Enjoyed being close to the beach, property was nice and clean. Did not plan on using the pool but the pool is maintained constantly and was very nice - with the high surf that weekend we were thankful. Minor TLC things but I imagine it’s a constant issue with saltwater/beach - like sticky doors and corroded vents, ect. Bed was surprisingly not bad, I have a nice mattress at home and sometimes I dread vacations due to sleep issues, not here.

This was our 3rd winter at El Constante #217. We will continue to stay here as long as we are able. The bed is comfortable, the space is clean and functional, and the kitchen has everything we need. The pool at El Constante is heated perfectly and the beach is right outside the gate. There is also a 3/4 mile seawall for walking or running. Perfect!

Overall we liked the condo. But the kitchen was not stocked very well with cooking supplies (no mixer, not any large bowls, etc). The pots and pans were in poor shape (rusty and peeling nonstick finishes) and I was only comfortable using two of them. The beds were too soft and lumpy so we ended up moving mattresses to the floor. But we liked how uncluttered the condo was and were grateful we could use a washer/dryer. We would stay there again. The previous units we rented all have some issues and these weren’t that bad. I’ll just bring more cooking items from home.

The upstairs looked like a dog pooped everywhere, brown stuff smeared all over. We couldn’t watch TV because we couldn’t get the sound on, instructions for remotes are needed! This is our third time coming back to Padre Eacapes and every sliding glass doors and very hard to open and close, our kids could not open them.
We asked for a refund because Hurricane Baryl was coming and they wouldn’t give us a refund unless it was a mandatory evacuation. It was such a disappointment that we drove all that way for a 20 hr stay.

As per our rental agreement, we do not give refunds unless a mandatory evacuation is called for; and as such happened, we did shorten your stay and refund the card on file the remaining balance. The spots on the carpet are unfortunately due to tar washing up on the beach and being tracked inside; they are not feces thankfully. We hope you enjoyed the time you spent with us, we hope to have you for a longer stay in the future.

We had a great time but the sliding glass door needs to be repaired or replaced. Needs a strong hard labor cleaning. No hand rail on tub for safety.

Room 217 was great! It's nice being so close to the beach, being able to sit on the balcony and listen to the waves.
The heated pool & car rinse off station were also really nice. My only complaint would be having to pay $30 to get in one hour early since the room was already ready.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at El Constante 217! The complex is RIGHT on the beach, the heated saltwater pool and hottub are great, and we met a lot of new friends. The on-site hosts are very friendly and will help answer any questions you have. The unit itself is very spacious with modern appliances and a washer/dryer. The queen bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The bathrooms (2-1/2) were fairly spacious and the showers were great. The only complaint I would make (a minor one) is that the sleeper sofa in the living room has seen better days. We loved staying here and have booked it again for next winter!

We love the location and swimming pool!! My family goes to the beach every year and have stayed at many different places over the years but have been staying here the last several years. The only draw back is I believe there should be a better discount for returning customers.

Condo is updated which is awesome. Upstairs gets very hot. There was only one fan so I let my kids use it. Everything was great until we were checking out. I got my bag from on top of the fridge with my extra food and there was roaches in it. I had to throw everything away. Other than that it was great. Sleeper sofa needs to be replaced. It was very uncomfortable.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The property was clean and well taken care of. The condo that we stayed in was clean and easily felt like a home. I loved the set up for the bedrooms. I do not have anything negative to say about it. We stayed during a holiday weekend so it was very busy but we didn’t encounter any issues with other guests.

The pictures describe the place very well. Proximity to the beach is perfect. Only a couple downsides. No ramps or elevators to get to the second story entrance to the condo. Carrying a cooler up and down the stairs all weekend was a tail kicker. Second bedroom did not have a ceiling fan and the stand up fan in the closet was broken. Had to go to the dollar general and buy another but we left it so you are welcome. Besides that it was a great place. We would use it again.

This place isn’t big but it works well for two adults and three kids. The price is great and the location to the beach/water is unbeatable! This is our second time staying at El Constante. Both times have been very enjoyable. The staff at Padre Escapes has also been very polite and easy to work with.

This condo is just awesome! Very beautifully decorated! The beds were comfortable (minus the pull-out couch bed, that was not my thing but my daughter thought it was comfy). The condo was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The appliances are all in great working order. No complaints whatsoever
for this property. The beachside view from the balconies was awesome especially in the mornings. You definitely cannot get any closer to the beach. The pool was warm and the hot tub was very relaxing. We will definitely be back for a 3rd time! Hopefully sooner rather than later!!!

We had a wonderful family birthday vacation here! This place seemed like it was updated fairly recently, everything seemed fresh and clean. The beds in the second bedroom were too soft and flimsy for some of our liking but not a big enough deal to cause any problems. In addition the the basics they listed the kitchen is stocked with a blender, toaster, coffee maker and everything we needed to cook and eat there. No spices or oils kept there. No beach towels or other beach paraphernalia either.

This is managed by a rental company so everything was clear and professional but there are a few extra steps after booking on VRBO. The dryer wasn’t working well when we first got there and someone came out and took care of it within 24 hrs of us reporting it. The WiFi worked well enough for my brother to work online all day.

There is great beach access as well as a nice view! We walked the beach, swam, built a fire, raked labyrinths in the sand, fished and found a bunch of great shells. We were there during the week in August, there were people always around but never busy or crowded.

Front door and patio doors need replacing. Need Coffee table and standing table lamp in living room. Need occasional chairs in bedrooms. No place to hang coats. We had to buy a portable coat rack. Couch needs to be cleaned and /or replaced. Overall, the unit was much nicer than previous ones we’ve
rented at El Constante. We think units should be graded and rental rates adjusted based on condition of unit. Owners who don’t maintain their units
should receive less rent.

Guess it wasn't too bad since you rebooked it for another 4 months next year. This owner has done a great job of updating the property. Coats rack are not required nor are they typically need for vacation rental properties. We do appreciate your feedback.

This property has a great view of the beach and jetties from the 2nd and 3rd floor balconies. No noise on the 2nd floor but the 3rd floor master can be slightly loud at night with beach traffic. Turn on a fan or white noise to drown it out. Otherwise the perfect place to be. Very nice heated pool in the complex too. Updates to all the buildings to be completed in another year or so but was not a problem to work around and had no impact on our long weekend.

This has been the best unit we have stayed in at El Constante!! It has been nicely updated and is very comfortable. Having a washer and dryer was a huge bonus with kids and wet swim suits and towels!The ongoing updates to the entire property are making it look fresh and not so run down.

We got off to a bad start with check-in being delayed almost an hour due to maintenance being done in the unit. Sliding door wasn't latching. We didn't receive communication about it prior to check-in at 4. So we waited in the parking lot until then. Although they did offer us access to the pool until then.

We travel to this area a couple of times a year and always use Padre Escapes for their excellent service. This unit is nicely updated, exactly as pictured. Very comfortable for 6 adults and the view was very nice. The condo property is older but cared for. Mother nature did not cooperate for 2 of the 4 days we stayed so the heated pool and hot tub were a nice respite from the unusual cold wind out on the beach!
