The perfect beach-side condo!

Breathtaking views from the room, clean, well-maintained house, lovely interiors incorporating the local birds and animals into the decor make it the ideal place for a relaxed vacation. Mark was a great host, very responsive, made sure we had everything we needed in the house. We weren't able to see the sun rise due to it being cloudy both days we stayed there but I am sure it is beautiful. Will definitely come back again.

Wow! The place was immaculate.

Wow! The place was immaculate and would fit at least 6! We had 4 adults and 1 toddler staying and the view was spectacular!!! The beach was right at our footsteps. The rooms were great sizes (king) with great bathrooms and kitchen (with all amenities). If you are looking for a special place to stay on your trip to North Padre Island, this is it!

Great Condo and Location!

The condo and property were really clean and the check in process is easy as they have a front desk that is open until 11PM. The location is perfect as the walk to the beach is very easy compared to other properties in the area. The owner leaves an umbrella/chairs and even toys for you to use at the beach which saved us a lot of money as we did not need to purchase these items for the trip. The laundry is a bit pricey at $1.75 per wash and dry however, the front desk can give you change if needed. The owner was quick to answer any questions I had and is very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place in great location

The beach was right there, the property was clean. We had a problem with the TV, and the property owner was very responsive and helpful. The only thing that was a little different was the bedroom that shared a tv with the living room and was separated by a sliding wall/partition. It was space-friendly but would’ve been a little awkward had we been with another family and needed more privacy. We knew that when we booked it, though, bc the property description explains it all. We would stay there again, for sure.

Beautiful getaway

The VIEW ! You won’t be disappointed with this gem.

Pictures don’t do it justice. Easy check-in and if you need anything Mark responses and takes care of your needs immediately. You will need to bring your own toiletries but other than that, the condo is properly maintained.

Would highly recommend it!

We stayed here for our anniversary weekend after hours of online research. My wife wanted someplace quiet and clean, and I wanted someplace right in the beach. This place had it all. Mark’s communications were excellent and there’s great coffee, bars and restaurants within a few minutes’ drive. When we go to Corpus again, we will be calling Mark !

It is almost hard to explain how we are actually right on the beach. Most so-called Beachfront homes are rarely truly at the beach. Most have you walking a half mile traversing sand dunes that block the beach view all together. As you noted, it is a simple stroll to the beach. Our beach is manicured daily by the city and features a mile long seawall cement boardwalk. It is truly the perfect Beachfront location. If you find that this home is booked for your next stay, please take the time to contact me about our other two vacation homes there as well. All three boast the best Texas Gulf views available. We also have a four-bedroom waterfront condo on a canal just one minute from the beach that we call Paradise.

Sunrise On The Beach

This property is in a stunning setting right on the beach with truly one-of-a-kind sights and sounds of the ocean. The cleanliness and responsiveness of the property owner/manager is excellent. You will not find a more relaxing and pleasant place on the beach. My husband walked to the pier to fish, and we loved how much the Pelican is accessible for miles of ambling and shelling. Not to mention the heated pool and hot tub which gives you more outdoor recreation options. Highly recommend. Stayed 14 nights in Feb 2020

The location here is AWESOME!

When you first get there, it looks a bit shabby from the outside, but the condo has obviously been redone and is really nice. The front bedroom doesn't completely close off from the living room so put your early risers there. The view and ability to go down a few stairs to the beach made up for any issues I can think of, and I would 100% book this place again. Waking up and drinking my coffee while watching the waves was exactly what I needed! Awesome communication with host and they do a great job taking care of any problems immediately!

Return of a Bluffer

I grew up in Flour Bluff “Gateway to Padre Island” so it was nice to return to the beautiful beaches of North Padre. Five adults and 1 child fit nicely in the condo. Great location, view and friendly, helpful staff. We cooked every meal on site including using the gas grills. We will be back! Stayed 3 nights in May 2020

Excellent Accommodations!!

