A super great location & spacious, well designed condo. Rental agents incredibly easy to work with & was able to help me answer all of my questions. Easy check in & check out. The unit even has a garage which was perfect since we rented a golf cart & only used the cart on the beach. Both car & cart fit in the garage.

We had a wonderful time at this vacation condominium. Had plenty of room for our family.very spacious, everyone had their own space. Beach was an easy walking distance. The pool was very inviting after a day at the beach. The condominiums are quiet. Had a lovely time!

This was our 7th year at Whitecap Beach, 6th year at Pathway to the Sea. We absolutely love the location, garage access and the pool. The condo is starting to see major wear and tear due to the lack of maintenance and being so close to the water.

The location of the rental great. Path to the beach was convenient and proximity to the pool was great for kids.
The cleanliness was to be desired. We came in just after the cleaning team left and the floors were still dirty and sandy. Our barefeet were not clean at all during entire stay.
Third floor bedroom ceiling fan blades hits ceiling when is on so can’t be used. Remote operates two rooms lights and fan so both rooms had to have their lights/ceilings on at same time.
The downstairs bathroom needs some maintenance. Extremely low water pressure and just doesn’t look clean.
The smell in the condo is very water/mold smell. Needs attention.
Overall, better cleaning services needed and some TLC could do the condo some good, especially for the price.

This was our 4th year renting this condo. We love the location and use of the garage.
We knew ahead of time that the dryer was not working and may not be fixed during our stay. Just feel at the age of the condo and location it’s probably time for new appliances. The entire condo is showing signs of how brutal the weather on the coast can be, hopefully maintenance will be done prior to our next years trip.

the place was awsome. great location to the beach and pool. very clean. rental agents were very helpful. there were 3 things that need a look at though. there was water leaking from the kitchen light fixture twice. not sure why. smoke alarms kept going off on the lower level behind the garage for no apparent reason. and the ceiling fan in the 3rd floor bedroom on the right was very noisy.

Born and raised in Texas, and long time Beach goer. This location is amazing. You look out your balcony and see the beach. It's a close enough walk, but better for a large family to load up and drive. The house was large enough for our 6 adults and 4 kiddo family, as well as had a nice pool to relax in. Our complaints are purely with the state of the house. It was very dirty and smelled of mold or moisture. I would expect this for a cheap rental, but paying over 2k for 3 nights and finding the house in this state was shocking to say the least. The showers were the worst, and appeared to be neglected for months with the amount of mold and orange scum throughout. We had issues with the check in process as well. We were given the wrong code and like other reviewers have stated, they were late letting us check in due to house keeping. Not sure what house keeping actually cleaned before we arrived. Will definitely not be staying here again.

Enjoyed this condo and location. It is nice to be able to walk to the beach. The closest beach area is blocked off from vehicle access on both sides which I really liked. The pool was clean and nice. There were a few chairs and boogie boards in the garage which was very helpful. The management was friendly and helpful.

We loved this condo and the location to the beach. The heated pool is an awesome bonus also. Overall the condo was very clean and comfortable. The only two complaints in that department are that the grey chair in the living room is extremely stained and dirty and the dryer doesnt work very well. Thanks for a great stay Padre Escapes/Parhway to the sea!

This unit is beautiful. This was our 1st time renting a Condo and I must say my family and I were not disappointed. This unit was very roomy for my huge family. As a mother who still has to feed everyone even though we're on vacation, I was definitely happy with the kitchen. Everyone loved the 3 minute walk to the beach. The location and space of this townhouse is perfect. And we really enjoy our time there. While the management should be improved, as we arrived at 4 and they let us wait and check in 30 min late, also, the house was not cleaned throughly, for example the tables were dusty, and the smell of the house was not good. And also the conditioner of the king bed room was not working well, and it is hotter compared to other rooms. Highly recommend bring your own bedding staff, the pillows are not clean. These are my suggestions. Overall, we are satisfied and will recommend to friends.

The location was amazing, and the AC unit kept the place cool. But that was it.

