Excellent Rental

Every summer I rent a vacation rental for my grandsons and I. Grandma and grandsons get away! This location and rental was were great. Two blocks from beach, convenient parking, great pool and the rental was clean, well stocked with supplies, everything worked in the rental and unlike other rentals, this unit was updated with beach decor and updated appliances. The location was behind the pool so it was very quiet and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Our favorite condo!

Everything was so clean, well maintained, and as always had everything we needed there! The layout of the condo is so nice, a big living room with plenty of seating, the kids love the bunk beds in the hallway, and a LARGE isolated master that holds a pack n play without compromising how you get in bed. The pool is the nicest and our favorite of all the condos we’ve stayed in. We’ve stayed there a few times before and will continue to stay there in the future!

Cozy and Comfortable Condo

The condo was very clean upon check in. The bed was comfortable. There are plenty of drawers and closet space. The location is great--quick walk to the beach. This condo is on a quiet end of the complex.
Padre Escapes is easy to book with. We have used them for several years and it has always been a positive experience. If an issue does arise, they are quick to respond.

Location

The location is perfect to go to the beach or enjoy the heated on site pools. We enjoyed our short stay and wish we could’ve stayed longer. The rental was overall clean; the pull out couch is the only complaint on cleanliness. The blinds in the bedroom do not go all the way down and let lots of light in, bring a sleep mask if you plan to sleep in. We would stay here again.

Everything about this rental was perfect! It was clean, spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated/designed without being overly "beachy". Plenty of bath towels, pillows and blankets provided for our stay. Wifi worked well, along with everything else. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Family beach trip

We had a great time. The rental was very clean. The tub was slow to drain and the dishwasher had a foul smell, but other than that it was great. Maybe place a picture of the layout of the property in the rental.

Village by the Beach I919K

We had a great time at this rental - our kids enjoyed the pool very much and the beach is only a short walk from the property. The staff was very helpful and friendly, they helped us find the rental house, when we arrived. The property was very clean and exactly as pictured on the photos - one thing to mention is related to the TV in the living room, which starts turning off and back on every 30 seconds during its warm up time (~20 mins) that can be quite annoying when you are stuck in the house on a rainy day. Also, an extra night stand and a bedside lamp would be a nice addition to the bedroom. Otherwise we would recommend this place for families with kids...and hopefully the playground renovations will be done soon, bc it was closed the whole time we were there.

Amazing stay!

Our rental was exactly as it looked in the pictures. Very clean, enough supplies to get us by until we went to the store. Close to the beach, quiet area, and the beds were comfortable which is a huge plus! We loved our stay! Only negative feedback is the ceiling fan in the bedroom might want to be checked, it sounded like it wanted to take flight at times :-)

Much Needed Escape

My family and I enjoyed our home away from home for several days while visiting NPI. Accommodations were great for our family, and my children made great use of the pools. This is our second time using Padre Escapes and we plan to return!

We Had a Pleasant Stay

The condo was just as pictured on the site. There were four of us, and it more than enough space. They set out soap, towels and paper towels for us, which made it very convenient. Loved that it had a washer/dryer! The condo was clean and in great shape. I would definitely stay here again. It was easy to reserve, and the property management company was very helpful when I couldn't find the unit. There were minor things not working -- ice machine wouldn't dispense, even after we cleared out the older ice in there; the can opener was broken -- they should replace it; and the sofa bed mattress was too thin --perhaps have a topper for the mattress stored in the closet to make it more comfortable. But overall, the condo was a good fit for us, it was close to the beach, and we would definitely rent there again. Tip for future renters -- bring your own laundry detergent as they provide one pod; and think about what you want to cook on your trip and bring the cooking tools needed. There was no cheese grater, and we needed one.

Last min get away

This is one of our go to places to stay , every unit we have gotten is always so clean. Kids love the pool here and beach is not far off. Highly recommend village at the beach if your looking for a place in north padre .

Stress-Free stay!

This was our second stay in the Village by the beach. We stayed at a larger place the first time with another family. This time, it was just us.
This place was clean and had almost everything that we needed...except for the coffee filters. A minor thing, really but thought I'd let you guys know. Anyway, we bought some coffee filters and left any extras for the next family. One last thing that I would recommend is that the toilet seat be replaced as it's pretty worn out. Other than these, the place looked great and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect spot for a vacation to the beach!!

Village by the beach was wonderful! Not only was the condo beautiful but the customer service was outstanding. Some outlets went out in the condo and I called to get it fixed, very fast response! The place was very clean and absolutely beautiful inside, just like the pictures! I will definitely be back!!!

5 star rating even with our bad Smoke Alarm experience!!!

We loved our stay here. The rental was very nice and clean. Good accommodations overall. A lot closer to the beach that I had expected, only a short walk away. My teenage daughters loved the bunkbeds. The only negative thing was on our 3rd and last night of stay, the smoke alarm kept going off about every 10 to 20 minutes. Wasn't a low battery chirp but would actually go off for about 4-6 seconds, definitely long enough to wake and give everybody a scare. Smoke Alarm went off about a dozen times total that night. There was no way of reaching the smoke alarms as this unit has very high ceilings. My wife was ready to pack up and leave at 2 am but we rode it out. When we checked out later that morning we called and reported it so it could get repaired hopefully before the next group of renters checked in.