Fantastic views and location!! We were very pleased with this property and our communications with the property manager. The condo was clean, functional and significantly exceeded our expectations. The condo complex was also clean, and the pool area is awesome. The beach view from all the windows and porch was fantastic. We also were able to see a full moon which was spectacular. A True Gem!

Mark’s fabulous “Pelican Condo”

We couldn’t have picked better lodgings, location or hosts. This tastefully remodeled 2-bedroom condo is spacious, very comfortable and spectacularly clean. The fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals onsite. We appreciated the excellent beds and bedding, large-format TV, good WIFI, reliable air-conditioning – and amazing water pressure! We also enjoyed their closet-full of puzzles, games and books. Best of all was the VIEW. This condo has floor-to-ceiling windows across its entire facade, plus an ample balcony, and is truly ON THE BEACH… no streets, parking lots, fences or other structures obscuring the amazing seaside panorama. The sunrises were beautiful, as was the nighttime sky. The surrounding shoreline isn’t densely developed, and the nearby dunes and green spaces enhance the overall ambiance. Although many visitors park on the hard sand during the day, everyone is gone by sunset, leaving the beach to the “locals.” Beach access was super-easy via the condo-hotel’s secure front gates. In the “condotel” common area, the large swimming pool was refreshing and the shuffleboard fun! Check-in via the front lobby was also extremely efficient, complete with large trolleys to schlep luggage and groceries to the elevators. Overall, our stay at Mark’s Pelican Condo surpassed our highest expectations. We can’t wait to return!

Outstanding view directly on the Gulf! We stayed in unit 412 and really enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows. Host Mark is responsive and easily accessible by phone. Highly recommend. Side note: communicate with the front desk and make sure they know the time you intend to check out.

We had such a lovely stay. The beds are comfy, the kitchen has everything you need for cooking, and the view of the beach is so beautiful! We had such a relaxing stay. You are right on the beach. Waking up to watch the sunrise is a must! You can literally watch the sun rise over the ocean from your bed. We also appreciated the beach chairs found in a bedroom closet as we had forgotten ours. Mark was attentive and helpful, a great host! I would definitely recommend staying here and we hope to return!

Outside of the building was a bit dated, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the apartment and the decor was nice. The view from the apartment was amazing, sunrises especially. Wow!

Literally on the beach with spectacular sunrises. The condo is just as pictured and described. The staff at the complex are wonderful... we were checked in and into our room in less than 10 minutes! The pool is cleaned daily and the hot tub ... very relaxing! There is a new grocery store on the island (opened 3 weeks ago!) which was super convenient. The grills are fired up every evening so cooking our meals was super convenient. Highly recommend the Pelican! Response from Mark

Fantastic getaway

We did not stay in this property, but one by the same owner, in the same building, but the layout etc. was basically the same. We totally enjoyed our stay, except the weather was terrible, but that made it even more enjoyable since we had to spend so much time indoors. We cooked almost all of our meals, and we had everything we needed in the way of appliances and kitchen utensils and gadgets. The beds were super comfortable, and the Internet was perfect for streaming and Zoom calls for my work, just as promised. I highly recommend these owners and their properties!

Perfect Beach Front Condo

The location is perfect. We have 2 small kids (1 and 3 years old) and walking out onto the sand was my primary need with my small children. Check in was more than simple and the condo was very tidy and clean on the inside. The resort has a pool and hot tub which were very fun and handy. I will definitely stay here again. Mark's place is marvelous. Lying in bed with the full wall of windows looking at the beach was awesome. Coffee on the balcony as the beach begins to rustle. Awesome vacation

Beautiful view from condo makes this one of our favorite vacations. The beach is so close, the property well kept and easy to get in and out. The condo itself was comfortable to stay in, it had all the supplies we needed, nice decor and an amazing view. We needed help our first night there and maintenance was super quick to respond. We needed to know what type of coffee at grocery store and owner was super sweet and fast to get us the info we needed. Loved this VRBO.

