We have stayed with Padre Escapes about 10 years now. Wonderful people, wouldn't consider anyone else. The property is excellent, the owner is the best. The furnace went out after cold snap, service man was there same day and new furnace installed the next day. You can't ask for more than that.

The unit we were assigned was very clean and ready for entry. It had a nice kitchen and the A/C worked perfect! Two spaces in the assigned parking and no issues with other guests. Would not mind staying here again.

The condo on the 1st floor was great! Step out and see the sand and surf, and sit on the chairs on the patio. There is a nice pool in the complex that is taken care of daily.

The condo is wonderful for a couple, and Padre Escapes checks in on you (via text) to make sure everything is going well. When we visit CC again, we will be using Padre Escapes directly.

Our stay was great as always. The unit was well-furnished, spacious, and clean. The beds were comfortable, and having a washer and dryer was a huge plus for keeping our clothes clean and dry. Condo is right on the beach and also right next to the resort pool. Condo itself was clean and had mostly everything we needed. Parking was tricky some times due to the condos that face the ocean don’t have actual parking spaces so some times we had to park farther back but it wasn’t terrible. The grounds also have a lot of grass areas for pets. The only reason u gave 4 starts instead of 5 for overall satisfaction is because I think for the money being spent to stay, the condos could be updated with newer appliances, furniture, etc.

Dishwasher dose not work well at all it dose not clean the dishes and dose not dry them either. Floors were dirty if you walked on the barefoot or in sock it would turn the bottoms of your feet Black from the dirt and grime on the floors. Fire alarms keep going off randomly at night and during the day. Maintenance man’s fix was to spray compressed on them. Showers and tubs had sand residue in them from previous guest. Coffee table has a nail sticking up through the top on which our grandson cut his hand told the maintenance man about it nothing was done. Very low water pressure throughout the condo. Oven is very slow to heat up and get to temperature. a/c does not cool the bedrooms very well. Condo is in a great location into reference to pool location very easy access just a few steps and your at the pool. Condo is for sale for 416k lol wouldn’t recommend this condo till repairs are made to the items that are made mention too in this review.

Spacious and inviting. The condo had everything we needed for our party of 5. My only issue would be-the stacked washer and dryer. The controls on the dryer were at the end of my outstretched arm. I had to stand on a chair to be able to set/use the dryer. This is not feasible or safe for everyone. It would render some vacationers unable to use the dryer.

We have been to the Village by the Beach several times. We always returned, not to this particular unit but to the property. We booked this reservation back in January I believe. Days before our arrival date, we received a notice that the pool area would be closed for resurfacing but we could use the pool in the adjacent property. We were okay with that. Our unit and my son's unit are right by the pool. The noise level was horrible, we could not sit on the porch because of all the dust, and when we walked out of our unit, the sanding equipment would splash gritty junk on us. When we asked why they didn't just give us another unit since they knew beforehand what resurfacing entails, the Property Management replied that we were told ahead of time and it was the fine print in the contract we signed regarding HOA rights when construction is taking place. There were not that many units that were in use during the weekdays we were there. Basically, the property management did not care. As I said, we have been there over the years but we will not be returning and we will not recommend this place. It is sad that they would treat returning customers this way. This complaint has nothing to do with the unit we stayed in but the property management is totally unprofessional and could care less about the clients.

The location was perfect, and we loved the beach view patios. The property was comfortable, but felt really beat up. The furniture was all chipped, the dishes were so worn out that they didn't feel clean, and there was mold in the showers. With a total ticket price of almost $700 for two nights, I expected better.

Grandkids didn't want to leave. Stayed with my son and his wife and two kids 7 and 5. The place was big enough for us,and though not too fancy was comfortable with nice appliances and they even had some kids toys and beach paraphernalia in a storage area like beach chairs, ice chest that was much appreciated. The kids loved the pools close by and the beach was not too far. Overall a nice visit enjoyed by all.