FIVE STARS

We had an awesome experience. Very clean and the people working were very helpful. Not a huge fan of the app, as there was a few things that were damaged when I checked in but I emailed them instead of using the form in the app. Overall it was a great stay.

Snow-Bird retreat

Was all that we had hoped for. Location was just about as good as it gets. Love the proximity to the shops and varied places to eat in Corpus Christi! Only downside was the TV and internet provider, spotty at best.

Fun place to stay

Great place. Great pool. Great parking. Only issue was with bedroom bed was a little noisy. Couldn't move to find comfortable spot without waking everybody up. Family loved the pool and the distance to beach. All in all, I would stay again

Favorite place to stay!

We love renting these condos! This is our second year at this specific location and we will come back again! We love the pools and kiddie pool area, the bunk beds are always a hit and a nicely furnished, close to the beach location! Also, great customer service and easy checkin/check out!

Nice location

This was our second time staying here and love the fact that it has a full kitchen and washer/dryer. My only complaint was the king size mattress. It is so squeaky when you try to get in or out of the bed. Trying to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night wo waking up your partner—forget about it. They also need to get a new cutlery set. Otherwise, place is nice.

Last minute vacay

I will definitely be returning to this location. It was an amazing stay we even stayed an extra night! Only issues I had was the beds were very noisy getting on and off and they were not very comfy. Also the refrigerator was also making a loud noise which made it hard for the people sleeping on the bunk beds to sleep. I recommend they get new mattresses that are more comfy. Other than that it was such a great place and the pool was sparkling!

Nice for the most part

Decent, very clean and my kids loved the bunk beds. Disappointed in the bed in the main bedroom. Very uncomfortable and box spring made a horrible squeaking sound every little move you made. Kept us all up all night. So much for good sleep on vacation. Very minimal kitchen utensils/cookware. Only decent skillet had a loose handle so was almost unusable. Facility was nice and pool was great for kids. Close distance to the beach also. Overall good rental, but not the best.

Padre Island Stay

Overall a good stay in this unit. It was our first time to the island and the layout of this unit was perfect for our family. Very clean and nicely decorated. No coffee filters for the coffee maker or can opener, but besides that the kitchen was decently equipped. It would be nice if there was some kind of view, besides buildings all around. Our biggest complaint was the boxspings on the master bed. Like not just a little squeaky, but squeaky/creaky keep you up all night type noises with every move you make. Very aggravating. But like I said, overall a great unit and complex.

Corpus Christi

We really enjoyed our stay with Padre Escapes. We do wish the living area been cleaned better before our arrival. We found broken pieces of glass, one the hard way from a previous tenant. Called the local number and received a very lukewarm response. We cleaned the living area ourselves the first night there.

A quick trip

Wife and I were in NP for a quick fishing trip. Unit was very clean as was our unit when we stayed with Padre Escapes in August. This unit had less amenities, I.e., no cutting board. The television in the bedroom did not work and the refrigerator makes a noise. The front door would not close without slamming, but I repaired with lubricant. It's still a great unit and PE probably did not know of these problems.

Great family vacation

Wonderful vacation

We loved our stay with Padre Escapes. Our condo had everything we needed and was conveniently located close to stores and the beach. The pool is amazing, we spent almost as much time in the pool as we did at the beach. The property management responded quickly to any questions we had. Plenty of space for 3 kids. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Fabulous Condo!!

Lovely

Lovely home. We were very comfortable, slept well, and enjoyed such a convenient location by the beach. We did feel frustrated by the kitchen tools as the knives were barely sharp enough to cut with, the frying pan had a loose handle, and there was no cork screw. We also found many sharp tiny burrs in the unit, which I know are hard to clean up, but they were irritating to keep finding. I will also add that for just a weekend stay, all the extra fees added up to almost equal the initial rental price, which seemed kind of absurd. Overall we loved our visit, but those were the concerns we had.

Great condo!!!

I couldn't have been happier with this condo! A lot of items seemed new and never used and everything was in great shape. Beds were comfy and decor was beautifully coastal. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked with dishes and cookware that enabled us to cook all of our meals. The pool was absolutely beautiful as well and was a few steps from the front door (but not too close to hear constant screaming and noise from other guests while swimming). The beach was walking distance from the condo but we always drove so we could bring all of our large beach necessities with us (cooler, chairs, canopy, etc.). I will definitely be looking at renting this exact condo for our future stays on the island.

Wonderful rental

We enjoyed our stay at the Village by the Beach 1919K. The unit was very clean. We were in driving distance to any place we wanted to go to. I would recommend this property to anyon. We were close to the beach. Short drive to Corpus Christi.

Great Location

The overall experience was nice. The WIFI password given to us was incorrect and there was broken glass in the floor when we arrived. The apartment was clean other than that and the pool was great!
