This is our third time to stay in this condo. It is very well decorated, is clean, and the kitchen is well stocked. It would be my favorite condo but it needs blackout curtains badly. The outside complex lights shine in the windows and it appears to be daylight in the middle of the night. If you are sensitive to light this is not the place for you. We cover the windows with foil during our stay.

This is our second time staying at Vitamin C. It’s a very cute condo with a comfortable bed and everything you need. My only complaint, just as before, it really needs blackout curtains. The complexes lights shine right into the unit making the bedroom appear daylight at night. This issue doesn’t prevent me from staying in the unit but I will admit that I do not sleep very well. It is extremely close to the beach and the unit is clean.

We had a great time - unit was clean and met our needs. Wld like to suggest that the bath/shower receive some attention as there was mold and the popcorn ceilings need some attention. The pigeons also figured out how to get around the spikes on the balcony so made a mess there - for these minor items I am only giving a 4star rating for condition of unit

We had a great 3 days at the coast. We've stayed in Beach Club condos several times and have never been disappointed. The only complaint is the tv, it's so complicated, even my millennial son couldn't figure it out. A few instructions may help.

The condo was cute and clean. It was everything you would need for a beach get away. I would say that we didn’t sleep well due to the flood lights from the complex and lack of blackout curtains. It appeared to be daylight all throughout the night. If you are not sensitive to light when you sleep then it would be a great rental.

We have stayed in this particular unit before and it was very nice. I was a little disappointed because the pull-out bed was broken. It did not in any way ruin our vacation. I have been renting from Padre Escape for over 10 years and this is the 1st time we were a little disappointed, but in no way would it deter us from renting from them again.

The rental itself was fine, great location! Had everything we needed. The rental company on the other hand was not great. I requested a noon checkin, I know that's early,and they could have said no upfront. But they sent the contract for me to sign with a noon check in time. Turns out they don't care about that contract and don't guarantee your check in time. So we got there at noon and couldn't get into the rental. Not a great way to start off your vacation.

Close to the beach - clean - nice for a couple or small family. Hide a bed is ok for a child but not good for an adult. Pool is clean and well maintained ! Parking is very small- we have a large truck and called to park in a different spot and told to parked in an unmarked spot. We got a note saying it was not allowed so we backed into our assigned spot and blocked the building stairs .

there was an issue with the CO/smoke detecter chirping when we arrived and the management sat deemed it not worthy to deal with that night . to be clear the chirping was in the bedroom and would have driven us to leave for a hotel for the night but my husband pulled batteries out. Had it been the detecter on the ceiling in the living room he would not have been able to reach it.

Only some minor negative details: dirty floor (my kids blue socks turned brown ew)
The pullout is very uncomfortable... the mattress itself is great but the metal bar puses against your back, my poor kids had to sleep on it 3 nights.
Would not recommend if you plan to stay with 3-4 adults or teenage kids- very small and uncomfortable couch, but great for our family of 2 adults and 2 small kids

Although everything in the unit/complex pictures is there, the pictures make everything seem at least 25% bigger than it actually is. As a fitness person, the 'fitness center' was poor. More of a room than a center. For long term renters, some additional TP, garbage bags and cleaning products would be nice. I know that it's stated that a renter will need to go shopping beyond initial setup items, buying these items even in small quantities/sizes means you're going to have to either throw must away or drag them home. The unit/complex is very quiet and located close to the beach, shopping and entertainment/restaurants. Out of control of the complex, but the weather, constant clouds and WIND, not my thing. Regarding 'would you recommend', probably not, but that's very personal.

First we've heard of "pictures are deceiving" but we feel they are accurate. We recently had new ones shot to make sure they display the property correctly. We do supply a starter supply of items as you stated and weather is not something we have any control over. Thank you for the feedback.

Unit Could do with an upgrade (couch & chairs were dated.) Lots of dishes/glasses etc. Could have used more towels 2 bath towels & 1 hand towel is not enough for 2 people

