The condo location was great with a beautiful view of the canal behind and nice deck to sit on. Problem was it had Roaches I’ve stayed in a lot of condos and this is the only one that we killed multiple roaches in throughout the entire stay building maintenance came and sprayed when I told them but we still killed roaches after the fact. Also bed had hairs on the sheets and pillows had blood stains on them it was very gross we went and bought our own bedding for the beds. Mattress felt like you were laying on a plywood bed never in my life felt a cheaper more solid rock hard mattress. All in all we had to stay because we had already paid and made the trip but we will not be staying here again and would never recommend it to anyone. This is my first bad review of any location I’ve ever stayed at.

The location is really good and close to everything. Unfortunately the property is pretty shabby with leaky showers and visibly dirty linens. The wifi was also not working and even though we informed as soon as we arrived, they were unable to fix the issues. We were told someone would come back the following day from 9-10am and we stayed back until 10:30am but no one did until 1pm. We wasted time waiting for nothing.

Salty Rim was great but them beds were too hard lol , king beds would help imo but other then that place is great and the boat deck is a great plus...

We also appreciate the Salty Rims dock because it's the ideal spot for a private view of the bay, some little dock fishing, and watching the sun set. We are sorry you didn't love the beds. If you would prefer a king bed for the following stay, give one of our knowledgeable reservationists a call right away so they can find you the ideal room. We look forward to having you again!

We’ve stayed many times at Puenta Vista, first time on the canal side and first time bringing a boat. The location is perfect, the kids had a fun time fishing off the little dock. The kitchen is well stocked and the AC was cold. Garage access for large ice chess and fishing gear. The beds were the most uncomfortable mattress ever, we felt like we were sleeping on box springs.

When bringing a boat be sure to launch your boat and move your truck/trailer back to the property if using the ramp inside the subdivision. There were no instructions with the boat tag we picked up, and assumed that because we were in the neighborhood we were allowed to use their ramp and parking area since we had a tag. We fished from 10a- 4:30 and went back to grab my truck/trailer and Found that it was towed. If you’re not familiar like the area or the ramps, be sure to ask for a map, and what exactly the boat tag means when launching your boat at this property. Lessoned learned. Over all we had a great time.

Great house, lots of space, wonderful dock area, great location. Would stay at this location again.
House had dead roaches in stove drawer (where pizza pans were) and on floors. No washer / drier in unit (coin option on property). Since no washer, should have more towels. There were not enough pillow cases or towels.

Lovely place to stay for the weekend. Clean and creek view to fish nice.
I did have a problem with 2nd restroom not having hot water. Was not aware until close to leaving and by then maintenance was offer but we were ready to leave. Management was so nice and helpful. If it wasn’t for this, my satisfaction would have been a 5.

Out of all the rental properties we’ve stayed at with this company this unit is not at all up to the standards we’re used to. This unit was outdated, not very clean, roaches and water bugs all throughout the unit. They had a dehumidifier hooked up in main bedroom draining into the master bath sink which made it super hot in that room. The toilet tanks wouldn’t fill up with water we had to fill pots to pour in the tank to get it to flush until my husband finally figured out what was wrong and fixed them. Although the view was very pretty we would not stay here again. The roaches alone were just too much.

The only knock we have was the kitchen hardware ie plates pits pans silver ware all need updated. But we enjoyed our stay and are planning on headed back next summer.

Convenient location. Good price for a 3 bedroom. Beds were a little hard and the door locks need some attention. All in all I would stay there again.

The condo was fine, but I chose this condo specifically for my aging father and I to do some fishing off of that dock the property highlighted in its marketing. The proximity to the condo steps and the cleaning station were paramount. When we arrived another family had completely claimed the entire dock and I came to find out the dock is "private" for the renters of the larger unit in the building. Definitely not what the photos promised. I would have chosen a different rental had I understood this to be the case.

No docks at this complex are private. The "Private" signs mean private to the complex not open to the public.

The complex is great, located in a nice neighborhood right across the causeway. Very convenient to H‐E‐B and the beach. The pool is also nice. The docks are fantastic for fishing and spending quiet time by the water. The unit itself was ok- furniture is definitely dated and not very comfortable. The AC has to work pretty hard so some rooms are cooler than others- make sure to leave all fans on. Bathrooms seem to have been recently updated and nice. The kitchen had everything we needed and more.... keurig, full size coffee maker, blender, and lots of pots & pans and tools. I would absolutely stay here again.

My family and I had the privilege of staying at the Salty Rim for three nights and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We had everything we needed, the kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of towels and sheets. And although we did not go to watch TV, I was impressed with the of amount shows and movies provided for guest to enjoy, something that we never find at a hotel. Communicating with the providers was also extremely easy, even though it was the weekend. I never felt as though our needs, not that we had many, were ever ignored. The beds are not super comfortable, but they were decent enough for us to sleep on every night. My family also had a blast fishing from the canals, and just being able to wake up and sip my coffee while gazing at the water was nice. Our only issue was that there were quite a few large black gnats that were ever present from the moment we showed up. They loved the dining room table and kitchen counter tops, and no matter how much we sprayed and disinfected while we were there, we could not get rid of them and they made the place feel a bit dirty even if it really wasn’t. Other than that we had a great time and definitely plan to go again someday!

We just got home from the Salty Rim after staying 2 months and it was awesome! The location of the condos was perfect being so close to stores, restaurants, and the beach. The unit was specious with large windows and patio doors and included everything we needed. The only thing we would have changed would have been the beds, they are not very comfortable. We did have a couple other glitches in the beginning but Padre Escapes handled both issues quickly and professionally. We would love to stay there again. Thank you so much for the great experience.

5 people stayed. Nice location. Master bedroom/bathroom good. Second bedroom with hi-riser bed did not work. 3rd bedroom was fine. Chairs in living room needed tightening!!! Almost fell. Carpet was a little dirty. I guess cleanup by your maintenance/maids was a bit quick.

We stayed for a couple of day for my mothers birthday. There were 7 of us total and we felt like we had plenty of room. The location was great, the kids really enjoyed being able to fish right outside of the condo. It was also convenient to everything we wanted to do in Corpus. Seeing the location next time I will bring the boat.

My family enjoyed it, we felt comedy and it had a great home-y feel. Close to some great fishing spots. And you’re in a short drive away from both Corpus Christi and Port Aransas! We can’t wait to come back!

Overall good experience! Only thing was the first day we showed up there was a huge dumpster covering all the parking space , so the was no space to park then a day or two after they removed it . And I never got a code for the community swimming pool .

They were roofing the condo when we arrived and we had to listen to an air compressor and nailing gun for days. We should have gone directly to the rental agency but only sent an email. When we couldn't tolerate the noise any longer they came and offered us some options. They were very accommodating. The condo needs some screen on one door, bent screen on another so you could not leave it open. No binder in condo regarding WIFI, etc. Outside needs some work. Should also have at least 2 Tv's when renting especially to 4 people.

The HOA did not make us aware of the roff work so unfortunately you were put in the property during the time it was occurring. If we'd known we wouldn't have put you in there, glad we were able to work it out but of course disappointed it happened. Thank you for the feedback.
