I want to give the good and the bad in this review, because both deserve to be addressed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept very well! I appreciated that there was a ceiling fan so we didn’t have to put the AC super low to cool the place off. The location of the apartment is just a short drive from Whitecap beach, several souvenir shops and restaurants. It’s the perfect little apartment for a small family if you don’t plan to spend all your time in it- which why would you? You’re here for the beach! The kitchen had a lot of cooking supplies, including a 6 cup muffin tin, plenty of bowls, cutting board and very nice knives! I brought some items from home like a pizza cutter and cutting board and was happy to see that I didn’t need to pull them out as the apartment already came equipped. The couch in the living room was very comfortable and the TV had plenty of channels to choose from. I loved the little 4 person dining table with drop sides in case you needed more room. There were 2 dressers in the apartment that had more than enough storage for all three of us. I also really appreciated that there was a vacuum cleaner, broom and dustpan, and even 2 laundry baskets in the closet should you need them. There was even a small packet of laundry soap provided if you wanted to go do a load. There were 2 rolls of paper towels and plenty of trash bags, a brand new kitchen sponge, 2 dish towels and a small bottle of dawn soap provided for our stay. I wasn’t expecting any of these items and brought some from home, so this was a nice surprise! The not so great part of this review has very little to do with the apartment itself but the management company/cleaning services. The apartment is a sweet little studio with so much potential, once several issues are addressed. Upon entering, we found a welcome letter stating who cleaned it and who inspected it. I legitimately thought someone had left a poopy diaper somewhere in the apartment because the smell was horrendous. I even checked my 4 year old to see if maybe he had an accident. It was neither of these. Adam, there’s no way you checked that apartment after it was cleaned. It was the garbage disposal. I ran it for a while, put a little dish soap in, cleaned it with ice cubes, and then tried baking soda and vinegar. NONE of these efforts worked, so we contacted management. (We are definitely the kind of people to try to fix an issue ourselves if we have the supplies and resources to do so before calling management, especially on a holiday weekend). They sent someone out the next day and got it fixed, but my question is WHY did the person CLEANING and the person who INSPECTED the cleaning not say or do anything about it? There’s NO WAY they couldn’t smell it. It literally hit you in the face the moment you walked in. On top of the smelly garbage disposal, there were gnats EVERYWHERE from it! I was having to fish them out of my coffee in the mornings and swat them away from every meal we ate in the apartment, which was several. Even had the above mentioned employees missed the smell, there was NO WAY to miss the gnats. While the kitchen had more than adequate cooking utensils, several of them were very obviously dirty. A spatula was placed in the drawer with a glob of egg still stuck to it, facing upwards. We’re not talking a tiny speck in between the slits that’s easily missed. Also concerning was the fact that the bathtub had an incredibly slow drain! There’s no way that if it was cleaned the person cleaning would have missed the tub filling up and not draining properly. The Airbnb page also stated that you would be provided 1 towel for every guest- that was not the case. We had brought plenty of beach towels so we used one for indoor use. The Airbnb page for the apartment stated it had a 12 cup coffee maker so that’s what we prepared for. It DID NOT have this kind of coffee pot but instead had a small off brand Keurig with no refillable pod. We had to go out and purchase a small coffee maker from Wal Mart our very first day there. This should absolutely be corrected on the listing so guests can plan accordingly. Inside the apartment on the refrigerator it states there’s an area to wash your boat and or car. I wasn’t expecting anything grand, but the car wash area was missing an outdoor water faucet so that was a complete bust and false advertisement. There was no way to rinse off your car from the salt water and sand at the beach. We are not high maintenance people, but we do expect to receive the services and amenities that are stated in an Airbnb’s advertisement and inside the apartment. I didn’t call management for all of these items because I wanted to just enjoy my vacation and not spend the first half of it trying to get items fixed that should have been caught by the cleaning crew. The apartment overall needs to have make ready services come in and touch up paint, redo the caulking in the shower, fix the broken shelf in the panty area, put new shelf liner in the kitchen, and address water damage to the windowsills. There’s obviously a breakdown in operations somewhere when incredibly obvious problems are not being taken care of before a guest arrives. We did not allow the above mentioned problems affect our ability to have a great vacation, but we definitely didn’t feel like we got a good deal in renting this particular apartment because of these issues.

We were very satisfied with the property. The living room furniture was somewhat uncomfortable. Not sure where more than 6 people would sit. We did have a stray cat that constantly used the back patio area as a litter box. Padre Escapes did try several times to mitigate the problem.

We met our family over Christmas break. We liked the proximity to the pool and pickleball court. A walk or drive to the beach was the best.

Aruba Bay was as exactly as advertised. The 2 pools were great, pickleball court accessible and the sunset views amazing. Access to the beach was minutes away. My family and I would stay there again happily.

Absolutely loved the close proximity to the pool, walk out the back gate and you are there! I was surprised that we did not hear anyone else on our trip. The triple bunks were perfect and our large family enjoyed our 8 day stay very much. Check out is simple and easy. The apartment was well stocked with dishes, pots pans and appliances.

Loved the view off of the balcony and the convenience of how close the pool was.
The mattresses were horrid
There wasn't any end tables to put your drinks on when sitting on the board hard sofa.
Staff was completely accommodating to replace destroyed pans, provide portable air conditioning units when central when on the fritz for a week, and helping us to find another unit for next year.

we had multiple units rented for a wedding and it was perfect because they were close to each other and the pool was great. It would have been nice if beach towels were included. Some of us traveled from far away, Germany/ Alaska.
