Being close to the main road does add a bit of activity, but we love that the beach is just steps away. For beach days, we do recommend guests bring their own beach chairs or umbrellas so you can set up exactly how you like and stay comfortable in the sun. This condo was in the perfect location with close parking and first floor. The condo including the linens were extremely clean. Property management was present and picking up litter that may have blown in. I recommend bringing tar wipes/solution. There were a couple wipes but we definitely needed more because tarballs were all over the beach. HEB is close as well as other things to do besides the beach.

Right from the beginning the experience was great! Availability, location, space and customer service was Perfect! We were a family of 4 adults, 3 small children and an infant and there was plenty of space and things to do. The beach was in walking distance. The pool was clean and well maintained. The Condo is located close to grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants for everyone’s liking. We came into town to experience the Sea turtle release, this condo was less than 20 minutes away! An Amazing experience will definitely return!

2+ months of being warm was wonderful. Really like the condo. The tv remotes were challenging but padre staff immediately addressed the issue. The maintenance crew staff always called ahead whenever there was a scheduled maintenance such as changing the ac filter, checking fire alarms, etc. we walked the boardwalk daily, but the path does need some attention. Overall, the place was great.

Our trip was a decent experience except The condo wasn’t as clean as I’m use to from your company there was hair around the condo. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, it was quite warm. There was mold in the shower.

Wonderful location so close to the beach. The condo was in great condition and very clean. Parking right next to the door was a real plus. Only request would be to have more bath towels. There was only one per person.

Stayed here 2 times before COVID-19 hit and had good experience. For what I was charged I would expect everything to work. Temperature controls on the range are broken so that was useless and the master bath shower head is broken. I highly recommend that some serious maintenance be put into this property.

The rental was perfect for my husband and I. Kitchen had everything you need to eat in, but restaurants were very close should you decide to dine out. The master bath was perfect if you love a roomy shower and the master bedroom storage was good. We loved how close to Whitecap Beach it was, a nice walk or barely a 2 minute drive.

We spent almost 3 months here and enjoyed every minute. As with all rentals you run into a problem or 2 and I compliment the owner and Padre Escapes with immediately providing a solution. We have rented from Padre Escapes for 3 years now and I can't say enough about how professional, upbeat and wonderful they are to work with. Any problems are taken care of immediately--from helping you figure out how to use the TV to replacing an appliance. I would highly recommend using Padre Escapes for your vacation.

This is my 2nd stay at the property and I really enjoy the fact that you can take a walk down to the beach if you choose to. If you are taking a vehicle it is a quick 2 - 5 minute drive from the property.

I stayed with my brother and cousins for a family beach trip here and we all enjoyed it. It’s close to the beach and conveniently near a gas station, ice machine, etc. it was a little cramped for seven adults at times, but was a great stay overall.

Although this condo could accommodate more than 4 people, it was perfect for our family of 4. The condo is on the ground level (made it easy to load and unload!), plenty of amenities that you might need for a short stay, and everything worked great!

Unit smelled bad like cigarettes or burned microwave popcorn, dead bugs, dust bunnies and hairs in bathroom. Mattress in master suite caused severe back pain and was cheap (no box spring). Uncomfortable stay, would not rent this unit again.

We have rented in this complex for the last two years due to its excellent location and age of property. Even with the cold spell this year we had an excellent time. We fully intended to return to this property again next year, however, do to reasons beyond our control we were unable to secure a property again in this complex. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Padre Escapes at a different complex next year which we have already secured a reservation. Ultimately it is our intent to purchase a property of our own in this area. We appreciate the clean, convenient and budget friendly service we have received through Padre Escapes, not to mention the easy check in and check out procedures. Our experiences have been hassle free.

For starters, this place is nice and you can't beat the location. Whitecap Beach is a 1 min walk down the road and the condo is nicely decorated. I would recommend staying here based on the property and the location.

That said, the issues I had with this particular unit:

- The check-in and check-out process was not seamless. As we were 30 minutes away from the condo, I got a call from the rental company saying I had not signed the contract and submitted the names and ages of all people staying in the unit. Normally I would not think much of it but having stayed in a different unit managed by a different property management company, the need to do anything outside of the VRBO confirmation seemed unnecessary and inconvenient.

- We stayed in the unit for 6 days. Again, probably biased by our prior stay in the other unit managed by the other vacation rental company, we arrived to find a total of 6 towels (this unit sleeps 6 people) intended to be used for the entire week. There was a single roll of paper towels, 1 packet of laundry detergent, and 4 rolls of toilet paper. The kitchen was lightly stocked, lots of dishes but no coffee filters and enough dishwasher soap for 2 days. When asked if we would receive more towels during our stay, the answer was no but we could come to the office (half mile away) and get some more if we wanted.

Anyway, I am NOT saying I wouldn't stay here again but lots of room for improvement and I would target staying in the other unit the next time.

Hope this helps improve the amenities in the unit as well as the overall rental experience.

Pathway to the Sea is awesome and everything around the property is great.

The condo was perfect. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The complex is not very large which makes it not very noisy or crowded. The pool is nice and large and the beach is only a short walk away. We will definitely stay here again.
