I was disappointed.
It wasn't very clean.The property wasn't stocked very good compared to other properties we have rented.

Fun and Comfortable
The place felt like home to us, the ambiance was great and we spent quality time together in the living/dining area and deck (where my husband caught 4 fish!). The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. We had such a great time. Thank you!

Nice Stay
Overall the unit is comfortable and spacious. Plenty of room on driveway for 20’ boat attached to crew cab truck. We used boat ramp at Clem’s Bait & Tackle.

Upon arrival the foyer area smelled like wet dog and stairs had mud/dirt on them. Cleaning crew had left a mop and bucket which we determined caused the smel. Other than that the unit was clean. AC has a hard time cooling the unit and although the thermostat was set on 74, the inside temp would get to 77. We set the thermostat for 72 at night and it would take awhile to get there after sunset.

The house was nice on the canal. Everything in the house was good.
The beach white water was well maintained. We also took a drive over to the Paddre Natiomal Seashore. It was on a Monday, a large crew of cleanup people was pickin up trash from thr weekend. Such a shame that people don't clean up after themselvrs.

Enjoyed my stay and able to rest and relax knowing the place was very clean. Love the floor plan and easy access to the back patio and canal with the option to fish from the patio. The kitchen and dining area are a huge plus including a large dining room table with built in Lazy Susan in the center. Awesome location and easy access to fishing areas, restaurants and stores.

Boaters Retreat
Need a boat slip or a place to tie up your kayaks? Well this is the place to be. Not only is there a readily available fish cleaning station but also green lights where you can cast net for bait. The upper deck is superb for relaxation and star gazing. The interior has 4 spacious bedrooms, a well-stocked kitchen with not one but two coffee makers and a large dining table with a huge built-in lazy Susan which makes serving so easy. The location is prime with close by jetties for fishing, ready access to the beaches including Padre Island National Seashore, or for a quick trip into Corpus Christi. The AC works beautifully for those hot Texas days. We will definitely be returning here again and again.

Great location but dated.
Property is in a great location and the island is a great place to visit. The property is past it's prime and needs some work to be nice again. Upon arrival you are met with a swarm of mosquitoes and the smell of death from the trash sitting next to the front door for over a week. The house has almost everything provided in the descriptions but it is all well used and dated. Cleanliness was good for a once over but a deep clean could be done. Maintenance was lacking. From the AC filter that hadn't been changed in months to the back deck nearing collapse, the property needed work. Also, with a family there is no deadbolt or latch on the front door, just a standard door handle with a code from the outside. Anyone with the code or a tool could come in at anytime.

Since your stay, we've installed a new deadbolt lock for added security, replaced the downstairs king-size bed frame, and are currently reviewing plans for new decking to enhance the property's overall quality. Good afternoon!!


We had a great stay this week and we are looking forward to returning very soon as we enjoyed almost everything during our stay. In saying this we are wanting to let you folks know there were a couple small issues we are wanting to see if we can get looked at before our return. We are planning to return almost every month through September.
Again everything was great just communicating some small issues.

The downstairs toilet flush handle does not work all the time.

The downstairs bed has a bad sway in the middle and the couple who slept in there said it forced them to keep being g pushed to the middle.

Again, thanks again for a wonderful stay!!

Nice Townhome on the Canal!
My wife and I took our daughter, her husband, and 4 grandkids and had a great time. We stayed in the room on the 1st floor with a king bed, and they all stayed on the 2nd floor with the primary bedroom and king bed. The kids had the other 2 bedrooms. Plenty of room for all of us. I would definitely recommend this house for large families!

This rental was the absolutely the best place I’ve stayed in the Corpus Christi area.
Great location. Super communication with the hosts. Clean and comfortable with great TV choices. Covered boat area and a great fish cleaning area. Beds were very comfortable. A nice deck to relax on. We will definitely be back. Sara with Padre Escapes was amazing to work with.

