Great location to the beach. Pool is huge and well “heated”. Condo was very clean. I’m always glad to have a washer and dryer while being at the beach. Felt very safe exercising around the property by myself.

The condo is very nice and clean. Loved the pool. The only drawback is the location. It says 5 minute walk to the beach. There is no beach in walking distance.

The rental was very nice, with more than plenty of space for 6 people. It was well supplied and had everything we needed. The plus is that the right outside your door. The only issue we had was that our room was not ready at check-in. But we were kept informed on status from Padre Escapes. Very responsive. Great stay!

This was our 4th stay at village by the beach. We love the location and the family friendly layout with the pool.

This unit, however, was by far the most unkempt of all the units we've stayed in. The concrete flooring is dirty and needs to be resurfaced. The area rug in the living room is very stained and dirty as well as the chair and couch covers. There was hair in the refrigerator and other spots where housekeeping cut corners.

It was a shame because we love coming to village by the beach, but this unit felt subpar compared to the others we've stayed in.

This is our third time staying at this complex (first time at this particular condo). We love the location, close to the beach and the pool is always fun. BUT this rental needs some updates. The springs in the sofa make some serious noises, it’s very worn out and uncomfortable to sit on. The white armchair needs a new slipcover as there are some very obvious stains everywhere and overall looks filthy. The living room rug was also visibly stained; we tried to vacuum it and during our attempt to clean it we saw the underside and I wish we hadn’t. It was just so disgusting. I wish I could attach pictures. We eventually rolled the rug out of the way since we have a crawling baby that we didn’t want touching it and called management for sheets and blankets to cover both couches. It’s just so disappointing to pay so much money for those conditions as it left a really bad initial impression.

The rest of the condo was clean and we had a great time.

We really enjoyed our condo! It was just the right size for our family and the kids were in the pool daily. Nice and close to the beach, you could walk if you didn’t have to lug a bunch of beach stuff with you. It was mainly clean, the only reason I gave a 3 on cleanliness was that the floors were dirty still. They looked clean, but my feet got dirty walking on it. That’s to be expected I guess with a constant flow of beach sand in there though. The kitchen was decently stocked, but I thought they should have some basics on hand (salt/pepper/cooking oil or spray) maybe I’m just used to Airbnb whos kitchens are usually stocked with seasonings. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. The property was well taken care of and the kid splash areas all were functioning. I would definitely stay again and bring friends to stay too.

There were roaches and spiders and I literally got rushed out of my unit i felt like I didn't get enough time to check out even though I was supposed to have complimentary 12 check out I had to change kids and feed a 3 month old outside of the unit and do my make up outside im hardly a morning person so this was the worse waking up and rushing around ever I hate rushing around in the morning I got 7 kids 10 and younger but the 3 youngest 1,2, and 3 months so its hard getting up and getting them going

The reason you were unable to get a later check out from our typical check out time of 11AM is because we had another renter arriving same day so we wanted to be sure to have it ready for the incoming guest. This was our 3rd visit to Village By The Beach .. always been a fantastic experience, however this time we used a different unit and was disappointed.. the furniture was very used, broke down and stained .. beds were very uncomfortable as well as quality of the pillows provided ..otherwise everything was great!
Always enjoy our time here but we will be striking this unit from our future list ..

We loved our beach house! It literally had everything we needed and was so close to the beach and the market, we didn’t have to leave the area unless we wanted to! The house was clean and orderly, and we really appreciated that staff left some kitchen essentials behind. 10/10 would rent again!

The communication between owner and renter is superb, no issues whatsoever with check in, check out, even with an issue with a dirty sofa. Security on the property, pool access, smart tvs, super clean.
The only thing I would say is that the sleeper sofa is super uncomfortable, maybe an over the mattress topper would really help.

Condo was nice, however the patio was flooding every morning due to broken sprinkler head and was making patio a muddy mess. Lots of kids at pool, so great place for families not so much for all adults. Don't bother with the insurance it does not cover cancellation for inclement weather unless the road to get there is closed for 6 hours or more! lol

This was our third unit in the Village By The Beach complex. It’s definitely the most well equipped unit we’ve been in so far. We prefer the single level units without stairs. This kitchen had everything I needed to cook for 2-8 people. Dressers in both bedrooms had nice storage. Decor was done well without being to much. There are two wood tables pushed together in the dining area with 8 matching benches for seating larger groups. All appliances worked well for us, too. Upon arrival, the painted cement floors were a difficult surprise to deal with. After contacting Padre Escapes, the owner approved the purchase of a new area rug for the living room. Then I purchased a large entry rug and brought our used bathroom rugs from home. There were a couple of small throw rugs in a closet. I requested a new mop for the floors and new toilet bowl brushes and shower curtain liners. I received all requests the next day. After mopping the floors and washing the smaller rugs, I placed all them on the cement floor throughout the condo with much better results for a home-away-from-home feel.

The condo was cute and updated. Super close to the beach and pool was just outside our door. The pots and pans need to be updated. Had a real issue with everything sticking and burning when we cooked. I was a learning curve but we pressed on. Beds are comfy and rooms are super spacious.