The cleaning crew did a poor job of preparing the unit for us. The showers/sinks were dirty, the walls/furniture/appliances/etc looked very worn, and there was even a full bucket of bait left on the porch which smelled.

We were also surprised at this state given that we were not allowed to check in until 45 mins after 4pm because it "took so long to clean the unit."

Everything was cheap from the mattresses, to the paper towels/toilet paper, soap, linens, and the silverware/kitchen supplies. Every one of the mattresses also sagged and were extremely uncomfortable to sleep on.

We've stayed at other rentals in the area before, and have not experienced this quality of items.

The pool was nice, but is in full sun and not as close to the covered seating area as it seems in the pictures. We would have enjoyed it more, but it was actually closed for most of our trip due to an electrical malfunction that didn't get resolved until the day before we left.

Overall, I would say we made it work, and if the price was better I wouldn't be so critical. But we paid good money to stay at what we thought was a newer complex. This place needs to have a deep clean, and the items on the inside replaced/upgraded.

The location is fantastic, and we love staying on the Island in Corpus Christi for our annual beach trip.

The management company was very nice. There was a shutter missing in the master bedroom, which seemed odd, and we ended up contacting the management company. They were not able to provide the missing shutter during our stay, but it was a holiday weekend. The rental was very clean and very spacious. The rental was clean and nice. Had a couple things that were wrong, but fixable. Some things that would help would be dishsoap holders in all bathrooms, window covering in the two sunburst windows upstairs, and a shampoo holder/shelf in the downstairs shower. The place worked well for all 9 of us. Close to the beach, we walked almost everyday, quiet and still close to all the restaurants.

Spent a week with our two adult children to visit family and spend some time at the beach. 4 bedrooms, one with a bathroom on the bottom floor next to the two car garage. Second floor has the living area with kitchen, living room with large TV and dinning area with a restroom. Balconies on both sides of the living area that have gulf views. Third floor has three bedrooms a master with it's own bathroom and balcony that has a gulf view and two others with a shared bathroom. One bedroom has a bunk bed. Very clean, large washer and dryer, nice counter for breakfast and an 8 person dinning table. 2-3minute walk to the beach via path behind the complex can hear the waves at night from the balconies. Visited with family, spent some time at the beach, drove down the National Seashore coast on the sand, spent a day at the Wave resort water park, great Jazz brunch on Sundays. A nice german bakery within walking distance, some nice restaurants on the island. Some stairs to get to the living area and 3rd floor bedrooms. Would stay again.

We loved this unit! All the conveniences were met for 10 people to stay with plenty of space. We enjoyed the 3 balconies where we could see the beach and hear the waves. Such a short walk to the beach. Well equipped kitchen, ROKU TV and all the great tv channels. Comfortable furniture, beds and linens. Wonderful decor makes it easy to relax.

We went to corpus with another family for a long weekend. The condo is brand new and the location is fantastic. The walk to the ocean is short and lovely. The property has a great heated pool that the kids enjoyed. We did not get our door code in the check-in email like we were told we would. So I called and left a message asking for it. I never heard back. We arrived late at night with 8 tired kiddos and couldn’t get into our room. Through a series of phone calls and long hold times I was finally able to get the code to get in the condo. We also noticed a loose stair nose that was a big tripping hazard (one of our party is pregnant). So, I emailed and promptly heard back and was told it would be fixed that day, but no one ever came.
So, while there were many good things about this place, there were also a couple of bumps in the road.
I have always stayed at home away’s properties that are owned by an individual. This one is owned and managed by a company and I think that made a difference in the experience.

We apologize for any miscommunication on our part. The door code messages are setup through an automated system that sends them out to thousands of guests per year and with very few issues. We'd been in touch with the builder in regards to the stairs issue and where told it would be addressed during your stay, we're very sorry that it was not but we'll be sure it is taken care of before any future guests check-in. We do not own the property, we do manage it for the property owner. Roughly half the properties on sites like Homeaway and VRBO are managed by a property manager. Bumps in the road are always unfortunate but we do appreciate your feedback and help to improve our services for future guests. We hope we see you back soon.