This place is by far the best place we have ever stayed in, very clean, colorful on the inside, furniture and beds are very comfortable. what they provided was enough to be comfortable for a family trip. The host Mark is very friendly, and he makes sure you’re comfortable, he goes above and beyond. Accessible to the beach and a very clean and beautiful big pool. Very nice and friendly staff on building, easy check in and check out. Definitely 5 stars for our experience, I’m sure we will be staying at this place for our next family vacations to Corpus Christi.

Staying at Mark's condo was everything we hoped it would be and more. Excellent communication from Mark about repairs that were taking place at the complex. Despite the repairs on the building, we had a very quiet and peaceful stay overlooking the beach and enjoying the spectacular sunrise with our coffee on the balcony every morning. The place was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, (even though we ate out every day). The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The view was gorgeous. The host was caring, helpful, and quick in response. Although it was cold and drizzling in 4 out of 5 days in our stay, we truly enjoyed the view and the serenity. Only a couple very small issues which was not a big deal.

Great Experience

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks. It was a great experience from start to finish. Mark was by far the most proactive VRBO host we have ever had. He contacted us on check in day to let us know that the unit was ready for an early check in if we wanted. We had to extend our stay and Mark was proactive in offering more supplies if we needed it. It was a very easy experience to rent this unit. The property itself was awesome. They had staff available to help with any issues. That was a nice touch. The deck was fantastic for coffee in the morning. It was right on the water which was very convenient. Don't hesitate to rent this unit. Stayed 13 nights in Jan 2022

That view

The view and location is great. Mark was amazing ensuring everything was ready and offering early check in. The only complaint is that the wall separating the master from the living room is slatted as well as it doesn’t shut all the way due to the tv mount so it doesn’t offer much privacy if there with others. Great location and right on the sand!

My wife, 1.5-year-old daughter and I came down just for a night and it was so easy. The owner texted and called me to make sure I received the check in information and even let us check in early free of charge. The condo is right on the beach so you can walk directly from your room! You are also right next to the entrance to the beach if you want to drive your car and park there. Once the sun starts to go down behind the building, switch from the beach and walkover to the heated pool to catch those last few hours of sun! Gone are the days of sitting in the pool behind a building with no sun at 7pm! Stayed 1 night in Apr 2022

Great location, comfortable home

We had a terrific stay at The Pelican. The view was great, access to the beach couldn't have been better, the home was comfortable, clean and roomy. We enjoyed a drive to Mustang Island and the Leon Abel Turnbull Birding Center where we saw a remarkable number of water and shore birds. The USS Lexington Museum in CC was another great stop. And the clean, groomed beach was a hit. Staff at the complex are super friendly and helpful. 5-star location. Stayed 3 nights in Apr 2022

We liked the patio furniture so much, we ordered some from the store in Corpus for our pool area! The host is kind, thoughtful and things about his guests…example…he provided us extra towels for a longer stay. The property called us when the unit was ready early indicating we could come anytime instead of waiting until check in time. The owner called after we arrived to ensure we had what we needed and were satisfied. And they had coffee juice and donuts so when the hungry travelers who decided to watch the waves the night before instead of going grocery shopping had something to fuel them before going grocery shopping the next morning! So, if you want a place with excellent staff, thoughtful owners and views that can’t be beat…this is the place for you!

Perfect beach experience!

When our regular beach condo was booked, we stumbled upon this gem which met all our (very high) expectations. Perfect location right on the beach. The condo was very comfortable for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Mark was very easy to work with. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Perfect location, family oriented

I stayed here with my adult daughter and 2 year old granddaughter; the location and amenities suited us perfectly. The condo was clean and well cared for; the staff in the complex were friendly, helpful and seemed happy (happy employees speak volumes for the quality of a business in my opinion). We took advantage of the pool every day. It also was clean and well cared for. Would recommend this place for anyone wanting a home base right on the beach.

