The rental is in a great location and was clean. However the knives in the kitchen are very dull and would shread everything I tried to cut. Also the water pressure in the shower was horrible. The showers at the beach park did a better job at washing sandy hair than the shower at the rental. Something needs to be done about it.

Unit was great as always but the complex needs attendance: people blaring not child appropriate music at the pool, toss fireballs between puddle pool & the larger pool hogging the space and posing hazard to the little ones, etc. Can’t imagine what’s it’s like on the weekends; I sure wouldn’t pay a premium to stay closer to the pool. Moreover, one of the rental golf carts parking in the guest space next to me essentially committed hit & run and causing damage to my vehicle bumper...

We had a great time at our vacation rental. Plenty of space for 6 people. It was very clean. The manager was very prompt in responding to any and all questions we had. Check in/out was fantastic. The pool was very nice. The beach was easily accessible by car or it was a very short walk. We will definitely go back.

The rental was in a good location and clean and with 3 full bathrooms it made showering after beach time easy with a family of 4. The appliances are older and could be felt in their usage. For example, the dryer took forever to dry the load of laundry that we did and the refrigerator seems to be on its way out. When we first arrived we had a hard time getting in the door, but with the helpful rental staff just a phone call away it was our user error and we got right in. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

The stay was okay. Spent a lot of money to have to go and buy a skillet, cake pan and small utensils needed. What was in the unit was something I would not put my food in. The drawer fell out of the stove when opened, no oven light, the burners were not level, oven temperature was not regulated correctly. One frying pan, and 1 large pan and 1 small pan, pizza pan were good. Winter Texans stay there and it is our home. Very poorly furnished. Bed was good. Refrigerator quit working but it started up again when plugging it into the other outlet. Told the office and was told the owner would be contacted. Never heard anything back. Condo needs window coverings that don't let light in. We are booked for next winter but in a different unit.

This condo was wonderful. It was fully stocked with everything you need. It faces the pool but was never noisy. Pool was always clean. Pool bands were available but not enforced. Close to the beach and an easy drive there. Office staff was always friendly. I would recommend this complex and this condo.

Overall we had a great stay! A few glitches but management company was right on it. The unit was decorated beachy. Nice clean sheets and towels. Great to have a washer in unit Very comfortable for grandparents and two grandkids. Super roomy and good location. Not quite walkable to beach but a quick drive. Only complaint was there was a note about how they did not make top bunk beds. As an elderly couple we found this unacceptable. Isn’t that why you hire housekeepers? Unit could also use some hooks for swimsuits, towels, etc.

Village by the Beach I921K Was the prefect spot for our last minute getaway. On whitecap beach near the Packery channel, we could head down to the beach or make a quick drive to the channel for some fishing. The home was the prefect size for our family of five. It was very clean and comfortable. And walking oh distance to the beach

This was a great location to the beach and local stores, restaurants. We really enjoyed the pool area so spacious and not to crowded. The only recommendations I would have to say about the property is please REPLACE the mattresses and box springs in all the bedding. I honestly felt like we we're sleeping on Flintstone bed rocks. They creaked so much and so uncomfortable. The bedroom lacks better lighting. The sofa furniture is outworn and poorly maintained. Overall experience unhappy not sleeping comfortably. Inspections should be done consistently to determine replacement of furniture and bedding. Be wary of this unit quality of furniture and bedding.

I would recommend to a friend if the the issues stated are addressed.

Was extremely pleased with all the information provided by Padre Escapes about the unit, etc. It made checking in and out extremely stress-free and I felt that if I needed anything I could easily contact them. The unit was clean, great location near the beach but also being able to park directly in front of the unit was great! As much as we loved the unit over-all, we would not stay here again because of the horrible, squeaky mattress. If I had read previous reviews, I would of not stayed there. Even if you tried to sit on the bed it made a loud squeaky noise. Not sure if its the mattress, a cover on the box springs or what, but it made it near impossible to sleep as you couldn't turn over without waking up the person next to you. Hopefully this will be addressed as the unit is great other than that.

We had a very nice stay at this location. We've stayed in this complex before and would do so again. It's clean, close to the beach, and has a great layout. Note, the buildings look similar and have the same numbers on their units, you have to pay attention to the street your unit is on - and the street was missing its sign. We went by 2 other units in buildings across the way, that were occupied and had the same unit number. It was a little weird.

It was hard to find the right building because there’s no street name. I was trying to open a different unit with same number. Didn’t know there’s same number condos on different streets. After that everything was wonderful. Clean with everything needed.