We stayed in this same condo last year. I was more impressed with this condo then. This year we did enjoy our neighbors and the pool (it was outstanding!) The location is excellent. But we wasted some of our time on maintenance that should have been done before we arrived. The condo floor was sticky in places. I cleaned the washing machine due to an odor. The WIFI didn’t work. The condo had roaches. The “palm tree” in the living area needs to be replaced. The water filter in the fridge needed to be replaced, and the broken shelf that I had reported last year was still sitting on top of the refrigerator still broken. If it had been maintained better this year, our stay would have been improved. Hopefully your next guests will benefit from our attention

Really enjoyed our stay. Condo had well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and closely located to beach- drive two blocks to parking lot for wheelchair access ramp, with front porch overlooking the pool area. Ground level so perfect for my elderly Mom and she could people watch from porch.

Although the condo was nice itself we did not like the fact that the pool area was horribly managed, People had personal bbq pits right by the pool near water, kids were floating literally in the pool with pool chaise loungers!!! Beer cans were left everywhere and in the pool itself . We did not let our kids go in pool when we wish they could have .

We had a great experience with Village by the Beach - we arrived close to 4:00 (check in time) and the crew even had washed a chair cover that was stained before letting us in- we didnt even notice or care about the chair- everything was neat, clean, and had everything we needed! Great location, nice pool. Perfect size for my family of 3. Master bathroom shower-very little water pressure. Master bedroom-mattress had a plastic cover over, which made it uncomfortable and loud. Reminded me of a toddler bed mattress. 2nd bathroom had good water pressure. Kitchen was pretty well stocked with place settings.

The great staff of Padre Escapes went above and beyond to describe our location, amenities and quality of our accommodations. The property was very nice and any maintenance was attended to expeditiously. The property was kept clean with regular maintenance to the pool, BBQs, and grounds. I would highly recommend this property for consideration to rent. The only reason we are not returning to this property is that we had previously committed to a different vacation. I would recommend update to the living room furniture. The beds are great for quality and comfort. An extra special thank you to Padre Escapes Staff- keep those wonderful personalities. I will miss you. Taylor, Emily and Heather, are second to none.

From Houston and not a fan of Galveston but wanted to do the beach before summer was over. We really enjoyed the beach very clean and happy that we could see our feet in the water not like Galveston. Condo was very nice and clean we plan on booking another trip this coming year. Kids had a blast no regrets on last minute trip.

The condo’s location was very good. The beach was only about 2 blocks away. Also, the pool was heated, clean, and enjoyable. I was disappointed with the pots and pans. They were in need of replacements. The Teflon was extremely scratched which is very unhealthy. Even though I brought it to their attention, they refused to replace , however, they promptly replaced my damaged coffee pot. In addition, there was only one set of sheets for beds, towels were scarce and the furniture in the living room was very uncomfortable. Since we flew, it would have nice to have a couple of beach chairs available toguests. I have rented many winter properties much better supplied. The kitchen was well supplied.

Unit was very nice but thermostat was broken when we arrived. It was quite cold when we arrived (December)and there was no heat in the unit. Management did have it fixed within a couple hours. We also had some bugs in the Master Bed. We think they came out from the decorative large pillows on the bed. They should be washed. We let management know when we checked out.

The condo was beautiful and plenty of room for our family. For the majority of our stay we house 6 adults very comfortably. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location along side the pool was perfect. I would love to see the owner add some hooks outside on the patio for wet towels and bathing suits. We would stay here again.

Was not what I would call walking distance for small kids(to the beach), but it was close. The place was nice-clean. Beds were a bit firm to my liking, but ok.

We loved the condo and will try to book it for future trips to the coast. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Its location and amenities were perfect for our family. We spent the morning at the beach, early afternoons relaxing while the kids napped, and the rest of the day in the large pool.

There was a small plumbing issue when we arrived, but it was promptly handled by the management company. The management company also has an efficient process for check-ins and check-outs using emails and texts. They made that part of the trip super simple and hassle-free.

The weekend that I was scheduled to rent this vacation home didn't start off well for me. Having caught a flat tire on my way to Corpus Christi, I was concerned because I had another party meeting me there. The staff of Padre Escapes were very understanding and cooperative in allowing my friend to check in without me...this way she didn't have to find a place in town to hang out during my delay. I was highly impressed when I finally arrived, as were my children. The location couldn't be better, the pool was amazing and right next to the rental property, ...the decor was done on a very classy manner, everything was clean, kitchen fully stocked...the list goes on. All this, and at a great price! And check out?! Wow! A simple tap on a link sent to my phone!!! I'll definitely be utilizing and recommending this place again!

Overall a great rental, it's practically brand new. Rental home was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The stained concrete floor was nice with the sand. The pool was excellent for young kids. The beach was close enough to walk but has driveable entrances blocks away. WiFi works but don't plan to watch TV and download/upload on the internet at the same time.

We had a fabulous time! The two units we rented were beautiful, clean and comfortable.
The pool was right outside our units which made for easy access. The pool and children's pool was beautiful and clean.
Beach access was great. Just drove around the corner and there it was! Could walk but was better for my elderly mother.
