Fishermans dream

We had a wonderful time and loved the place it was very clean and we loved being close to the beach and fishing at night off the dock. We will stay here again.pool was great to relax in after a day at the beach. The property was amazing.

2nd stay

I love the location, the size of the property for 2 teens, 1 child, and 1 adult. We enjoyed the pool. The negatives- no lights at all on stairs or down by the pool, I had to go out at night and needed my flashlight which once I put my light on the stairs several big cockroaches scattered below my feet causing me to scream. Thankfully I did not find any inside. Another negative is the smell of the condo this time. It smelled burnt whether from cigarettes or another source I’m not sure but even the linens smelled like it so I washed some things while there. I still feel like it’s decently priced, in a good location and worth trying out. I am not opposed to coming back for our annual trip next year just hope the smell is gone ��

Somewhat legalistic check in and out. 1st time ever did not get address/unit # until actual check in time. Also would mean overcharge if forgot to send in check out exactly on time. Should provide trailer parking referral for units with boat slips.

4 night stay

Very nice place, very large. Good pool and water access. overall a very good place. Except when we checked in on saturday. The room we had was right above the pool. people were playing music and being very loud(all day and into the night). I went and talked to the last group at 10:30 pm and told them we were fishing at 5 am and needed to sleep.The rest of the stay was quiet and peaceful. If I was to do it again I would ask for a different room.

Comfortable

Really nice. We were comfortable. Parking is dedicated so we didn’t need to walk far. Pool is small but close. Balcony is nice but mosquitoes were bad and there is a corner with a huge pile of bird droppings so we couldn’t use it. Great to have a washer and dryer. They could supply a few coffee filters. Bring your own.

Nice apartment!

We came to the coast for SandFest. This property was a good location since we didn't want to have to ride the ferry every day to go to SandFest. The trip down the island is easy. This property was easy to access and the entire property was comfortable.

Bay front Condo

Very well maintained, clean 2bd 2 bath condo with a boat slip. We had a great weekend for a birthday celebration and lots of fishing! Boat dock was just renovated. Only downside, to no fault of this rental owner, was construction on the street and access was detoured due to construction and hard to juggle with boat trailer. No parking for oversized vehicles.

Memorial Day 2023

Clean & Family Friendly

Everything was clean and the location was convenient and close to the shopping areas of North Padre Island. Would highly recommend, especially for families with small children. There is a swimming pool located directly below the condo on the first floor. Our kids loved it! That said, pool was opened until 11pm and there were multiple people at the pool until way later...like 1am and later. They were loud and no one ever came to tell them to leave.

Fisherman’s Dream?

Our attempt to get away from winter was somewhat successful. Even with the cooler than normal temperatures and the wind, Padre Island was still a much better experience than what we left.
Fisherman’s Dream is in a good location It is close to the beach and to many entertainment possibilities in Corpus Christi. The fishing off the dock outside the condo is good and convenient. The Island Market just down the road made trips off the island for groceries less necessary.
We were surprised by the appearance of the unit when we first walked in. It is very poorly lighting. The carpet is badly stained and leads you to question whether the unit is clean. (The unit was clean.) The furnishings are very dated and lack comfort. The master bath was not a good experience because of the slanted floor of the tub shower and the location of the toilet. We did find that the management staff and the maintenance crew are very responsive and extremely polite. Management even saw to the purchase of a floor lamp to help with the lighting issues. They were also apprised of things that should be addressed for future renters.
We will not be returning to Fisherman’s Dream but have not ruled out a return to the island. When we do return, we will definitely contact Padre Escapes for our accommodations.

Canal front property

The place was nice and clean, with a great location. Only one designated parking spot and there was extra charges to use the boat ramp and trailer parking. I figured water front rental would have this all included.

Vacation

Lovely condo , clean and comfy at the Fishermans Dream

Came down for family wedding and limited to condos. I am glad this one was available as very pleased with it. Loved the large windows, but plants blocked the view. Weather was poor so kept shutters closed. Dock was closed so no fishing done.

The whole process has been quite smooth, it is a pitty though the State legislation that does not allow to keep even salt/pepper between stays. Only complaint would be the condition of the was in pretty bad condition

Fun time!

All was good. Pretty unit. We did have a problem with a roach in the bathroom that got on the toothbrushes. And the ac seemed a little warm even when we lowered it. Please check your pest control. We’ve rented from y’all several times and I’m Sure we will use y’all again.

Family Fun

We had a great week. A few updates to the condo would be beneficial but overall the place was neat and clean and we had a wonderful time.

Great Place to Stay

The condo is very clean and modern. The beds were comfortable and the property well kept. The boat slip is bigger than normal which came in handy with our boat. It is easy to get where you want to so since SPID is just a block away. We really enjoyed the place. The folks at Padre Escape has always been a great group of people to work with. We have used them for many years. This year we needed a bigger place so we moved to this condo. We were very pleased.

Easter at The Fisherman's Dream

The Fisherman's Dream was in a great location. The fact that it came with a covered reserved parking was nice as well. What I didn't like was that the place was a bit dusty. It also had a bit of a smell to it. Maybe an air freshener or a Scentsy for use while there would have been nice. I also didn't understand the reason for 2 TV's Other than that we were pretty happy with the condo.

Home Away From Home

I found myself temporarily relocated to the Corpus Christi area for 4 months with business and needed a home rather than a hotel room. The Fisherman's Dream condo fit the bill perfectly. It is in a great location with proximity to Corpus Christi but out on 'The Island'. It is comfortable , well stocked and maintained. The balcony provides a relaxing canal view and great area to check emails and get after hour work done. The hot tub is outstanding!

The is additional guest parking throughout the complex and all amenities are open.

Is fishing dock open and access from the condo?

Yes there is a dock to fish from, it is not directly accessed from the condo but it is easily accessible.