Yes this complex will share the same unit number and the street names will confirm the condo you are staying in. The street names are located on the stop sign at the end of the "street" . Our 2 night stay was very enjoyable. The unit was clean, check in was smooth and location great! We walked to the beach and saved the $12/day for car parking.
The reservation notes did say to bring beach towels which we did but the kitchen is completely stripped! Not even salt!
Otherwise our stay was great!
\One other note, please be sure and check what level the unit is! Ours was on the 3rd floor and no elevator! Also, I know this is not connected to the unit, but the hallways leading to the unit, were dirty and full of pet hair clumps.
The management staff was resposive but at times a bit unprofessional. We received a text from them asking if we bring a boat trailer. No signature, saying who the text is from, no explanation where the trailer boat will go,and the number was unknown to us. We thought it was spam.
The AC maintenance request we had handled ok.

Condo was great. The AC vents in the kitchen had black mold on it and when I arrive the balcony had sand on it look like it wasn't swept for a while other than that stay was good

The condo is wonderful. It has a huge living area, bedroom, and balcony. From the bedroom window you have a nice view of the beach and from the balcony you overlook the pool. The only complaint is since it sits above the office we were contacted a couple of times to get access to a closet that's in the stair well to enter the condo. All in all it's a great place.

The vacation rental was nice. It was fairly clean and had the space we needed (2 adults, 2 children). We would rent there again. The bed was extremely squeaky! I saw that in the reviews previously. Didn’t think much of it form the reviews, but it was really annoying.

Overall, the condo rental was great. During the first night, the stove and cable tv was found not working. However, after making a call to the after hours service, the two problems were properly addressed within 1 hour of notification. Loved the one bedroom and bunks. Only drawback was the extremely noisy king bed which sounded like getting on an air mattress and the pull out couch bed pad was thin where the support bars underneath were felt. Location to the beach was great and the youth pool area was great. For the price and amenities, this place is a bargain! Will definitely visit the property again for future vacations!

This cozy condo was exactly as described. Very serene feel, relaxing, homey. It was also nicely updated. The heated saltwater pool was wonderful, and the hot tub was very nice too, but needed a little bit of cleaning. The only complaint about the interior was the shower head was a little hard to use lol, but Im really nitpicking here. Overall a great stay.

This unit is on the corner and is nicely decorated. My only complaints are: a/c unit is outside the master bedroom and is very loud, TV in master bedroom doesn't work, King size bed in master is hard and the box springs are loud, the front door is hard to open(needs repair), shower curtain rod is not attached to the wall. I had a nice stay in this unit, but would probably choose another one next time.

Overall a nice place with plenty of space. Although stated extra cleaning was done. There were a few spots missed. We cleaned no issue. Kitchen is very dated with pots and pans not so great. I know on most vacations it isn’t an issue but for me It was as I cook daily. With rest of house pretty well updated the kitchen and bathroom cabinets clearing showed their age.
Coffee pot was aged but did a pot of coffee in about 15 minutes. There was a kurig option but with a large group not economical for us.
The furnishings were Updated beach rustic so everyone liked that. Having a bbq outback was great as didn’t need to bring ours or find one to grill. Back Neighbors were close.
Only Parking is garage is a nice feature but tight; two of three vehicles would not fit. Parked on street no problem but upset one neighbor quite a lot when we packed for the beach as we had to park in front of garage. Also no disabled parking anywhere. So was a bit challenging with our elder family and disabled vet. However, we managed.
Upstairs master needs curtains on French doors as no privacy. Upstairs balcony Was very nice to have.
We would recommend this to others.

Unit is very spacious for 2 people and could comfortably accommodate up to 4 if it's not all adults. Check-in & checkout process extremely easy. Location is perfect if you want to be near the water. The beach is about a block away and you can easily trek on foot or drive your vehicle. Swimming pool is a few steps away from the unit on the other side of the parking lot. Beautiful pool and is why I reserved here because all other pool pictures of facilities in the area looked much smaller & just "OK." Pool area has plenty of seating and tables. Charcoal grills scattered around that we didn't use, but did see a few families utilize. Parking for the unit is right at the front door, so we liked that. Plenty of lighting for the porch and that was a plus. I found the decorations for the unit to be nice and simple. Plenty of kitchenware if you want to cook/eat in. Fridge has a icemaker which was extremely handy for beach/pool days. Coffeemaker is ity bity. My cons: master bed is extremely loud. It is like lying down on a board covered w/bubble wrapped styrofoam that crunches at every move. It was annoying. There is ONE hook in the entire unit that you can hang something, and it is in one of the bedroom closets. It's a beach rental, but you have no where to hang wet towels and swimwear-- not even in the bathroom!! We had wet items draped all over the chairs, doors and bunkbed rails which I found to be silly. There are stains on the living room chairs and when we arrived I did a walk-through and found stains on the decór pillows in the bedroom. I was disgusted and glad I hadn't brought my blacklight. There was dust on the corner wall of the bedroom, little crystal rocks scattered on the corner floor of the bedroom, and dust fuzz in various areas of the living room. Indications to me that no real cleaning had been done. It is a nice unit and I would rent again, but I would bring my own sheets, blankets, bath towels, and hooks the next time around.

