Wonderful stay
Our stay was better than expected. Location was perfect pool was amazing and home had plenty of room. A map of what is around would be nice but everything was so close it was very easy to figure out.

We would come back
We really enjoyed this property. It was clean, and the splash pad and vicinity to the beach were great. I wish they allowed renters to use the pool at the adjacent property too. And I wish they had more Tupperware/ways to store leftover food. But overall very satisfied.

nice quick getaway
Overall, the Condo was very nice and clean. all the necessities, and very comfortable. my only complaint would have to be Parking. With no assigned parking, you are lucky to get a spot on the weekend, with very little space in the street to park. it was fine during the week, just parked on the weekend

Any additional parking does need to be done streetside or in any open guest parking spot with plenty scattered throughout the complex. Wish the splash pad worked
We were able to check into our condo on time as you still had people working on it. The entire time of our stay the splash pad right outside our back door did not work. After speaking with multiple other renters, people working on site and making a phone call and being told we would get a call back, never did. We found out on the day we were leaving, I kid you not we were loading the van Mt 4 yr old started to cry as he watched them turn on the splash pad. We found cheerios, hair knots and trash under tables and in some bed sheets. Not ours as my daughter is a red head and I have lighter hair. These were dark almost black. For what we paid I was so upset and it was not fun consoling 2 4 year olds as we left that we could not play on the splash pad. I WOULD LIKE FOR SOMEONE TO ACTUALLY CALL US BACK.

Nice condo, TVs didn’t work
This was our second time staying at Padre Escapes, first time in this unit. It is a great condo- easily fit our two adults and two teens. The three bathrooms were wonderful. Nice easy drive to the beach. Fold out credenza bed is great.

However we worked ao lung trying to get the main tv to work with the instructions, and couldn’t make cable or internet (Netflix, etc) work. Eventually someone came and got cable to the tvs, but only one ever connected to the internet. Kind or a bummer with teens who want to watch a movie at night.

Laundry was great, beds were comfy. Would have been nice to have a broom or vacuum for the sand.

Great townhome!
Had a great stay overall. The listing says it would fit 12 I believe but in my opinion that would not be comfortable. There were 9 of us - 3 kids, 1 infant, and 5 adults and even then we were trying to figure out where to sleep. Only disappointment is that it was difficult for my elderly in laws to go up and down the stairs and the only bed option downstairs are bunk beds. So my father in law had to sleep on the bottom bunk and my mother in law on the couch which we thought there was a pull out bed but it wasn’t. The kids had a blast at both pools and the beach! We had an incident where the roof started leaking and we called maintenance and they came right away. Only short solution was to stop using one of the showers until they could figure it out after we checked out which was the next day. Customer service offered to have extra towels brought over which was nice. We would book with them again!

Winter happiness
We were very happy with the unit.
Due to the fact that we consider it our home for two months, we would recommend updated furnishings in the living area. Couch had lost its firmness. Other than that it was wonderful!

Always fun!
We have stayed in this same condo for several years. If you have kids, the location of this condo in proximity to the smaller pool and splash pad can’t be beat. From our very first stay a few years ago to now, I can definitely see some wear and tear.. couch could really use replacing, rug in the living room could use cleaning, sink in upstairs guest bedroom makes very strange sound, gate lock to the pool is very hard to open etc., but overall, it’s still a fun place to stay with a great location. Our only real complaint this time was that there was a serious lack of pillow cases and that the playground was closed for renovations.

Review
We enjoyed our stay. The condo was mostly clean. There was a few good vrumbs in the living room, but overall it was clean. It was a short walk from the beach. There were plenty of supplies. The living room TV did not work with th wifi which was not a big deal. We were not There to watch TV. One complaint was when we extended our stay fir an extra day the wifi code was cut off and no New Code was sent. Also, we did not know it would require a new door Code and got locked out. When I called to extension our stay I should have been informed Codes would change. Over all we had a great time and will be back and will use Padre Escapes again.

Oma’s beach house
Overall, I had a good stay. The staff is very responsive and helpful. But I have several issues with the condo: despite several pest sprayings during my stay of six weeks, I saw a cockroach or two almost every day! Very unpleasant. The primary bathroom shower curtain needs to be replaced. It is rusty and gross. The lighting in the condo is very dim and poor. It was not as clean as I would have liked: I found dried beans and bits of popcorn on the floor when I moved in. Even though the places sleeps 12, there is only one towel rack in each bathroom which is ridiculous. The wash machine and dryer are very hard to start. Pushing the start button had to be done just so and it was hard to find that sweet spot. I was disappointed the playground was never opened. I saw no work being done on it.

