This condo needs some major upgrades. Refrigerator light burned out & repair maintenance said it was un-fixable. Also, temp was checked but still froze everything. Sofa/love seat is very low--no support. Master bedroom bed needs replacing.
Probably biggest problem: cockroaches! Exterminator sprayed but still a problem.
Key to pool area does not work. Pool doors left unlocked and many pool visitors were not renters in this complex.
We are not going back! Our rating is definitely only a 1!

Property management was amazing helped me get tge prefect home last minute. House was great clean prefect location to the pool and not far from beach. Only thing is master bed is super extreme soft you feel like you sink inn. I personally like really soft beds my husband likes frim so was really uncomfortable for him. Either than tgat everything else was prefect!!!!

We arrived early with early check in, very clean, comfortable and nicely appointed condo with plenty of space, family friendly and facing the swimming pool. The pool was delightful and just what our family needed to entertain our four year old and still be able to relax. check in and check out process was very easy. Very short drive or walk to the beach.

Cleanliness - porch had really sandy mats; there were any trails; ants don't bother me, but these were fire ants. There are fire ants in the pool area, too
Everything in the unit worked, although a bathtub stopper needs replaced

Thank you, Tracie, for your review! Fridges do take a while to cool since the housekeeping team have it open while cleaning inside of it and then it usually gets filled up with groceries. We are happy to hear it did reach temperature as it should. We look forward to hosting another great stay!

We had a great stay at Village by the beach. The condo was nice and clean. Everything we needed was there. It had a great view of the pool and was an easy walk to the beach. The only issue was an arcade game we could not get to work. We did call and were told someone would call back, but did not. We had specifically chosen this condo for the games. Despite this I would stay there again. We enjoyed our stay. We did call to get a .plumber to check a slow draining shower. He was a no show. I appreciate being able to check in a day early for 30% off. It was a great help. Looking forwasrd to spending another vacation there.

The condo we stayed at was perfect! It was clean and provided everything we needed. There was even a high chair for our 1 year old which was a tremendous help. The property is SO close to the beach. We walked there a few times during our stay and it only took about 10-15 minutes. They cleaned the pool and pool area every morning and everything was well taken care of. Definitely recommend.

What a fun condo! The video games was such a fun bonus for the kids. Although the beach is in walking distance, we choose to drive due to all our chairs and misc items. After a great day at the beach, we enjoyed the pool and fellow vacationers.

- [ ] The condo & it’s location were perfect however the horrible cust svc ruined what should have been a great trip. Padre Escapes has no idea what cust svc is, let alone good cust svc as proven by their rude and uncaring reps, Taylor, Gage and Taylor’s shift colleague who gave me the run around and eventually hung up on me TWICE. We chkd in on Wed afternoon & the rep was pleasant informing us ahead of time that the tv in the 2nd bdrm didn’t wk bc it needed a new cable. 2b del Thurs morning,maybe even Wed evening, yeah right ��.no cable so I called Thurs at lunchtime to inquire about the cable for the tv in the lil ones so we were not limited to sponge-bob 24/7. I was told the cable wire is a guest relations issue.this rep transferred me to the red sea of vm. Persistent, i called back & spoke with ms excuses who stated that they were busy & only had one person handling the guest relation calls, ��kinda shocking being spring break week but ok.Gave some hours for beach time and called back later in the evening but of course no guest relations at this time because after a busy day that one person must have needed some time at the beach himself or maybe some relaxing tv time with caillou. Somewhat Irritated now, I share my frustration of calling earlier multiple times, leaving a vm and crickets. Of course cust svc employee of the month, Taylor was not tolerating my complaining so she kindly hangs up on me.�� Of course more irritated I call back,�� & 2nd rude girl tells me that Taylor is busy writing up report indicating that I yelled & cursed at her to justify hangin up on me. UNTRUE bcuz my vocab is extensive enuf 2 relay my frustration without cursing.Day 3, Gage, the previous ref busy guest relations mgr who doesn’t return calls informed me that he was unable to fix the box. cou& this time Angelica came by&fixed the cable but no netflix.Next day they changed the code before Ckout thus locking us out of the condo. Owner tip, find another property mgr.