Love, love, love our condo stay. It was close to the beach, Texas State Aquarium, Turtle Rescue Center and other fun things. Our only complaint was the mattress in the master bedroom. It was hard and makes a crunchy sound when barely touched. Other than that, we had a great time and will definitely return soon.

Loved this condo! Spacious and beautiful with just about everything we needed to survive vacay. Floor could have been cleaned better and the water pressure from the kitchen sink was less than desirable. I realize it’s a beach house so the floor is bound to get dirty but we had an 8 month old crawling around and her shirts and knees would get filthy from the floor. Other than that it was a fantastic place to get away and we would totally stay here again ��

Padre Escapes absolutely does all they can to make one's stay comfortable. The response to even the smallest thing (light bulbs) is quick and professional. The condo was in great condition. The only thing that would make the furnishings better is either a recliner or an ottoman.

The property was exactly as described. Very well supplied. Padre Escapes was very helpful and accommodating. The unit was supposed to have a hair dryer. We couldn't find 1 in the unit. I called Padre and they were there at the door within an hour with a brand new hair dryer.

The Village at the Beach was clean, convienent, and relaxing. Excellent. Loved the space and the no-hassle check in/out system. I booked my stay there through a third party (well recognized hotel chain) vendor instead of Padre Escapes and later learned I paid more than I could have if I booked directly with Padre, but I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the kids loved, loved, LOVED the
kiddie pool! I highly recommend booking a vacation here through Padre Escapes!

Loved the beach decor for this unit! However there were a few things that we didn’t like. The sofa bed was broken, & too uncomfortable to sleep in that we had to just sleep on the couch. The master bedroom bed was extremely uncomfortable & made a lot of noise with even the slightest move. Very few to no utensils, & there was only 2 towels for our family of 6 which we found an to be inconvenience... the unit was very spacious & loved the added square footage but will not stay at this unit again. We throughly enjoyed the 14914 Village Beach dr instead since it had everything we needed, plenty of utensils, towels, sleeps 7 & had added square footage as well.

Thank you for your feedback. We do stock additional towels in the master bedroom closet as well as on the foot of every bed. Our overall experience was very good. Convenient parking directly outside the front door for easy unpacking. For a 1 bedroom, all the space was utilized well and it worked for our family of 4. We would definitely go back!

Our family had an amazing time at our stay at The Village By The Beach. Their condos are absolutely amazing and fully equipped for your needs. Our 4yr old and 9yr old absolutely loved the bunk beds. We went on vacation to spend time on the beach But I honestly believe we spent the most time in the luxury of our room and by their Amazing pool. My boys did not want to leave. We will be returning before this summer ends and for many summers to come.

We had a great stay at this condo with plenty of room to sit and dine (we had 4 in our group). The bbq grill is right outside the condo and the pool is close. The beach is an easy walk if you don't have a lot of stuff to bring or you can drive.
I do have a few items that were bothersome but we managed..The bed was soooo loud to sit on and getting in and out. It wasn't sqeeky but a loud crunchy noise I slept on the couch to avoid waking my husband as I toss n turn a lot.
Kitchen can use some important additional items:
CAN OPENER (we had to cut open a can with a knife) BOTTLE OPENER for wine.
LARGER PAN (had to cut bacon to cook)
COOKIE SHEET condo only had a brownie pan I had to cook biscuits in batches
and maybe a plastic platters to bring out to the BBQ
we made due but the first night we ate late as we arrived in the evening so we could not go by an opener and it took longer to cook breakfast with limited items. We will be and hopefully the condo will have additional needed items that most condos already have.

Good 2 months rental. Clean unit and all equipment worked. Living room furniture should be cleaned but all beds were very comfortable. Close enough to beach to walk to. Weather in January and February not the best.