The El Constante is in a prime location ON the beach. You don’t have to cross a street to get to the beach. This is great bcz I saw no bathrooms on the beach. This unit itself has pros and cons. Pros: View of the beach from bedroom! Great access to beach, pool, parking, and laundry. It was clean and nice and perfect for just 2 of us. No one is above you or below you at night. Cons: It needs a little ltc in the bathroom and Vent fan doesn’t work. (For owners: you need to replace the exhaust fan/vent bcz your paint is starting to show signs of too much moisture. It’s still fine right now though) Can hear office staff sometimes during the day bcz the office is below this unit, but it didn’t bother us. If you want to nap during the day, it might bother you. Overall, we had a great time and it was good for us. We did not use the oven or stove, so I can’t comment on that. There are steep stairs inside going up to the living area. There is a small child gate in the closet that you can use, but I’d bring my own if I had a small child. On another note, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a great location for fishing and tourist attractions. The condo is steps away from the dock for some night fishing.
The décor is very cute and the condo clean. Great having a washer/dryer and dishwasher.
I highly recommend this condo for a family of four or less.
Check-in and out was so easy. I would say the most convenient I have encountered over all the years we have been vacationing around Padre.

Wonderful rental! A/C worked beautifully! Everything was very clean and organized! Would highly recommend this rental! The living room furniture and kitchen chairs were somewhat in the “used and well lived in” category but that is to be expected and we’re not complaining about that.

Very clean and spacious. Sleep sofa was not comfortable but to b expected. On downside with this location is that it’s a bit far from the beach if ur walking Not far if u drive or rent a golf cart. Pool was excellent

The rental is in a great location! Just short drive to the beach. The house was clean when we got there. I had to call Padre escapes to get the check in info because they didn’t send me the text like they were supposed to- but no big deal. I would suggest a new mattress in the king size bed and definitely new pillows! If you’re going to visit bring your own pillows!! Other than that we enjoyed our vacation.

We did have a wonderful time. The adult pool and the kiddie pool were definitely a plus. Easy access to the beach. The unit needs a little TLC...the queen size mattress is so soft that two people end up in the middle. The outside porch patio table, one leg has rusted through, no cushions on the bench (just flattened fabric), bring your own small plastic glasses for kids... kitchen only has glass and there is no metal pan for transporting your grilling food inside and out. By the way, be advised that it is Charcoal ONLY.

Was disappointed in that we were not contacted to check in. The unit was vacant most of the morning. Had requested early check in. Called twice that day, finally at 4pm I called was told there was a plumbing issue. Maintenance need to review before letting us in. Then I was called and told I could go in if I would allow maintenance to come in, I said yes. So, we finally got in. The issue was a water stain under the master bath sink. It had already bee fixed. You would think that this would be documented so this would hold hold up the unit be occupied.
Extremely disappointed in service team.

good rental experience, the rental company is always professional and we have stayed in condos at this property a few times, in other units. This unit is nice but needed some small repairs. bathroom cabinets coming off hinges, laundry door that would not shut properly, hair dryers that would not work. Just small things but overall the unit is nice and we love this properties pool and location.

We found the rental exceeded our expectations. The unit was very clean and felt very spacious for our group of 7. Even though the place was very busy, we had no problem with noise from the pool being right outside. The beach is an easy walk. I would recommend getting a spot by 9:00 am on the beach, it gets very crowded. We did visit other beaches in the area and found white cap to be the nicest. We had one issue with a breaker tripping and the staff was very responsive and friendly. I’ve been renting from VRBO for 7 years so I have a lot of comparisons. I would absolutely recommend this condo and company.

I love love loved my vacation home it was very clean & comfortable... almost like a home away from home! It was located in a convenient location... near fast food restaurants, Drug store, convenient stores, bate shops (if you enjoy fishing) & also not to far from the local H-E-B & Wal-Mart. It was equipped with everything that was promised but most importantly it was handicap accessible & that made my heart so warm!