Very nice place to stay. Layout of living, bedrooms and bathroom are awesome and very cleaned. Kingsized bed was very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and appliances. A/C was nice and cold. Great location and convenient store is a few blocks away. Plenty of restaurant close by to pick from. Perfect getaway without leaving the comforts of home. Fishing off the deck was nice. Lastly, quiet neighborhood.

Perfect Family Getaway
Beddings were clean, and smell clean too. It is in a four-plex but plenty of room for multi family - 2 master suite, one bedroom with bunk beds, a bedroom with queen size bed and fold out bed in the living room. Three baths and washer and dryer which comes in very handy as the family get home from the beach.

Great Unit & Experience with an A-
Overall, the unit was a great place to stay while at the coast! We really enjoyed the Ocean Therapy location and amenities. The deck was a bit shaky for six adults standing on it at one time. I have no idea about this type of decking, so I'll just blame some strong winds and lack of personal use on a deck. The bed in the downstairs bedroom was a bit irksome to get on and off for sleeping. The bed is too close to the wall on the right side. The unit managers should center this bed along the back wall for easier entrance and exit. The sliding bathroom door in that same bedroom needs a better handle to open and close it. I had difficulty close this door. I could not get the TV in that same downstairs bedroom to work. I finally disconnected the cable box to reboot the unit. It worked after that. My daughter told me that the upstairs-shared bathroom had a shower door that was hard to use. Please be assured that all the negatives I have written are minor. This is a superb unit with four bedrooms and lots of dining and living room area. The deck gives you a great view of the canals and fishing is OK if that’s your cup of tea. I’d recommend it at anyone.

Great place
Awesome layout of living, bedrooms and baths. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances, and utensils. Great location as we had a charter bay fishing trip that left from Clems Marina. Excellent restaurants close by. Rental was easy to find and navigate to and from.

The Great Escape!!!!
My grandkids really enjoyed fishing off the deck during the day and the adults enjoyed relaxing there at night. Found it very relaxing.

Awesome Getaway
Fish right off the deck or no more than 5 min drive to famous fishing holes. Very affordable, great amenities.

Air BnB Stay
This is our second time using this place and we were both satisfied with our accommodations. There’s only 6 of us and I can see this place fits 11 people comfortably with all their bedrooms and baths. House is very clean and it’s close to everything (beach, restaurants, entertainments, parks & recreations etc). Not to mention the rent is not bad at all considering location and facility itself. Worth it!!

Great escape from hustle and bustle
Perfect getaway without leaving the comforts of home. Fish right out the deck and plenty of room for 9 adults. Quiet neighborhood and very close to beach and fishing spots.

Fine, but great is coming...
This property changed hands between my initial reservation on AirBNB. I was thankful Padre Island Escapes honored our reservation with the previous owner!

Pros: On the canal, beautiful view, great location, easy to keep clean, boat slip, 9 people fit comfortably, great parking, and quiet neighborhood. We cooked our entire Thanksgiving dinner there!

Cons: Deck was wobbly so we were asked to limit number of guests on it at one time. (Decka and boat slip were the main reasons we rented this property.) Ants in the kitchen. Fire place was for decoration only. No kayak, grill or man cave in garage. (but that may have been a previous owner perk?)

I gave 3 stars on several just because we called in a hot water in the shower issue on Wednesday and they came Friday morning. (It has been resolved) We really wanted the kayaks, fireplace, Man Cave and grill. This may be resolved since they will have their own posting for this property and not list those things.

We are happy we were able to honor your stay! A Thanksgiving feast on the canal sounds lovely, and we love that you made memories here on the island with Padre Escapes. We did mention at the time of arrival of the deck issue, and since then the owner has approved to get it repaired. Fireplaces are not allowed in any of of properties due to safety reasons. Padre Escapes does not advertise that the unit has kayaks , grill, or man cave garage. We were not aware this unit was advertised this way prior to us taking over the bookings. We deeply apologize about the maintenance delay as that is not our typical standards, we do try our very best to send some one out as soon as possible. We have notified our supervisors of this situation and they are investigating further to improve this practice. Thank you for your feedback and we hope to host soon again!
