in #212

I've been coming to El constante since I was 18 years old and was recently back to celebrate my 59th birthday. The location will always be the very best that North Padre has to offer because of how surreal the serenity and these are. The issue is the lack of focus on ensuring that what we see and are told to expect and the way of upkeep of the units we rent will be done to the best of your staff's ability. So sadly, because no one seemed to be directly responsible for checking for the simplest of things; are there hangers and extra roll of paper towels, is the furnishings including pillows lamp shades, are they clean, is the furniture in great condition, or at the very least are we ensuring that I guess know what deficiencies they will be settling for so that they can decide if it is worth the cost... Understandably, there's a firm protocol in place about not altering the pricing, but bait and switch is simply bad business. So if I have been made to believe that I will have two comfortable bedrooms and I clean comfortable living in kitchen area and bathrooms that is exactly what should happen. However in this unit, as I've already shared with staff, there is no sign near the balcony to warn you of the trip hazard, there was no hangers, there lamps throughout that were old and who the two in the living room actually had very nasty water stained shades. The throw pillows on the couch and that extremely old chair wore extremely stain giving that area and overall unclean feeling. But then there was the master bed. Beautiful in the picture, but nearly unusable because it's almost a foot to tall to get into, and no stairs or anything were available to help with that problem. So it kind of changes it from having two usable beds to only having one however the price stays the same. Not okay. It goes without saying that people make these efforts to come to these beautiful locations to have a once-of-a-lifetime memory created and there is no do over.

Spacious, great view, quiet

Excellent location with great support from the Padre Escapes staff. I rented this for my son and his family who loved it. Wonderful kid friendly pool, beach directly out front and a paved nearly one mile walkway along the beach for those who don’t like the sand. We will be coming again soon.

Would definitely visit again!

Check-in and check-out was very easy! You can do it all on your phone. The location is right on the beach, which is so convenient!! And it is right down the road from restaurants and souvenir shops. The condo was clean and accommodating. The kids really enjoyed the pool also. All in all it was a great time and experience!

Sister beach trip

The owners have done a great job remodeling the condo. Looks like the master bath still needs work. The sleeper sofa had a coil mattress that was very uncomfortable, needs to be replaced. Overall, the place was in a great location and the condo was very nice.

Perfect stay!

Absolutely loved it. Partial view of the beach, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, right on the beach, pool well maintained, internet very functional, great cable. Better than we expected. Saw maintenance around all weekend, making sure the facility was clean. Only drawn back was no washer and dryer. FYI - coffeemaker was regular style and bring liquid hand soap if you want it. Came with bar hand soap, trash bags, toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, dish soap, sponge. We were very happy with our stay.

Perfect, clean location

My family of 6 adults enjoyed our stay and were all comfortable. Everything was clean and the location is perfect - right at the beach. I only wished that the curtains were more light blocking, especially because the parking lot light was right outside of our balcony, and that a few more things were left in the kitchen - some dish soap, for one. It was just too far too bright. I also think the showers need some extra maintenance but it's definitely an older building. The hot tub and pool were well maintained and nice to hang out in. There is plenty of parking just know that if you're on the 2nd level, you will need to climb stairs with your belongings. Overall, this place is a great location on the beach and near plenty of places to eat. The staff I interacted with was also extremely helpful and pleasant. We'd definitely stay again for the price.

Nostalgia

I've been coming to Padre Island and staying at El Constante since I was a little girl! It's the perfect location and have loved seeing all the renovations over the years. Unit 212 was perfect for our stay. It was super clean and what a great kitchen! Loved the decor as well! The only suggestion I would make is to upgrade the shower fixtures. Thanks El Constante and Padre Escapes for a wonderful time for our large group (we rented 4 units this trip)!!!

This condo is wonderful. It is decorated very cute and comfortable. Had all the comforts of home and is in a great location. The pool was heated and the pool and area around were kept very clean. Has easy access to the beach and the beach was also groomed and clean. Highly recommend and we will consider the next time we’re in Corpus .

Newly renovated!

We have been staying in this unit for many years and we were pleasantly surprised that the entire downstairs was completely renovated. Last year the upstairs was redone, but this year they completed the downstairs. Great unit with pool and beach views. The check in process was not smooth this year, we weren’t notified that our room was ready until an hour after it was actually ready. With covid we understood there was extra cleaning to be done, which we appreciated, but we weren’t allowed to check in until 5pm and we were not notified that our room was ready as promised. The office reported that the system was “acting up”. Other than check in, our stay was wonderful with no other complaints. Specific to this unit there is no broom and the can opener is broken, so bring your own if needed.

family getaway

This is our 3rd visit to North Padre and as always we had a great time. The unit has recently been remodeled and was very nice. We love the pool and having easy access to the beach. Thanks for the great stay.

Dirty, roaches, AC took along time to cool

Arrived at the unit to find it dirty, dead and live roaches on the counter and in the living room. Unit smelled musty and AC was set to 80

Great Escape Next to the Beach

This was a great vacation for our family, we were on the beach and next to the pool. Our family enjoyed every moment of this needed vacation. The rental was clean and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Excellent stay in #212!

Greatly enjoyed the unit - comfortable seating with two recliners and a large couch. TVs in every room, 2 1/2 baths worked well for the 4 of us. No seasonings or condiments in kitchen so bring your own. Only recommendation is to remove the headboard in the upstairs poolside bedroom - it's very squeaky, my light sleeping wife woke herself up by turning over. Could be easily rectified by removal of the headboard. Overall we enjoyed greatly and would rent again. Also great service from El Constante as we left behind an Apple TV and they found and immediately shipped to us. Thank you very much!!

2019 Winter Stay-North Padre Island

El Constante Condos are in the perfect location ! On the beach...with restaurants, shopping and local attractions just mlnutes away. Although the weather was not always ideal, with a lot of coastal fog this year, there was always an activity available. The beautiful pool is heated to a very enjoyable temperature, even on the cooler days. And it is always great to be able to walk just steps to the beach, with a paved seawall for walks even during high tide.

Great location!

We've stayed in this unit multiple times over the years and we were pleased with the upgrades made to the bathrooms this year. New paint and sinks/countertops were nice. Kitchen needs updating, but everything worked fine. Only complaints this year was the master bedroom walk in closet smelled like fish...really bad fish. We left the door to the closet closed the entire time and it we couldn't smell it in the room, we just couldn't use the closet. Also, in the same room, the vertical blinds were broken. When we arrived, they were not attached to the track, and multiple blinds fell off when we tried to open it. Other than that, we love the location of El Constante and the maintenance and office staff were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a great vacation!

We didn't notice any bad smells in the closet but we will certainly check again and get it addressed. We are working with the property owners to update those blinds as well. Unit 212 a Disappointment

Unit 212 is very overdue for maintenance. Stove was filthy, drip pans entirely coated in burnt remains. Kitchen counter laminate is literally worn through.Floor is uneven, wavy underfoot with the tile cracked in numerous places. Furniture in bedrooms should be replaced. Owner should pay “guests” to stay in this unit. This unit is a “1”.

Staff was extremely helpful, welcoming, cheerful. The grounds are still recovering from Harvey, but maintained well. We have stayed in several different units, this was the most disappointing. Rating the ElConstante, aside from Unit 212: location 5; 3 day stay during cold weather 4; overall 4. Would recommend staying at the El Constante with annotation not to stay in Unit 212.

Not the best experience

We have been going to El Constante for years and I have to say this has been our worse experience. Upon check in, master toilet wouldn't flush, the refrigerated was all rusted, and throughout the entire stay, the ceiling had a constant leak in the living room so we kept a cup in the middle of the floor to collect the water.