The room was clean. Kitchen had all I needed to cook meals. We were not able to check in to the room until after 4pm which did cause issues with part of my group- and caused me to have to call customer service more than once trying to get entry. I was told it was because of a mattress pad? The biggest complaint I had was that if you are booking this room at max capacity of 8- don’t because the sofa bed is not fit to sleep on. The mattress was like a blanket with springs in it so one person can sleep on the sofa the bed in the sofa is worthless and this caused us to have to have 3 people in the king bed which was not ideal. I have stayed at other vacation rentals that had decent sofa beds. This sofa bed is not fit to be counted as a place to sleep. We had an issue with the assigned parking spots- someone took our spot and nothing was done about it- we just had to wait until the person left and steal our space back. The rental was a very good size unit. Parking was tight if you drive a larger truck it’s a challenge. I am Not sure if I would rent here again- the sleeping arrangements for 8 was a big deal and we paid money for 8 capacity which was not the case. I have stayed at vacation rentals where everyone had comfortable sleeping quarters and this was not the case with this unit

We've stayed in this unit multiple times over the years and we were pleased with the upgrades made to the bathrooms this year. New paint and sinks/countertops were nice. Kitchen needs updating, but everything worked fine. Only complaints this year was the master bedroom walk in closet smelled like fish...really bad fish. We left the door to the closet closed the entire time and it we couldn't smell it in the room, we just couldn't use the closet. Also, in the same room, the vertical blinds were broken. When we arrived, they were not attached to the track, and multiple blinds fell off when we tried to open it. Other than that, we love the location of El Constante and the maintenance and office staff were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a great vacation!

This is our second stay with Village by the Beach and will probably stay again. Good amenities, close to the pool and a close walk to the beach. Disappointed we couldn’t get an early check in and I don’t think the unit was quite as clean as it was before. Wine glasses hadn’t been cleaned in years. The king room stays hot unless the rest of the unit is freezing ... probably because the thermostat is right outside that room.

The property was comfortable for our needs. We were not on vacation during this time.
The location to the pool is excellent. The unit was warm upon entry but cooled down after several hours. The master bedroom and bath stayed a little warm during the day but a provided fan kept it comfortable. I would like to have had more cooking utensils (spoons, slotted spoons, colander, newer spatulas). It would also have been nice to have a broom to sweep up instead of a vacuum. This would have been especially handy when our toddler was napping.
Overall, a nice place to stay. I've stayed at three units at this facility and the other two seemed to have the things that we found missing in this one. However, this one would rate with the others with the quick fix of the additions I mentioned.

Had a wonderful experience with our rental. The place was clean and comfortable with room for all. B923K was just a walk out the door to the kids pool and a short trip down to the beach. The location was close to shopping and entertainment. We even got to see a turtle hatchling release. Such fun.

We stayed at Village by the Beach last year and had a wonderful time.
This year was not so good.

The power was off all over the island, got turned back on at 8:00 pm and went back off from 10:00 to 12:00. This was no fault of the owners though.

However, We had a unit right next to the pool and there was a group of inconsiderate people that played loud lewd music with their boom box right in front of our door for 2 days straight. We kindly asked them to turn down their music at 8:00 pm the first day since we had small children that we were trying to get to sleep. They complied for about 30 minutes and then turned it up again. They began again about 10:00 a.m. the next morning and played the loud music until about 11:00 that evening. We called the leasing office at 4:00pm the second day because not only was the music loud, but most of the songs contained the "F" word that was repeated over and over. No one could enjoy the pool. The office said they would call someone to come check it out. If anyone ever came, we didn't notice any difference. Then we called again at around 9:00 pm and were told we would have to call the police. We called the police and the police told them to turn it down which they did, but shortly after the police left, they turned it up again.

I would hope that when we go again next year that there would be some kind of security to control that kind of situation.

Wonderful place to stay! Very clean and organized. Has everything in the kitchen you could possibly need and it even has bins to put laundry or toys to help you organize while you are there. I loved the garden hose on the porch to help keep the sand levels reduced but if you do happen to track in sand, no worries, there's a broom for you to use.

You called to cancel the day of your arrival and wanted a full refund which is against our policy however we did sympathize with your situation and offered you the opportunity to moved your dates to the following month so I would certainly disagree that our "customer service failed to respond" and that we were "unwilling to assist with reservation issues." I would hope your opinion changes on your upcoming stay with us.

My family stayed in this condo for the first time last weekend and it was a great stay. Everything was brand new and in excellent condition. The pool area was huge and lots of fun. The beach was only a short walk away. Overall we had a great time and very relaxing ... the only thing I would change is the insulation between the bedrooms and bathrooms. The walls seemed very thin and sound carried easily. We will definitely stay again!
