Fishing in the Surf

The vacation rental was GREAT! Arriving at the condo and access to the Gulf beach was fantastic! We experienced nothing but great a great welcoming from the vacation/permanent residence at CBC.

THE BEST STAY! Clean, Close, and Cute!

We had the best stay. This condo was so clean, well provided for, close to the beach, pool, and clubhouse. Other tenants were so friendly. Padre Escapes management was out of this word awesome to work with. This was the medicine our souls needed to recharge. Will never stay anywhere else and have recommended it to our family and friends.

Great little escape!

This was a great little condo. Perfect for me and my two kids. Close to the beach. This place had everything we needed. The only bad thing I can say is the couch smelled like a dog. Will definitely stay here again, will just pick a unit that doesn’t allow pets.

Not recommended

I do not recommend this place as it was not properly cleaned and there was a strong ‘wet dog’ smell which did not go away.

Location was good and company offered to waive cleaning fees but the scent spoiled any time spent inside the condo.

Not as Expected

Reserved this to have a place to stay after losing our home and belongings in the hurricane. We were so excited to get out of the hotel that we had been staying in 3 hours away from where we lived. The place was as pictured, but it was not that clean. Needs updating. Doors were hard to lock going out on patio. Was close to beach which I liked, but would not stay there again. Very disappointed that when we were able to get into our new mobile much earlier than we thought that they were not willing to work with us to give us a refund on some of the time that we did not need. Fellow Texans not willing to help out those in need really disappointed me. We definitely could have used the extra money to help in replacing our lost things.

We hate to hear you are disappointed in your stay. I disagree with your statement that we were not willing to help out those in need. We housed nearly displaced Texans and gave them their properties at an off season monthly rate. You guys checked in the weekend after the hurricane, at which time we told you "not all our properties are in the normal condition, we don't have a full staff at this time so we haven't had a chance to walk through and inspect each one like we typically do but please let us know if there are any issues." We appreciate your feedback and are happy to hear you are back in your home.

Beach Club Condo

It was nice and clean just wish that there was a coffee table or an end table to set your drinks on. Had to set them on the floor then didn't want to knock them over. Also worried that my phone would fall on the tile floor and could break cause there was not a place to set your phone near you otherwise you would need to get up and down off the sofa to check it.

Corpus Christi

I enjoyed my stay here. I would come back again. The sleeper sofa mattress was horrible. We went and bought a air mattress for $54.00. It was very clean and had everytning I needed for cooking. I loved the beach being so close. i have been telling everyone about it. Very relaxing area.

Good Stay

My husband and I were very happy with our stay during spring break. The location was just great for our needs, with walking to the beach, and close to restaurants. Our time went too quickly!
The only thing I'd rather have had, was a newer showerhead system, it seemed to be old and over used. Also, there was no blanket and it
did get chilly. Otherwise, we had no other problems, just a good time!

Beach Condo

The unit was clean and inviting. It was an older building, so it had a few quirks to get used to. The maintenance staff was prompt and courteous in answering questions and service calls. The kitchen was small sized as only one of us could work in it at a time. We had to provide our own food storage containers and mixing bowls as they were not part of the kitchen inventory, but all of the cookware and dinnerware were provided. Loved the fact that the beach was a couple of blocks away and walkable. The location was within 20 minutes of major shopping areas and had several local eateries within less than 10 minutes. It's a very laid back and friendly community and very pet friendly. We are returning next year but renting a unit with a bigger kitchen as we enjoy cooking most of our meals.

Birthday visit

Have stayed in this rental before with Padre Escapes. The condo is very basic but clean. It is located across the parking lot from the hot tub and pool! We love that! And of course right next to the beach. Will be returning asap.

fun for everyone

Needed a little getaway from the hustle & bustle of life.... the condo was cozy & the amenities provided good entertainment for all members of my family. The beach is a block away, the pool provided hours of fun for the kids, and Schlitterbaun is right down the road. Will most definitely be staying again. Loved it.

great location, very cozy

Beachcomber is located in a great location right by Whitecap beach and on the first floor. Everyone at Padre Escapes was very professional and very responsive. The Beach Club pool was very clean and the hot tub warm.
The condo was basic but comfortable except for the sofa sleeper which was very uncomfortable. I recommend staying here if you don't have to use the sofa sleeper and aren't planning on cooking much.

Great Long Weekend

Easy Check-in, and the condo was in a great location, close to the beach, as well as shops and restaurants. The place was exactly as described, comfortable, with a great TV and the bed was nice and soft. The only thing we had to go buy was coffee filters, salt and pepper. Never made it to the pool, as we stayed on the beach both full days, and went to local restaurants in the evenings. Doc's, Scuttlebutts, and the Boathouse were good.
Drove the Padre National seashore for 15 miles. Really cool if you have 4wheel drive.

Great stay!

We were very happy with our accommodation . The place looked just the way it is displayed on the site. The rooms were clean & we had all that we needed for our stay. The hair dryer was the only one I missed . May be next time we will opt for a king bed.

Very Charming Condo

Beautifully decorated and charming. Very clean and well furnished. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only negative comment is that the bed was much harder than what I am accustomed to sleeping on.