Thank you for your feedback. That's the first complaint we've heard on the furniture, we will pass it along to the owners. There are additional towels and wash cloths in the master bedroom closet, we also provide additional towels upon request and there is a washer and dryer in the unit as well. My husband and I visited North Padre Island for our Honeymoon. We had a great time, and this awesome condo was part of that. The location is fantastic. Walking distance to Whitecap Beach and the Boathouse Restaurant and Bar. If you are driving on the beach, it may take you at most 1 minute to get out of your parking space and be on the sand.
The island has quite a few great restaurants a very short drive from the NOT miss Padre Island Burger Co.
The condo itself is bright, cheery and very clean. The pictures are a perfect representation. Pretty much everything you could need is already stocked, with enough of "starter" amounts of washing detergent, tp, dish soap etc. to get you thru several days. The HEB Plus across the intracoastal bridge on the mainland is the nearest grocery store, but it is a short, scenic drive.
The bed is and couch are comfortable,and the decorative chairs in the living room are surprisingly comfortable as well.
While many of the finishes wouldn't be considered "luxury", everything has been updated and is very acceptable for a week at the beach.
The only thing I would suggest is bringing a plug-in air freshener or automatic spray etc. The condo building itself was built in 1989, and even though there isn't smoking allowed anymore, I thought it smelled like a hotel room at first...a little musty and smoky. It dissipated over time, plus we had the balcony door open most of the time (great view from there and super nice to enjoy in the morning).
We will definitely be looking to stay here again!! Padre Escapes (the management company) was great as well!

We stayed at Vitamin Sea June 21-24, 2016 and were very pleased! It was a very nice condo, located right by the beach!!! For our family of three, this condo was the perfect size!!! If I had to make one complaint, it would be that the bed is pretty hard...other than that, we were happy!!! We would definitely stay here again!!!

We were there for a month and had a very nice stay. The location was perfect for us with the beach being so close. The room was just like the pictures showed it and the description was very accurate. The condo had everything we needed. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The manager showed us the inside of the condo before we booked it. Since we were going to stay a month we wanted to look it over before we booked it. They were very nice and were a pleasure to work with. That was the only time we talked with the manager and never talked to the owner. The view was very good and all the fixtures in the condo were in good shape and clean. We spent most of our time walking the beach and did not use the pool, hot tub or exercise room. But they were all clean and well maintained. Restaurants were close by and had a nice variety to choose from.

Great little place for a short weekend for two. Good location, clean, nice resort style condo. Little disappointed the bed was only a queen and felt worn in. Also no DVD player? We wanted to watch movies at night but did not have the option. Overall nice place, would stay again- very quiet, nice for couples.

This was the second time we've stayed in a condo in this area, and this was the best by far. The unit was clean, had all the comforts of home and only 2 blocks from Padre Island national seashore. We especially liked that the pool & hot tub were open late so we could go for a late night swim in the pool, then end the night with a warm soak in the hot tub

Beautiful condo with plenty of kitchenware. Queen mattress and sofa bed were sooo comfy! The beach chairs, wagon and board games were a great find. Wish we could of used the balcony, but there were too many mosquitos. Plenty of kitchen and bathroom storage + walk-in closet. Beautiful pool with rinse off area. Well equipped gym. Drawbacks were: no dressers so be prepared to live out of your suitcase, empty salt & pepper shakers, and empty soap dispenser in kitchen.

We were really impressed with this condo! It was in a perfect location, close to the beach. Just buy a beach parking permit for $12 and head to the beach about a block away. The condo had everything you could possibly need. They give you laundry detergent even! The management company were really nice and replied to us immediately when someone was parked in a reserved parking place. We would give it 5 stars, but being on the second floor, we could hear everything from the people upstairs and downstairs. However, at 10 each night, it was quiet the rest of the night. We will definitely come back as it was super clean and had everything you could possibly need. We loved our stay!

Stayed for 3 nights in this nice and newly remodeled condo. One block away from the beach. The condo has ever thin you need from beach chairs to folding wagon to carry everything you need to the pool and/or beach. The pool was big with 3 BBQ areas along with another by the pond. Some people were fishing there as well. I was very satisfied with the place. Clean new and modern. Will stay again. ??????????

We enjoyed our stay at Vitamin Sea. Everything was clean and fresh when we arrived. We were a little surprised that there was no elevator. We stayed on the 2nd floor and our friends on the 3rd. We were all healthy and able to walk up the stairs so it was no problem, but it was a pain to bring up our beach chairs, huge ice chests and all of our beach stuff at the end of every day. I don't remember seeing that there was not an elevator in the listing. The cable went out in the room (and throughout the complex) soon after we arrived, but Time Warner was there repairing it immediately and it was back up quickly. The only other thing I would mention is that the hot tub and pool could have been cleaner. I know with the sand and oils that it is probably hard to keep clean, but it would be nice to have seen a sparkling, clean pool each day. Oh, and it would have been nice for the property to have a water hose available near where you come back to your building so you could rinse off your beach sand before going up to your room. Overall, our condo was awesome, so cute and well decorated and very well maintained. I would definitely stay again and recommend it.