Considering Corpus Christi had an unusually cold winter, we were unable to enjoy the beach or beautifully heated pool due to the off and on drizzle and rain during our 5 day stay.On a lighter note we were able to visit with family and friends which was priceless. Our condo was so cute and beachie as shown in the photos.We were able to have our friend over for dinner, plenty of seating and space to accommodate.Although we were unable to swim during our stay the pool view from the patio was absolutely stunning at night. We ate at Docs on the island and their seafood was delicious! Also checked out Corpus Christi beach and ate at Pier 99 one of our favorite go to's everytime we visit Corpus.We would definitely like to come back possibly spring break

Wonderful stay! Just as beautiful as the pictures. Easy check in and very professional. Great location between the water and stores. The bunk beds are bigger thean appear which was great considering the one room. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness. And would defiantly recommend this condo.

The place was very clean and nice. Great location. My only complaint is about the bed in the master bedroom. It was probably the most uncomfortable bed I have slept on in my entire life! After the first night, my husband slept on the couch (not sofa bed - those are always uncomfortable) and I slept on one of the bunk beds. Other than the bed, everything else was great.

We had a great time! Very clean condo! Little BBQ pit right outside. Bunk beds were big enough for teenagers. The living room was much bigger than expected. I do not know much about the island - but seems to be in a growing area. Most the surrounding properties are all new and just as clean. 2 parking spaces reserved right outside the door. Great pool just around the corner - all pictures of the property are a good reflection of the property. Beach is about a 30 second drive, 5 minute walk. We drove everyday and parked right on beach. One day we drove to the national park and had a good time, but the beach right there is just as good and less crowded.

This was perfect for our family of four! I am very picky about cleanliness, and this place passed the test. Condo was very spacious, clean and comfotable. Walking distance to beach was awesome! My husband and 10 yr old love to drive over, set up and hang at the beach all day, so me and my teen could walk back and forth when we were ready. Complex had nice pool and grills. These are one story condos surrounded by 2-3 story condos. I usually prefer a view, but all the positives here greatly outweighed a view.

The Rental Unit was comfortable, except for the lighting in the bedroom & Bathroom. Needed brighter lights to see to get dressed & apply makeup.
Bed Mattress was wonderful.
I enjoyed eating at MM on Bob Hall Pier and Broklyn Pizza Co & beaching at National Seashore. Pools were nice & great for the children. Need security, as Cooler was taken out of my sons pickup one night.

First time venture to Village By The Beach. We usually stay closer to Mustang Island/Port Aransas. We were skeptical and once we pulled in and entered the condo, wow. The layout of the property was neat and clean and user friendly. All duplex style condos, one floor layout. No stairs to climb and two parking spaces right in front of your door. Love it.
Next, the floor plan of the 1-1 sleeps 5 comfortable. I have 3 daughters and the 2 youngest love the bunk bed cove, my eldest daughter is a sofa sleeper. My wife and I had plenty of room in the master. All the amenities are in the kitchen, open style for you to cook while your kids sit at the bar to ask you what's cooking.
The pool area is very nice size but could be slightly bigger for the amount of condos there but for the most part very nice for the kids.
Beach Access was perfect, short walk or 30 second drive to pick your spot on the clean beach and stay all day. If I needed to make a run back to the condo, 30 seconds to grab whatever, it was awesome.
The location is near gas stations, stores, and restaurants if you wanted to take a short drive after a day at the beach.
We loved our stay and we loved it so much we made reservations to stay again in July.

The condo was clean, pleasantly furnished & seemed spacious for a 1 BR rental. It doesn't have a poolside patio, but those condos that are by the pool have inconvenient parking not near the rental entrance. The only problem was there are no bedside lamps beside the master bed or by the bunk beds, which is fine for people with Kindles/Nooks, but not for the rest of us...

Only thing that was an issue was the water pressure. The kitchen faucet had no stream that was good for washing or even rinsing.

We are a senior couple, stayed 10 days here. It is close to the beach, a number of restaurants and groceries around. We liked JB German bakery. Awesome.

This is a brand new unit! Very nice! Very clean! We stayed in late September, during the week, so it was very quiet. We basically had the pool to ourselves. Pool was very nice. Unit is walking distance to beach. Great stay,! Highly recommend!

Overall rental was very good. Unit was clean and everything was just as pictured. We were very comfotable. We used the pool and hot tub (very nice) but spent most of our time at beach. Beach is walking distance, but we drove since you can park right on the beach. It wasn't an issue for us, but be aware unit is on 3rd floor and only option is stairs. Only small complaint was very dirty/moldy air vent in bedroom.