Relaxing

I took my 15-year-old daughter & her best friend for a little birthday get-away, and we had a great time. Upon arrival our first thought was that this was no five-star hotel, but we were relieved when walking inside the condo. It was a cute, comfortable unit & was very clean. The views were magnificent & the condo was equipped with everything you need. For dinner out, first we went to Padre Burger Company.

Perfect location!

I booked this trip at the very last minute for a teen staying with us who has never been to or seen a beach or ocean. It was an amazing place and such a perfect location! Maybe 100 steps to the water’s edge!!!! Absolutely beautiful view of the ocean and the entire wall of the ocean facing wall was all windows. The kitchen had everything needed to cook and there were beach toys in the closet. Easy check in and the property also had a pool and spa and was surrounded by beautifully landscaped tropical plants. Very nice and very well done.

Perfect for staying with teens and 9 year old

WOW, when you walk in the VIEW!!!!! And then, the room for my teens to have space, TV and room to spread out and feel at home. The property owner was so welcoming and ensured we knew where to go and local "to-do" options. For never being to the area at all, I felt so comfortable staying here as a Mom with 3 kids in tow for Spring Break. Lovely Lazy Beach Weekend

This condo is beautiful! It has an incredible unobstructed beach view. The beds were comfortable, as well as the other furniture. You can lie in bed and enjoy the view. The balcony was delightful, and we spent much time enjoying the sea breeze outside. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen is well equipped. The only complaint was the noisy yard work that started up around 7:30 Monday morning. But that’s out of the owners control. Owner communication was great and checking in and out was simple. BEST CONDO ON THE ISLAND. (Coming from a local) This one is the best experience we have ever had. We meant to book two nights, however we did only book one (user error) and the owner reached out via phone call to confirm everything. Which is extra thoughtful, and sent a list of local restaurants, attractions etc. The view was amazing! The photos don’t even do justice to the view! It was AMAZING. When we walked in, they had snacks and juice for our son, and a very coastal background on the tv that really set the mood. It was by far the cleanest, most professional and enjoyable condo we have ever stayed in. The pool was great (super clean), and it was really just a great process from start to finish. We have been in every condo on windward down here on the island. This one is worth every penny. Spend the extra money on a GREAT experience. We even left an expensive pair of sunglasses, and we went back after checking out and they had them, which is extremely rare.

Lovely view & easy beach access Very beautiful & breathtaking panoramic view of beach. Beds & bedding were exceptionally comfortable. We all slept amazingly. We enjoyed the Lazy Boy recliners to relax in & kick back. They had all the pans & cookware, so we were able to make breakfast easily each morning. It was nice to not have to physically leave to see the beach & see what was going on down there while planning our day. We rented a golf cart with speakers which made the stay even more fun. We cruised the beach on it every night & looked for crabs. Our 6-year-old boy loved his room which was so cute! He enjoyed the beach toys that were provided in the room to build sandcastles. We enjoyed the chairs & beach umbrella which was easily carted around on the golf cart. They provided some waters & apple juices & various snacks in the room. We enjoyed putting together a puzzle that was in the room as a family evening activity as well. It was difficult to leave, we so enjoyed our stay. The only issues we had which were not the owner’s fault was that our key card stopped working & locked us out so we had to get new keys from the office & the elevator was down one day. The pool needs work on how cloudy it was. But again, that was separate & just a suggestion that the place might work on a better pool maintenance system to make it sparkle. We would definitely stay again. The owner stayed in touch & was very attentive throughout. Just a lovely & rejuvenating stay. Beautiful memories for our little family were made. Enjoy!

The check-in process was very clear and easy, with plenty of available parking! Mark's proactive and friendly communication was great. The location was just amazing with the easily accessible beach directly outside the balcony, the pool outside the front entrance and some good eats not too far a drive away. It was a perfect place to unwind with the family before school started back up.

The property was great! View of the beach at all times and you can walk out to the beach. Great spot for the kids and a honeymoon! Personally enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning and evening. Sunrise and sunsets are amazing. The owners were very welcoming and made sure our experience was well.
