This condo was perfect for our group. We were traveling with 3 children age 4,7& 10 and a family member with mobility issues. The layout was perfect. There was a bedroom downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs. One was perfect for the kids. The condo was clean and well maintained. We did have a problem with fire ants. Mostly outside of condo. Overall it was a great experience and will definitely consider staying here again.

The two bedroom condo was clean, spacious and appointed as described. The bedrooms were spacious and so were both bathrooms. Recommend the owners replace the bed mattresses and pillows in both bedrooms.

Cute place to stay for a quick trip with family & friends. A nice, clean, well-maintained place. Kitchen had all the necessities.

We had a group of 12 & it seemed a little tight. Queen beds were very uncomfortable ( I still have neck pain 2days after our trip) & one of the ceiling fans made noise waking us in the middle of the night.

Met our needs for last minute reservation. I did not read all the property details. The patio being off the downstairs bedroom was inconvenient but manageable. The upstairs bathtub was clogged up.

Excellent place for a Family vacation. Spacious, clean, very comfortable, well-equipped. Close to the beach - 2 min walk. Large pool on the property, clean. Small library for kids. The property is well-maintained with beautiful flowers and a garden. The apartment is well-equipped, and all that you need, you will find it. A lot of games - excellent for travel with kids of different ages. We enjoyed it so much and extended our stay. Will recommend without hesitation. This property was awesome! There were 7 of us--5 adults and 2 children--and there was plenty of room! Everything was provided as advertised--comm with the host company was outstanding, and they have this down to a science! And it's a 10 minute walk to the beach! Highly recommend!!

Dryer was broken . Lost a whole day of vacation due to no electric . Should of had some way of helping the guest. Frig smelled lile something had died when we got there.

WE stayed in this townhouse 5 weeks. There were 2 major issues with this townhouse. The couch is terribly worn and broken down. You cannot find a cushion that doesn't sink to one side. It is very uncomfortable.
The kitchen did not have one empty shelf to store food. There is a sizeable pantry but it was locked needing a code to enter. With a 5 week stay we had a lot of groceries. We had to store them in the closet in the downstairs bedroom. This made cooking annoying to say the least.
The shower in the main bath would flood the floor if you didn't have the shower head pointed to the side wall: noticed the ceiling repair in the living room where there was earlier leak. This repair was directly below where bathroom is. We used the other bathroom upstairs to shower.
Two of the 3 mattress were comfortable. Did not try the bunks in the fourth.
The patio had a nice table. It was not paved or did it have pavers, just landscape rock. There were 2 plastic Adirondack chairs that did not sit well on rocks.
This is our 8th rental with Padre Escapes. As always the staff, especially the maintenance crew, are awesome.
Sadly this was our first regrettable rental. It may be ok for a short visit but not long term.

The couches were very spring and broken. The toaster only toasted one side of bread. The dry did not dry well at all. The fridge shelving was almost all cracked or broken. For the amount of money we were expecting more. The fact that three families were staying in this rental there should hav been more than one paper towel roll. I will not rent from this establishment again. The employees are great the actual rental no thank you.

The common area was very cramped for our party of 11. So much so, that 5 ended up renting the unit next door. There was seating for 8 so if your party is greater, you’ll have to take turns eating. All the door shelves in the refrigerator were broken, the “paint”/covering on the silverware drawer comes off when opened, no pillowcases for extra pillows, wi-fi wouldn’t stay connected, robber seal in washer had mildew on it, blow dryer in downstairs bathroom not working, recliner on end of sofa didn’t work and footrest wasn’t flush, advertised grills are in pool area and very dirty, splash pad wasn’t on, pool was dirty, and outdoor shower handle too high for short people to reach. Would not stay here again.

Property management company provided ample communication regarding check-in/out process and instructions for check-out requirements. Property was beautiful, clean and well-cared for with many beautiful plants creating a tropical feel. The condo itself was clean and generally well maintained.

If staying for longer than a couple days, bring some basics like laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, etc. since only starter supplies are provided.

The master bedroom bed is comfortable, but the 2nd bedroom bed is a bit less comfortable, which was fine for the kids.

