Nautica Retreat TN304K

This our third time in this complex and our second in this rental. It is a nice place, good location and we like the complex. There are a couple things that need to be addressed. The couches, have got to be cleaned or replaced. They are filthy, stained and smell bad. We covered them with extra blankets and beach towels because no one wanted to sit on them. The pool was having some kind of issue, the water was opaque and hot... not warm but hot... not sure if the pump isn't running long enough or there is a bigger issue but it was not swimmable. Management alerted the complex for us, but it hadn't been rectified by the time we left. The kitchen needs to be stocked better. It needs more dishes, a decent knife or two and a can opener. Finally while we understand and appreciate that Padre Escapes only gives enough stuff to get started and 1 towel per guest, maybe they rethink that a little - a couple extra bath towels, kitchen towels, washcloths, dishwasher packs, would go a long way to making the whole experience nicer. We are paying a lot for a rental and it isn't so nice to feel like everything is...bare bones. We have booked through Padre Escapes for a decade now and will continue to do so, they are great and so helpful and friendly, but it really would make the guest experience a lot nicer if it was a little more comfortable. It wouldn't cost a lot, but it would make a big difference.

The house was excellent! Perfect for the 6 of us. 4 adults and 2 kids. 2 blocks from the beach. Very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The place had all the items needed for a few days stay. If you are staying longer than 3 days definately bring/buy extra laundry detergent. Close to a few restaurants, local grocery store, boat slip channel, and gas stations. Property grounds are ok. The only downside was the pool. It was cloudy and couldn't see more than 6 inches into the water. The grandkids used it for about 10 minutes. Definately would stay again!

Very nice town home, two stories, pool just steps away in back yard. Everything worked well in the house, nice to have a washer/dryer to clean clothes. No access to garage but not a big deal. Good sized living area so the family could hang out, then nice bedrooms upstairs for plenty of people to stay.

Everything was great. The only thing we found was the floors were extremely dirty. We spilt a drink and we were cleaning it and we wound up mopping the whole floor because of the dirt we were coming across. Three buckets of water later it was still bad

We had a wonderful vacation here. The condo had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and though we did need a few more linens, the staff at Padre Escapes were helpful and quick to oblige. I would say the couches are in need of deep cleaning, if not out right replacing, but that was the only downside.

The home was spacious for our family of 4. The house was pretty inside and very clean. We love Padre Escapes because of the cleanliness we have experienced in the past. Some of the faucets were squeaky - master shower and kitchen, but they worked. Plenty of closet space, and the extra half bath is nice when there are 4 of us. The outside of the property could use some maintenance and updating - the pool was dirty because the palm trees aren't maintained well. There were stepping stones that are broken. And there is a big, open lot next to Unit 101 that is full of trash and junk, and a truck parked in the grass - it looks terrible and if I owned a property here, and paid $400/month in the HOA fee, I would be very unhappy. We wanted to love Nautica because we are looking at purchasing our first rental at N Padre, but unless the maintenance and cleaning up of the outside of the property happens, we won't be staying here again.

We enjoyed our time on the island. The condo was clean, decorated nicely and accurate to photos. Enjoyed the pool and beach was within walking distance.

Suggestions: The Keurig didn’t work. Towel situation was meager for 6 people. No “extra” blanket or pillow... one of our party of 6 slept on the couch and I had to drive home to CC for a blanket.

The condo was in a great location, 1/4 - 1\2 mile from the beach. The condo was clean and spotless upon arrival. Only issue I had with the condo was addressed by maintenance on the day it was reported. If taking a boat be aware of the tides; the entry to the canal system gets shallow and a sand bar has developed about 30’ out from the end of the boat ramps, these are things beyond the control of the condo owners. In addition, the parking area for boat trailers is a little soft and could cause a 2 wheel drive to get stuck, I did but with a little help I was able to get out with little to no damage to the sandy lot.

Renting through Escapes was a breeze, although at beginning after making reservations, text messages from Padre Escapes were unidentifiable and I was wary to answer and verified through their app first before responding.
The rental was great! Perfect for 4-6 people, two blocks from our favorite beach. Very clean, beds and pillows very comfortable. I do suggest door mats inside front and back doors to catch sand from shoes as you step in. There were 2 coffee pots, one Mr Coffee...and a Keurig, but that didn’t work. Needed major cleaning. Only big disappointment...swimming pool had no lights in it for swimming at night (pool open till 10 pm), and there are no lights around the pool area, except for under pavilion at one end.

I am happy with the stay that brought my family together from other cities. It was very close to the beach, groceries, bars and restaurants. The condo was spacious and clean. Beyond that the pool was nice, just a bit small. Also, there was a load of mosquitos around the entry / door ways. It would be nice to have curtains on the windows and extra towels. The dryer did have to be turned back on to dry items fully. I did try to reach the management company through email, text, and through the app, the day before and of checkout but was unsuccessful in receiving a response regarding the option for late check out. Overall, we would stay here again.

Generally very good. Furniture could use some updates....more dining chairs and a recliner would have been great. Pillows need to be replaced. Could use outdoor furniture around the pool area...ie tables and chairs and chaise lounge would have made the pool area a lot more comfortable. Close to the beach! Quite!

This townhome was perfect for us. We were in for my daughter's graduation from TAMU-CC and had 5 people in our group, there was room for more in this townhome it was so spacious. Didn't feel cramped at all.

be sure to bring coffee and filters as none are provided. There is a grocery very near by.

We loved the location of the condo. It was a very short drive to the beach. We loved that the pool was literally steps from the back door. My only complaint about the pool was the lack of lighting at night. The condo itself was the perfect fit, I would recommend bringing your own pillows, as the ones provided are extremely thin. The blankets were very thin as well. The one thing I did wish I knew in advance was that the bunk beds are actually smaller than twin size so if you have teens/young adults they may not fit comfortably. Even with that we loved our stay and have declared this our new go to spot!
