El Constante 227

While normally we are very satisfied with our stay at El Constante and have stayed in the room (thanksgiving)we stayed in this last time (February), our stay was very different. The condo itself is comfy and decorated nicely. When we first arrived, we noticed that the ac was not cooling. We called it in and were told we dropped it to low and that the weather outside was nice and basically didn’t need it. Fine.... Make me feel like an idiot. We raised it back up to their “suggested temp “71”. The next morning it’s at 73 and had been running all night. We called it in again. This time they sent a maintenance person. Sure enough something is wrong. Guess what we dropped back to 65 that night without any issues. While I also understand that early check in may not always be available, when the room is offered to me 2 days before at a discount to book an extra night the day before my stay, you would assume it would be available for early check in. It wasn’t. Charged $25 to get into the room an hour early. Downstairs bathroom sink was dirty.... Looked like some brushed their teeth and it wasn’t cleaned properly.

It was a late family vacation. Staff was awesome..the vibes were amazing. But for what I paid for my room. Ehh that's another thing. Bathrooms were not cleaned, floor was so gritty, half bath had a mini flood. Then the roaches .. I was just very disappointed this time around. Next time ill stay in a different room

The condo was nice. Well appointed. Beds were comfortable. It was clean. Very easy access to a fabulous beach. The only complaint was the living room furniture. It was terribly uncomfortable.

Our stay was fantastic. The place comfortably accommodated our party of 5. We appreciated the 2 full bathrooms and half bath downstairs. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots, pans, and utensils which made cooking a breeze. The area of the complex we stayed in was very quiet. We had no issues with noise. Beach access was super convenient, as was vehicle access. Check in and check out were a piece of cake as well! We will definitely be returning!

I accidentally scheduled for the wrong dates on Airbnb. Contacted Padre Escapes to see if they could help me out because there was no cancellation. They did, and they got us into a very nice condo right off the beach. The unit was clean, the kitchen was stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The pool was very nice. It was extremely crowded because some students from the Dallas area were having their Band Spring Vacation, but that was no bother. Something about Band kids, they're just different in a perfect way. Very polite and respectful. During the day, the groundscrew was cleaning up. During the evening, you would see the security personnel walking the grounds. Most definitely coming back for a longer stay. My Family and I enjoyed ourselves. Thank you, Padre Escapes. You all were very nice and very helpful, and responsive. Made checking in and out a breeze!

The condo and accommodations were great. However, the population is all seniors and they are not friendly. In fact, my young adult children were approached a few times questioning where they were staying, being accused of "sneaking in out the beach" and being told they didn't have the "right" beach towels. They also save all the loungers at the pool for people to join them at their convenience. We would not luckily stay here again as a family.

The condo was cute and roomy. Great views from the balconies. Great pool. Very close to the beach. BUT when we arrived the AC was not working. It was 88 degrees inside. Terrible in the humidity and carrying bags up the 2 flights of stairs. Hard on a Senior Citizen. I reported it to the office. They said they would send maintenance. He came after I went down to the office in person and asked again. Then he said yes it’s not working and called their AC company. The office told me AC guy would be there in 45 minutes. Office also said if they take too long they would send portable AC units. 5 hours later after MANY calls by me , they brought AC units. The repairman came at the same time. He fixed the AC but it was now 89 in a 2 story condo. So maintenance said he would hook up the portables to help cool. This is at 10:00PM. Then the breakers kept blowing and I had to call maintenance again 2 times. Finally all power was back except one bedroom. He put an extension cord from the hall bathroom into the bedroom which was a tripping hazard. They called an electrician who came 15 hours later. They refused to give me a credit or any kind of apology.
In my welcome email it said to call for early check in the day before. I did, they said it should be fine because no one was in the unit before us but call back the next day. I called at 9:30 they were in the room cleaning. I told them I didn’t want to check in till 1:00 or 2:00 and would pay the $25 fee. Told me to call back later. 12:30 still in the room cleaning. 3:30 still in the room cleaning. Got to check in at the regular check in time. WHY tell me to ask for early check in when obviously they don’t want you to do it? Overall the people who manage these condos are NOT customer friendly. The condo, pool and proximity to the beach was great.

Our stay was great at this condo would totally come again. It was very clean and well kept. My only complaint was how loud our neighbors were. You could hear little kids running up and down the stairs and banging on the wall that adjoined my 10 month old babies room. They did this for hours for two of the nights we were there which kept waking my baby. Other than the noise complaint we had a wonderful stay.

The condo is described accurately. We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and new. Kitchen had limited dishes, I don't even think there were 4 plates or coffee cups. Burrs in the carpet, so you had to wear shoes. The bathrooms walls need to be wiped down, it has like a paneling that seemed dirty. Otherwise, great. Pool is much smaller than picture indicate.

Great spacious condo on the beach. The beach is a side view from the balconies. The 2 bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Beachfront access is so convenient and the pool was relaxing! Great customer service from the office staff!

The place was exactly as described, a comfy, fairly large condo with direct beach access. This unit looked to be better upgraded than others in the complex and they were worth it. Big enough kitchen with enough tools to get your cook on. Pool was fantastic and beach was truly less than 5 minutes from door to water.

Perfect location, easy access to the beach. Swimming pool was very clean,
Condo#227 is very nice, updated and clean. The whole property was well maintained. Easy access to grocery store and restaurants.
I would recommend this place to everyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

This two bedroom condo is located on padre island and is right on the beach. It has a pool and a hot tub which the whole family enjoyed. This is not a hotel experience though. One thing that I really loved is the air conditioner works well in this unit. There is a lot of stairs so if you have trouble with stairs I would not stay here. There are stairs to the condo and stairs up to the bedrooms in the condo. Our family would stay here again.

We rented a one bedroom unit on very short notice for a last minute beach trip. Upon arrival, the unit we originally rented was in need of last minute repair and we were moved into a larger unit at no additional cost.
While not getting the original unit may seem like an inconvenience, it wasn't. The move to another unit was seamless and they were ready for us when we got there.

I can't speak for every unit in the complex but unit 227 was clean with upgraded appliances and decor. The pool area was clean and well maintained. The best part is that the beach is so close! For what we paid per night I would recommend this property, it was fairly priced.

Check in went smoothly, able to check in early which was great!! Christie was very welcoming, her whole staff there was very helpful. I was surprised to get a phone call from Christie after we settled in, just checking to make sure all was okay. That was very nice of her. We've stayed at el Constante condos during the July 4th holiday for 15 years now and I've got to say this year was the best!! Our room was cool when we walked in, didn't have to wait for it to cool down. Daily towel exchange awesome! All was great! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