Location to Whitecap Beach was convenient, right across the road to a parking lot for the beach. The walk to the beach does require crossing the street, but it is not an excessively busy street.

Location is close to (within 1-1.5 miles, about 5-minute drive) to numerous restaurants, grocery stores, Dollar General, cart rental locations, etc. Was also only ~15 minutes to North Padre National Seashore park.

We enjoyed our trip with our family. I’m not sure I will stay in a condo again. It did not work well with a baby and toddler. There really wasn’t a good play area and the pool was small and very crowded. The condo would be great for families with older children.

Great location. I would go back because Management was great very friendly. Furniture was a little uncomfortable. Stove, washer and dryer had some energy issues. They braker flipped out like 3 times. Pool was smaller then expected and dirt at bottom but I guess that expected near the beach . Overall stay I would rate it 3-4 .

Everything from booking to checking out was easy! The "promises" made (codes, linens, towels, etc.) through text/email were granted. The property sits perfectly from the beach for easy access! Our favorite was the pool and a few owners of other condos on the complex. The owners are very inviting and maintain the place. The actual rom itself was more than we could ask for! Very nice with, well, somewhat of an ocean view. Regardless, the room had us feeling as if we were at home from the start.

At check in being we had the larger condo with lots of people the pantry was lock for “personal use” which was an inconvinece with our groceries all of the counters leaving us with no counter space. Dryers need to be repaired or maintainced monthly being that it completely destroyed 4 swimsuits and trunks! The mattress on the upstairs pullout very thin and not comfy what so ever with metal pole in your back all night every night your there. Other than that the stay with our family made it worth the while

Overall the rental was amazing. Love the gulf view. There was a fish smell lingering in the rental. Dryer had issues drying more than just an item or two. Downstairs bed was extremely squeaky. Suggestion: put in a sliding door to the downstairs master since can not utilize door if table is pulled out.

Love this place!! Amber and the whole staff just went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect from our long trip from Chicago. We arrived later than expected no problems at all the house was beautiful and even received a 30% discount to stay an extra day which we absolutely used. This is our place to go from now on we will always stay here. The price were right on the beach across the street and the white caps' view from the balcony was gorgeous

I’ll make this quick. This property is filthy! Carpet going up the stairs is disgusting, the baseboards are dirty, the ceiling fans had piles of dust on it. The couch is dirty and spotty. The pans are difficult to cook in. The top bunk bed wasn’t made, we had to make the bed ourselves. If it’s being advertised as a sleeping quarter than why not make the bed for the guests! Sitting in the back patio and twice we were visited by a mouse! Dirty dirty dirty! Place also appears bigger in the pictures than what it really is.

Born and raised in Texas, and long time Beach goer. This location is amazing. You look out your balcony and see the beach. It's a close enough walk, but better for a large family to load up and drive. The house was large enough for our 6 adults and 4 kiddo family, as well as had a nice pool to relax in. Our complaints are purely with the state of the house. It was very dirty and smelled of mold or moisture. I would expect this for a cheap rental, but paying over 2k for 3 nights and finding the house in this state was shocking to say the least. The showers were the worst, and appeared to be neglected for months with the amount of mold and orange scum throughout. We had issues with the check in process as well. We were given the wrong code and like other reviewers have stated, they were late letting us check in due to house keeping. Not sure what house keeping actually cleaned before we arrived. Will definitely not be staying here again.

Our stay at Padre Island escapes was excellent. The beds are very clean as well as the living area. The management was very punctual and kind and helping us with questions. It was nice and cool inside and the pool was clean and refreshing. The condo is right across the street from Padre Island Beach. We had fun in the sun and came home to take naps. The unit was so dirty we could not keep our little ones clean. The Stairs were filthy, floors made your feet black within minutes of walking on them, ceiling fan was covered in black dust, dishes had to be washed before we could use them. The master shower had no water pressure at all. Very disappointed in the unit compared to the extremely high cost for a 4 night stay. I truly believe from the appearance the cleaning crew only changes the bedding.
