Surfside 111

We had so much fun! This property was perfect if you’re traveling with children. We will be booking this place every summer!
The ONLY negative thing is the lock on the gate was a little contrary.

It was nice to have so much room to spread out. It felt like being in a small stand alone home which sounds odd but was nice. It's in an older complex. I've stayed at a few other places in the area and this was the oldest feeling one. Not bad but old and kind of run down.

We loved the vacation rental at Surf Side. It was a spacious 2 bedroom that had everything we needed. We were walking distance from the beach and the pool was awesome! We will definitely come back again!

Check in was 40 minutes late. I didn’t know the outside of a building looked like a cheap motel with quarter-machine-beds. But the inside was very pleasant. Very spacious and clean. The shared pool is quite small, and you might have to deal a few not-family-friendly neighbors who just came back after last call at the Salty Dolphin next door.

This is our favorite place to stay and it did not disappoint. I like the convenient changes in e-mail notifications and electronic check in and out. Place is always clean and staff is always friendly. Condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay, can’t wait for our next visit.

This was our third stay at the Surfside Condos. The last two in #111. First of all, the communications from Padre Escapes is great. They seem very organized and check in is a breeze. 111 is great for a couple. It was clean and comfortable. The proximity to the beach is the best reason to stay there. Also, the pool is great and parking was easy. The only small downside was the tv. A user programing guide would have been helpful. That said, we look forward to returning in the future.

Unit was clean and free of bugs, didn’t see any the entire time we were there. Loved having 3 recliners. Having one in a bedroom allowed both of us to be comfortable watching different TV’s. Needs better internet, it only worked in living/dining room, never in bedrooms. We have reservations for 2024. Seeing friends from all the yrs we’ve been coming to Surfside was a bonus.

The condo was everything we expected. Clean and roomy. Outside the condo, the main thing that bothered us was several smokers hanging out in the walk ways so second hand smoke was unavoidable. But it is a quick walk to the beach which was very clean. The beach was a little crazier than last time as they opened up more of it to motored vehicles.

Surfside 111 was very clean and met our needs as expected. The beds and chairs were comfortable and we liked the big screen tv. Also, the pool was great and not crowded during the week. The only downside was the noise from the condo above us during the day. At least they went to bed at night. All in all, a good stay. We will be back.

The house is actually much smaller than it appears in photos (I’ve found that’s always the case with these rentals though). I feel like there is way too much furniture in the unit, taking up too much space. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. What this place has going for it though, is the location. A very short walk to the beach just across the road. The pool area is very nice, although smaller than it appears also. The staff was wonderful, what little contact we had with them. My only complaint about the house was the mildew smell. It seemed to be worse in the kitchen when opening the cabinet doors. Maybe it’s just dampness in the air from the ocean. I don’t know. But there definitely needs to be some air freshener, candles burning, something to try to mask that. I’m also not cool with there being no washer/dryer in the unit, although I knew that when I booked it. The laundry facilities on site, while sufficient, are lacking. One of the three washers was out of service, and one of the ones I used did not spin the clothes out so I had to actually wring every garment out, and then still needed two dry cycles (all at $2 each).

Very convenient location, ideal if you want to be close to the beach! The place felt like home. We will be staying again over the summer, if not sooner. Everyone was very nice and professional. Kids really enjoyed the heated pool. Nice grounds with a few grills.

N. Padre Island is a great beach with just the right amount of things to do. We enjoyed the beach, the Lexington, and miniature golf. Surfside condos are great! Location is across the street from the beach, which in my opinion is better than being on the beach, you can get away from the wind and sand. Very nice unit!

Wonderful condo just across the street from White Cap Beach. Plenty of room and very clean. The kitchen had plenty of cooking supplies. Nice pool too!

Had a great time walked on the beach every day.
Enjoyed the food at the Boat House. Glad that General Dollar was close by. Great pool was on the property and the activities they had to do.

We’ve stayed at Surfside Condos many times thru the years and,obviously, have always been satisfied. The condos are always clean, comfortable and well maintained. The grounds are well taken care of and private. The local staff are always professional and friendly. The only complaint I would have is the constant bombardment and reminders from Padre Escapes. Have never dealt with them before, usually just the local staff. Kept receiving reminders by text and email even after everything had already been paid. As far as the condos themselves, very happy. Would go more often if we didnt have to book 2 nights. Not always convenient.

Room was great but the unit we booked was 216 and a month before they called and said that something was wrong and could not be occupied...well low and behold the family of the owner was there staying...the simple truth would have been nice instead of a lie. The sweet lady that cleans the rooms is absolutely awesome...

Surfside 111 was clean and roomy. The decor was beautiful and updated. We totally enjoyed our stay and will continue to return ( been coming since 1992, which says something in itself), I have to say though that the beds in the second bedroom were much too hard which made for an uncomfortable sleep. Also the doors need DW40. Much too squeaky! With that said, grounds were beautiful, as usual, pool was great. Staff was great. Other guest were friendly But the wind was crazy!