We at Padre Escapes take our guest reviews and comments very serious, and invested a couple of hours in data review and meetings to gather the most accurate of information to reply to your review comment. We were certainly disappointed to read your review but after researching your complaints it sounds to me like there was some miscommunication and exaggeration on what the issues were. The 75” TV in the guest bedroom was working fine. After speaking with Anjelica in our office, we learned you’re the issue was simply not having the TV on the right input. The Netflix not working was due to an estimated 10-12 of your family devices being logged onto the Wifi network at one time. This many devices on the same network will slow down the network and cause connection problems. The guest who arrived the day you checked out had no issues and we’ve gone back to confirm it’s still working properly since then as well. Also, this owner (or any of the other owners we represent) does not advertise or offer that Netflix or any other web based product will work as one might expect. Most guests visiting Village by the Beach are more interested in the sparkling/heated resort pool like the one right out the front door of this unit, and taking walks on the beach just a block away. This owner having 3 smart TV’s exceeds most people’s expectations. While you did have some very minor problems with 1 of the 3 TV's in this very popular unit, there are two other large screen, smart, HD TV's available in the unit so it should not have been that much of an inconvenience. There are also two full size video games for your use at no additional expense. This minor inconvenience definitely doesn’t justify a 2 out of 5-star review rating on, as you say, a "Wonderful Condo." I checked our call log, and no one hung up on you. You called into our after-hours answering service and when they put you on hold to call our on-call person when you hung up then called right back, all within 3 minu

The house was beautiful, prefect size for our family. It was a little chilly outside, however, the kids took full advantage of the heated pool.

We were very happy with the room. The room was clean and nicely appointed with everything we needed. We were particularly impressed with all the utensils and equipment in the kitchen, making it a truly fully stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable. The arcade games were a nice touch. The family was happy with the pool and we used it each day. We had easy access to the beach and were on it in about 5 minutes from our room by driving. The outside condition of the resort was incredible given that we visited roughly two weeks after Harvey. Checkin and checkout were seamless and the price was very affordable (we were in offseason). Overall, this room helped make our vacation very memorable, and I would not hesitate to use Padre Escapes again. One improvement could be better directions on how to use the TV and remotes. They were a bit confusing.

Every 3-5 years we get to make a trip to Padre Island... We have always used Padre Escapes and we will never use anyone else! The rental properties look just like the pictures you never have to question what you are really renting. It's amazing. See you next time!!!

We had a wonderful visit to North Padre Island and enjoyed every minute in this beautiful condo! It's located conveniently close to the beach, was clean and had a perfect layout for our family of five. The appliances are new and the decor is very "beachy." We loved the full-sized video games, although one of the two machines was not working during our stay, and the pool area was lovely and just steps away. We were thrilled with the property and whole-heartedly recommend it to others.

Loved the beach house. It had everything we needed. Was emaculate and comfortable. Arranged very well. Located right out front of the pool.
A few blocks from the beach, an easy walk. Since the apartment opened to the pool, there was no easy way to unpack and pack the car. But once we were settled, the stay was wonderful. For only a few days, I wish the pool hours could have been longer.

We had a wonderful stay at this location! It was very clean and well-maintained. We had no issues and everything was as advertised. Very family friendly property and location which suited our needs perfectly. We enjoyed many activities in the area including: USS Lexington, fishing at Bob Hall Pier, Horses on the Beach, Mustang Island State Park and Padre Island National Seashore. We had a wide range of ages in our group and this property and the activities suited us all. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Each unit is this resort is individually owned and managed. A luggage cart would be up to each owner to purchase and store. Luggage carts as you are talking about run in the range of $450 - $600. Due to the sizes of these carts and the limited closet and storage space in the units, the carts would be in site and in the way until needed upon departure. Because of the salt area and keeping these carts outside in a centralized area (if there was one available but there is not) the carts would being rusting immediately. Your past owner did provide you a new space-saving collapsible wagon waiting for you upon your arrival this year based upon your comment from last year. Sorry for any inconvenience not having such a cart but we wanted to respond to your review and look forward to your return next year.

Very clean and new, great decor. Had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing weekend with family. The kids were ecstatic about their room, Dad was just as excited about the arcades. Easy access to pool and a short walk/drive to beach. Lovely. The only negative I can think of mentioning is that the pool water was very irritating to the eyes.

This was truly one of the best setups for a vacation. And I've travelled far and wide. I live in Texas 23 years and this was the 1st TX beach vacation for me. These guys made me want to do it again THIS SUMMER AGAIN. Perfect location, beautiful condo, superb deco, very efficient everything I could need or want. The whole family really enjoyed this property. The retro games were a hit with the kids and we enjoyed afternoon and evening strolls to and from the beach using our wagon to carry a beach volleyball net and fishing poles.

At 7pm we turned the air down cold so the master bedroom would cool down for a pleasant night's sleep on the ultra comfortable beds.

The couch in the main living area was comfortable and pulled out into a queen size bed.