There’s lots of space, my favorite part was the balcony in the master upstairs .

This was the best yet from Padre Escapes!
The Padre Escapes team is very friendly and great to deal with. They called to check to see if I received the check in code and information. This rental was really great! It was clean and it was just as expected. No complaints at all! It is an easy 5 minute (or less) walk to the beach, or a 1 minute drive. We absolutely love this area, and will be back again next summer for sure and will book with Padre Escapes once again!

Beautiful place to Stay
We had a wonderful time it was very close to the beach for our Grandkids ... and the rental was very clean ... the ice maker on the Refrigerator did not work but that was OK cause we had bags of ice... We will be staying here again Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay

GREAT Family Vacay
So pleased with our stay. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep and spread out. LOVED the decor, also the fact that the pool was right out our back door. Condo was just a block from the beach and the kids had a fantastic time. Will be back for sure!

Oma’s beach house
Overall, it was great! Close to the beach, the national seashore, the pools, playground everything. The place was clean and well laid out and supplied. My almost three year old granddaughter loved the place, calling it Oma’s beach house. Really a wonderful month.
The issues I have are minor. The bathrooms need more towel racks, one per bathroom is not enough, considering the place sleeps at least 10!
The beach/ocean decor is a bit over the top. But you can get used to it.
The wash machine was very temperamental. I had to call maintenance (they were very responsive) because I could not get it started. It was not broken, but even after they showed me how to set it, it did not always go on right away.
The lighting was a bit dim, maybe stronger light bulbs?
I am upset that starting 2021, there is a 60 night minimum stay. While it is great to get away from the cold of the northeast, 60 days is too long to be away from my activities at home.

Thank you for the feedback, we apologize for the confusion. For the months of January and February only we require a 60 night booking if you want the monthly rental rate. That requirement is lifted on April 1st and 30 night bookings are allowed. We have followed up and checked on your main concerns as well. A Little Hairy
It was a very nice place but we did notice a lot of hairs in beds and bathrooms. There needed to be more kitchen items like salt, pepper etc. Also it didn't seem like the linens were fresh and clean. Overall just an "Ok" stay.

We apologize for these issues, that is certainly not up to our normal standard. Cleaning is a priority for us so we will be sure to address it. The owner has also requested that the housekeeper who cleaned her property at that time be changed and we have done so. The state of Texas does not allow any food items to be transferred between stays, including salt, pepper, spices or oils. Thank you for the feedback, we will be sure to address each of your concerns.

Spring Break
The property was nice, clean,and comfortable for the five of us It was a good location at the end of the road and just a couple of blocks from the beach. It was a little cool most of the time we were there, but the heated pool was great for the grand kids. I definitely recommend this property.

What to say?
The accommodations were excellent but the weather for the month of February was not. 20 days of fog and cloud. And though the property is close to the beach, it is remote from shops and restaurants.

Family Trip
My family has been making trip to Padre Island for many years from San Antonio . We have discovered few years ago new place that absolutely caters to our family , which includes my 2 young grandkids. This is Village by the Beach . We stayed there now at least 5 times and plan on to continue to return. Our agent at Padre Escapes has always been there to attend to any of our needs . They are very best at what they do !

Great place
The condo was super nice. It is about a 1-2 block walk to the beach. The only suggestion I have is to add hooks in the bathroom- there was no place to hang bath towels.

Village by the Beach
We were very impressed with this condo. It was super clean, convenient to the beach and lots of room for our family. Having a pool right outside the door was wonderful. It was a great hone away from home! Would definitely stay here again.

Texas travel
The rental was absolutely beautiful, top quality, comfortable and relaxing. Being just across from the pool gave the townhouse a community feel. Closeness to sand dunes pathway to beach was only a three minute walk which we took almost daily.

Village by the Beach stay
Due to hurricane Harvey we needed to relocate for four months. We were fortunate to find this property..brand new and very comfy for two of us. The bed in the master bedroom was wonderful however it was a bit difficult for our older adult guests sleeping in bunk beds. Being new the condo was very well outfitted. A pleasure to stay there. We really did not have opportunity to use pool but it looked great.

Thank you for your feedback. We hope you are back home and recovering well from Hurricane Harvey. There is also a very comfortable credenza queen size bed in the living area. It is lower to the ground and is an option for those needing a queen bed that is easy to get into. Thank you again for the feedback.

Perfect Place to Stay
The property was WONDERFUL everything that was described was right on point. The place was very clean and well maintained. Everything you could possibly think of they had it covered from the lien to the kitchen. The beach was just around the corner walking distance from the Condo. The customer service was great . I have been telling everyone about the property. I would most definitely recommend this property I was "wowed" on how great it was
